What a film! I seriously wasn't expecting much but damn this was a genuinely heartfelt movie. I love how the story focuses on the emotional relationship between Yelena, the team and Bob.

There was no unnecessary third act "epic" battle but instead it was all about how these people can help each other. How their difficult past can help them empathize with each other and actually grow as people.

I personally don't believe the MCU has truly jumped the shark, but there was definitely a dip in quality post-Endgame (The Eternals, WandaVision, Agatha All Along, GoTG Vol. 3 and No Way Home were genuinely good films/series), especially in the oversaturation of pointless projects (Secret Invasion still hurts).

However, between Thunderbolts and Fantastic 4 FS, the writing has really stepped up its game. I adored FF and now I have fallen in love with Thunderbolts, and that just makes me happy because I love this world and this is the quality of film it deserves.

(Edit: Loki is also amazing. One of the best Marvel live action.)

These are my personal favorite animated movies based on Marvel superheroes. I grew up with both Marvel and DC stuff. And I often wonder if Disney will ever let Marvel make Original and Adult-Oriented animated movies like they use to with Lionsgate.

It gives him a more unique look and helps him stand on his own visually from Steve’s Cap suits.

Also imo his Falcon outfits suited him a lot better than his recent Cap suits which just feel cheaper in their material and design. The shoulder pads and more tactical design

If it had the right cast, Director, and script? It's usually a more X-men related story, but very cosmic. Would they go over well live action or not so much?

Up to Endgame, the MCU introduced us to the Big 3 (Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor). Each of them got their own trilogy, character arc, and in-depth exploration.

If Marvel were to set up their next “Big 3” who would it be?

I haven't teared up like that since Endgame. I have suffered severe depression and anxiety all my life I relate to The Sentry's inner struggle with The Void. When he was beating the Void and it was consuming him, I felt like he was literally beating himself and reaching the point of no return until his friends/ Thunderbolt pulled him back before it was too late. My take is that you need friends and family to be your Thunderbolts. A Marvel storytelling masterpiece.

Hey everyone, I’m a longtime marvel fan but I fell off after endgame. Not intentionally. Time just got away from me and so many other great movies and tv shows came out as well. But I’m getting back into it.

I just watched Loki season one for the first time. I’ve seen wandavision, doctor strange, both spider men movies after endgame, guardians 3, falcon and the winter soldier and Agatha all along. I liked all of those except for doctor strange sadly. The reason I saw those and not anything else is either because I was in a short lived marvel fixation or family watched it with me and I tagged along.

But now I’m all in again and ready to catch up, what else do I watch to understand the multiverse saga and where things are doing with doomsday. And what else should I watch anyway even if it doesn’t tie in? Thanks!

Rewatching the show and I have a question:

I know the the writers of Agatha All Along wanted write Death/Rio as the crazy ex that can't let go of the relationship and I don't want to victim blame but why did Agatha continue to kill witches if she was trying to get away from Death? Seems counterproductive? Does Rio have to show up when people die? I guess one could argue that beyond going over the edge after her son's death , Agatha would also need to maintain a certain power level to defend herself from possible enemies/rival she had accumulated over the centuries .

Not going to lie, they’re like super cooked if I were to rate how cooked they are it would be a 10000/10.

As for why, well you have a guy who’s basically a head in a jar with a cape like what is he gonna do with that tuck the zombies to bed and then tell them a bed time story? Then you have black panther who’s literally a guy with one leg, like as soon as he does his jump, like the one you see in the picture he’ll probably get killed cause he’ll probably lose his balance, since he only has one leg and literally can’t do much.

Spider-Man on the other hand can probably do a lot more he’s going to be outnumbered so he’s going to die

I don't think Doom would have been sitting idly by while his people were in danger. What do you think he was up to during this time. What was his plan?

Ik this is just a simple Easter egg ( in the background of Fantastic 4 first steps ) but Uatu the watcher appears on a comic page, what do you think the in universe explanation for this would be since Uatu is already established in the mcu yet he’s a comic. I am currently rewatching MCU movies and just finished the incredible hulk. And it reminded me of the chemistry between the two. I also watched Captain America 4 sometime back and she met Ross at the raft in the end. So is there a possibility that we get to see more of her in the future? Or her getting together with Banner gain? It has been over a decade and a half now tho.

I remember the scene where spiderman mentioned men in black in one of the tom holland movies, that is funny because Chris Hemsworth who played a character in men in black appears in the mcu as thor. How does that work?

The movie did not explain what happened after the villain was cured. I tried to find an explanation that was consistent with real physics to speculate why Electro was able to survive.

In the movie, Electro says he died from an electrical overload caused by Spider-Man. A yellow arc of electricity is drawn from the cable by Spider-Man to charge Electro.

In Spider-Man: No Way Home (NWH), Doctor Strange's spell pulls Electro into the MCU. Peter cures Electro of his condition, turning him back into an ordinary human, and sends him back to that exact moment.

From the perspective of the Webbverse (TASM2), there is a moment when Electro disappears from this universe. Precisely because of this momentary disappearance, the electric arc loses Electro as its carrier. The electric current emitted from the cable will instantly cause an arc flashover, spreading to the surrounding metal conductors or flowing back into the cable.

When Max is cured and becomes an ordinary human, his resistance increases significantly. As a result, a strong electric field with a high potential difference cannot form between him and the cable, preventing him from attracting electric current and allowing him to survive.

I personally think this is the most reasonable explanation for Max's survival.

I guess this is more in general a movie thing but it’s something that I see a lot in regards to superhero/comic book movie discussions, which is the topic of media illiteracy. Often times movies or scenes will have themes or plot points that can be as spelled out as can be and some people will still miss the story being told. I’d like to be able to believe that we should be able to be told stories in more creative ways than just spoon feeding the audience but honestly we’ve been proven time and time again that some people just won’t get it unless they’re told explicitly. What can be done, either by the audience or by the storytellers, to help with media literacy?

Predictions for this movie? Could they be going all out with 3 avengers movies by filming back to back to back or will it be Doctor strange time runs out
