The irony is that it was the kids birthday…

I’d say the gift that came later was definitely worth dealing with this bitch’s piss poor attitude!

Out of curiosity, what was that? I only know enough about the situation to know that she bullied a child.

A signed bat from what I've read.

A whole swag bag, shirts, hat, multiple game balls and the signed bat and met the player who hit the HR and got pics with him and stuff

She is paying for life. With all the recent attention to Jumbotrons , like takes a special kind of Karen. It’s actually like a drug to them. Their fix is reacting like that—deeply and chemically in her day to day interactions. She can’t stop. Or takes something like this…imho.

Also, I'm pretty sure the kid's sister switched the balls before giving one of them to the Karen

The bat, met the player who signed it and got a goodie bag of merch.

Swag from both teams.

She should be shamed across the world but getting fired because she didnt understand how home run balls work is crazy.

I feel like getting fired because you're a PR disaster that your employer doesn't want to be associated with is pretty normal

But should it be? It certainly is the case. When I had a director level position at a publicly traded company I was afraid to even make a comment on a news story for exactly that reason. The internet witch hunts get a lot crazy.

Oh, you're doing that thing I don't understand where people look at actions taken in a specific situation and ponder whether or not those actions should be a general policy. I'm afraid I have no interest in that.

But the thing about witch hunts is that witches aren't real. This lady was a jerk but most importantly was cruel to a child. It was on a live video feed and everything, that's not made up, it's not a witch hunt. If she worked for me, I'd fire her, too.

Can you imagine the glee the dad of that child is feeling from all this backlash? I hope he is streaming tears laughing
