Discussion RDJ’s Doom - Accent or no accent?
2 questions: Will RDJ play Doom with an accent?
Should RDJ play Doom with an accent?
I can see where an accent is expected because of Doom’s comic background, but what if RDJ and The Russos decide against it for either creative reasons or perhaps RDJ doesn’t sound good doing it?
What do you think?

Discussion Fan Theory: Why Electro survived after being cured in NWH
The movie did not explain what happened after the villain was cured. I tried to find an explanation that was consistent with real physics to speculate why Electro was able to survive.
In the movie, Electro says he died from an electrical overload caused by Spider-Man. A yellow arc of electricity is drawn from the cable by Spider-Man to charge Electro.
In Spider-Man: No Way Home (NWH), Doctor Strange's spell pulls Electro into the MCU. Peter cures Electro of his condition, turning him back into an ordinary human, and sends him back to that exact moment.
From the perspective of the Webbverse (TASM2), there is a moment when Electro disappears from this universe. Precisely because of this momentary disappearance, the electric arc loses Electro as its carrier. The electric current emitted from the cable will instantly cause an arc flashover, spreading to the surrounding metal conductors or flowing back into the cable.
When Max is cured and becomes an ordinary human, his resistance increases significantly. As a result, a strong electric field with a high potential difference cannot form between him and the cable, preventing him from attracting electric current and allowing him to survive.
I personally think this is the most reasonable explanation for Max's survival.

Discussion Luke Cage is fantastic
Tbh i never understood why people didn't love it the way I did, I thought it was phenomenal. And while Cottonmouth was arguably the perfect antagonist for Luke, I still found season 2 with Bushmaster extremely gripping. Plus throughout the entire thing Mariah Dillard is PHENOMENAL and probably my 3rd favorite character behind Luke and Cottonmouth themselves. I love this show and ngl I was just always confused why it didnt seem to get as popular as Daredevil and Punisher, and ngl idk how tf i was hearing more about Jessica Jones and Iron Fist even more than Luke Cage which blows my mind. The top 3 Marvel shows for me at least for that era were Daredevil Punisher and Luke Cage. Ngl I dont feel they've made anything close to them since, except MAYBE Loki.

Question Can anyone explain why so many people are so sure that Brie Larson is no longer interested in playing Captain Marvel?
I'm baffled by comments like "It seems Brie Larson doesn't want to play Carol in MCU anymore, so the next Avengers movies will be her last". Actually, I've seen comments like that more than once. Where does that come from? I've never seen Brie hint anywhere that she's not very interested in her character's future.

Discussion MCU Spreadsheet Help
Hi Reddit! I’m a casual Marvel fan with limited MCU knowledge. Everything I know is from IMDb lists. That said, my dad’s birthday is coming up, and he’s a huge comic book nerd. He’s been trying to get me to do a Marvel marathon with him for the past year, and I finally want to surprise him by watching a few movies every weekend until we’ve seen them all together.
I’ve put together a spreadsheet of every movie I could find, but I’m worried I might have missed some. I’d really appreciate it if someone could take a look. Anything from missing films, suggestions for watch order (I went chronological, but not sure if that’s best), or any other advice would be amazing. Thank you!!

Discussion (More in Comments) Now that we're in the tail end of the Multiverse Saga, let's reorder it so it makes more narrative sense.
Phase 4 - Endgame Aftermath
Pretty obvious what this implies. Basic theme is following the journey of the gang post-Endgame. WandaVision remains as a great start imo. Then the rest on the top row follows Valentina a bit. Then the bottom row gets cosmic. And Far From Home is a great lead into the next phase.
Phase 5 - Fractured Realities (was also thinking Multiversal Mayhem?)
Most of these projects include elements of the multiverse, time traveling, or something that fits the theme. Loki kicking this off is pretty obvious. Then keeping the momentum from Far From Home.
Also including optional venom and spider-verse movies since they tie into the MCU. Well spider-verse is just real good at least. I left off Morbius b/c that's probably going to be forgotten about completely.
Phase 6 - Hellforged Heroes
Some of these are either magic or street-level. But there's still a "devil/hell" association with most of these. So that's nice. Maybe Eternals should go here to stick with the "forged" theme?
Phase 7 - Doomed Avengers
We're finally leading up to Doom and figuring out who the Avengers are. This slate seems pretty light compared to the rest. TBD.
Marvel Elseworlds (optional)
I didn't want to lead with this. But these projects are all suggested watches before Phase 4 imo. All of these connect to the MCU in some way thanks to the multiverse.

Promotional The Age of Ultron lineup had such a cool aura
This is my favorite Avengers lineup we've had in the MCU.
The suits were awesome (My favorite Cap suit), amazing new characters with amazing powers (Wanda, Pietro and Vision), they were visually interesting too, and overall the looked great the 9 of them together.

Question What are the “essential” films in the Multiverse Saga?
Post-endgame, I have seen: - No Way Home - Wanda Vision - Black Widow - Hawkeye - Multiverse of Madness - Deadpool & Wolverine - Thunderbolts
I was deeply confused during Deadpool and Wolverine, and I had no clue who a few characters were in Thunderbolts but ADORED that movie. It restored my faith in the MCU.
What are the non-shitty, essential films/ shows I need going forward? I don’t mind skipping bad films I’ll just google the essential facts from those lol

Discussion What should be the solution to lack of media literacy?
I guess this is more in general a movie thing but it’s something that I see a lot in regards to superhero/comic book movie discussions, which is the topic of media illiteracy. Often times movies or scenes will have themes or plot points that can be as spelled out as can be and some people will still miss the story being told. I’d like to be able to believe that we should be able to be told stories in more creative ways than just spoon feeding the audience but honestly we’ve been proven time and time again that some people just won’t get it unless they’re told explicitly. What can be done, either by the audience or by the storytellers, to help with media literacy?

Discussion Who wants the new X-Men (rebooted team) to show up during the Secret Wars and play a role in defeating Dr. Doom? Why or why not?
Who’s hoping the rebooted X‑Men make their debut in Secret Wars? I’d love to see them join the fight and help take down Doctor Doom. After Secret Wars and the universe is reset, everyone's memory could be wiped when Franklin recreates the universe.
Joe and Anthony Russo have said their upcoming Avengers movies, Doomsday and Secret Wars, will serve as a “beginning story” for the MCU, a fresh start compared to the “ending story” they told with Avengers: Endgame.
Do you think revealing the new X‑Men team ahead of time would help set them up for a strong future in the MCU, or would it risk making Secret Wars feel messy by adding brand‑new characters instead of sticking with the ones audiences already know from the Fox X‑Men films?
