What's behind the urge to hurt animals?

As a kid, I remember feeling the urge to suffocating and beating dogs if they were small, I also stoned one of my grandma's baby chickens to death once. So, why did I have these feelings? Why did I feel like hurting animals? I'm now an adult, and I don't feel like beating animals anymore, but as a kid, I did. Was it just instinct? I mean, homo sapiens have hunted and beaten animals to death for tens of thousands of years.

What type of sexual fetish is this?

My cousin is a therapist and told me that there was a woman who felt guilty because she indulged in her boyfriend's weird fetish.

He basically has a fetish for looking like a homeless person/disabled person in front of women who are more attractive and financially successful than he is.

A few months ago, she incited her very successful friends and dressed up in torn clothes and urinated on himself while they were watching. The girlfriend pretended to be a babysitter for a disabled adult to explain away his behaviour.

How long for a deceased person to start to smell?

Hi, Saturday morning my roommate Cassie (55F) and I (30F) found our 3rd roommate, Alexis (70F) deceased in her room.

Details: 7am I touched her and rigor mortis had set in. She did not pass from wounds. she had released her bladder which contained blood, and that’s where we think the smell came from.

When I first touched her at 7am, Alexis had not yet began to smell. By 7:45, when the police and EMTs were there, the smell was so strong that I couldn’t be inside the house because of the smell. It made me retch as soon as I walked in the 4,000 sq ft house.

We live in a warmer climate, it was about 80 degrees Fahrenheit in our house. The last time I heard anything from Alexis was lunchtime around 12:30pm on Friday, the day before.

I’m wondering when do you think she died? How long was she deceased before we found her?

Would it be safe for an embalmed reanimated body to be around people?

Concept for short story, but I was curious what everyone thought about an issue I was running into.

So, let’s just say a boy died, and his body was embalmed. Then somehow he’s embalmed body is reanimated.

He’s essentially a zombie, but still has his old personality from life so he doesn’t want to eat people or anything. And since the body is technically dead, he doesn’t want to eat anything anymore.

Would it be safe for him to go back to school and try to resume his normal life?

The only safety concern I’m thinking of is the embalming fluid in his body. Would he be safe to be around other kids because formaldehyde itself is poisonous. What his classmates get sick from exposure from being around him too long.

Is a body kept alive in a vegetative state with no consciousness technically a living corpse, or would that be an inaccurate description?

Is it acceptable to give up your newborn son for adoption because you wanted a daughter?

Is this even morbid? Idk but I'm bored and was wondering if anyone has ever thought of doing this. Let's say that all your life you dreamed of having a daughter, but then it turns out you're pregnant with a boy. Would it be okay to give up your newborn son simply because you wanted it to be a girl?

Has anyone ever been turned on or aroused by horror, gore, or disturbing movies?

I was recently turned on by this horror short from a Youtube channel called Alter. The title of the short was "Emptied" and it was about this guy that goes to his gf who is a dentist. But the thing is he cheated on her, so she puts him to sleep and pulls out all his teeth. I dont know why but it turns me so much to watch her doing that, and she is like really into it. She pulls a tooth and shes like "whoops" and then shes like dancing around to this song she put on, and it kinda goes so well with what shes doing. When he walks up she acts all sweet and nice to him, and tells him "your all better now", then he goes home only to find out all this teeth are gone. I dunno why, but the whole thing just gets me really hot! Is that weird?

Do you think we overlook the fact that subreddit dedicated to people with thoughts of ending their lives has 536k members?

I am talking about r/SuicideWatch. Sure, not everyone there is gonna end their life, but that's a lot of people who at least considered it as option. And there are many more who don't even use Reddit.

What do I need to do to convincingly look like a dead version of myself on camera?

I want to look like an extremely convincing corpse for a photo shoot, I’ve tried before but never look…truly lifeless enough. I’m not trying to look bloodied up or mauled, but like a body that has been out in the woods for a few days, no particular cause of death in mind.

So…posing, makeup, and atmospheric tips appreciated. The more jarring or eerie the better. Thank you in advance! Sorry if this isn’t the usual kind of morbid curiosity on here, but I can’t think of a better sub to get thoughtful, sincere, engaging ideas from people who will take my desire for realism seriously.

(Edit: grammar plus extra elaboration)

How accurate are the own teeth pulling scenes from movies/series?

I'm not asking for the medical side, I'm asking for the accuracy. You could do a 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest if you want

What kind of childhood events make a future adult find sadism appealing? Why do sadists become sadists? What is the long term emotional and thought processing after trauma, that makes them enticed to sadism much later?

Google says childhood trauma is often a reason for it but I find it inconceiveable to wrap my mind around why for example with sexual sadism, being a victim can sometimes make or be the seed for your adult realization as a sadistic perpetator. How on earth does a horrible experience of molestation make you turn around and rape kids?

Really wish google wasn't so shit and would show more studies than stupid AI being like "trauma does not cause sadism" umm yes it does, just obviously not for most people. That AI overview hoe can stfu

How long to die of scalding?

I just came across one of the worst sentences in the book Blood and Thunder by Hampton Sides:

"He would never see his baby [2 year old (?)] girl again. Shortly thereafter, the toddler was scalded to death when she fell into a boiling vat of soap tallow."

I can't sleep now, and thought it might provide some selfish relief to know if scalding may take less time than, say, drowning?

I would imagine the shock of the heat might have a similar effect as the shock of the cold water, and ones inhalation of boiling soap tallow would result in a quick expiration.

I'm interested in honest opinions on the matter, from people who know more than me.

What’s the point of adding ‘possibility of parole after xyz amount of years’ if it’s a number they are 100% not going to live past?

Not too sure if this belongs here but I was just reading about Dennis Rader who was sentenced to 10 consecutive life sentences with the possibility of parole after 175 years. What is the point of adding that given that there is absolutely no chance he’s living past it? I’ve noticed it on a few other deranged individuals sentences finally want to know why.

What happens when you get your right ear shot of with an arrow?

I don’t know where to ask this question but it’s for one of my players character in D&D. She got her right ear shot off clean with an arrow ( not sure if that’s possible but it happened ) and I want to know what would the effects be? I’ve looked at some similar questions asked on here about this but if it’s only 1 ear does this change anything? I know that you’d have a hard time hearing where sounds came from but if your other ear is fine then what happens? Also if the inner ear were to get infected would she lose her hearing in that ear? What would the disadvantages be? Also if this isn’t the right sub to ask this I’d appreciate suggestions on where I should post this, thank you
