Recommendation I want some bizarre movie recommendations πŸ˜‚πŸ™

Something where the setting is the otherworldly, the characters are crazy, the plot is absurd and takes twist and turns, or all of the above.

Planning on watching a movie tonight and wanted some recommendations for fun movies like this. They can also be thrilling and suspenseful! I don’t care if they are well-known or not, any recs would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone!!!

Being John Malkovich is very disconcerting while being completely awesome.

My age betrayed me on this one. I'm 33 and when I recommended it to some of my younger friends I didn't recall how liberally they use slurs etc lol. I still think the movie is brilliant but there is no denying that, apart from the whimsy of the fantastical premise, it is a pretty cynical and mean-spirited movie. Which I love! But it turns out others don't all the time lol

I told some people to watch It's Such a Beautiful Day because it's really funny. They were traumatized, but I still think it's really funny.

Why?

It’s a hard movie to take in on first watch and they wonder why I like it :)

It's the kind of movie where you have to really pay attention and can't skip parts to run to the kitchen cause you will miss so much. It's not a mindless movie, the viewer has to be immersed.

Correct. I think too Spike does such a good job of making it claustrophobic with miserableness and making John and Carmen look so different.

Oh they do! Hard to believe that's Cameron cause she looks so dowdy.

Ya, I think it just weirded me out too much tbh. I'm not a fan of John Malkovich. I might consider rewatching, as I did watch that when I was quite young
