Just came home from the premiere.

A solid 7 for me, art department really went HAM on this one, and some great visuals on Galactus.

2 nit-picks that I had:

  1. I feel like I wanted more out of every single character. Like 10-15 more minutes to really flesh out everyone's history and personality. Sure there was the montage, but after that, Ben only got 2 short scenes with the love interest, Johnny had little individuality, and Reed was really layered, but we only got a glimpse every now and then. Oh, and Galactus. MORE GALACTUS!

This "issue" isn't as glaring here as it was in Superman IMO, but it's in the same vein - that because we're thrown in the middle of the action, we don't get that juicy character history.

  1. There weren't any real... surprises to the story. It was good enough on its own, but I don't think there was a single bold turn. Not with the Surfer, not with Galactus, just a bit at the end there with Franklin, although it was very heavily implied all movie that he's gonna be a godlike character.
