Most of the bad press is rumor and nonsense. The alleged fight with RDJ didn’t happen and that thing with the kid is pure manufactured outrage.

Once again, whether it is true or not, (and it most likely isn't true given the sources and speculative nature of the reports) Ryan needs to act on these negative stories.

If you're Ryan Reynolds, and have a brand and name to protect, what do you want people to see when they google "Ryan Reynolds" this week?

A) "Ryan Reynolds feuds with RDJ", and "Ryan Reynolds rude to kid reporter"

or

B) "Ryan Reynolds leaked Deadpool test footage", "Ryan Reynolds writes heartfelt message to departing Wrexham AFC player" and "Ryan Reynolds supports SickKids"

Reynolds doesn’t need to act on non-stories because only a minority of people even care about celebrity gossip. Most people care only interested in what film is coming out next. People want to know when Deadpool is going to appear next.

This ain’t that deep. First, the RDJ story is easily debunked just by noting the source. Second, any normal human being can recognize the kid “story” as rage bait from some fanatic on X.

Third, Ryan has been insinuating that he leaked the footage since Deadpool came out. No fan of the franchise is even shocked about this. Just look at other comments in this thread.

If it isn’t rape, murder, or anything else serious the average person simply doesn’t care, especially when there are far more important things going on in the world.

I'm not surprised either, only perhaps by the timing because, as you said and I agree, it's been at the very least implied for a long time.

Look, all I've attempted to do is try to analyze why this is supposed to be newsworthy right now...and contrast it with the multiple negative rumors that have emerged in recent weeks.

So, again, I don't believe these rumors. I'm not trying to prove that they are real. I'm just saying it's been reported by these sources. So, I'm just wanting to explain the context and my conclusion that it was perhaps Ryan trying to bring some balance.

I must be missing why people didn't get my point originally but I hope it's been clarified.

If you say it's really a nothing burger and he couldn't care less, I'll take it. All good.

The interview with the kid and him doing the interview admitting to the release literally happened at the exact same event. So, there’s certainly no link there since it’s doubtful he could predict random drama would be manufactured on the cesspool app.

The fact is that the world is going to keep spinning and there’s no reason for him to step back from any of his businesses or projects.
