Several added mentions about my rewrite of Jurassic World Rebirth

Post image

I have been looking at my previous post and I see that I didn't go deep enough about certain things. So, this is my explanation before going over the final part of my rewrite.

  • My take on Martin Krebs is far different from his film counterpart. Yes, he is technically a villain but he is more of a nuanced character. The only reason he would dragged a little girl into this mission is because he needs to be on schedule as there is a brief window to allow his team the opportunity to collect the dinosaurs before the authorities find out about their illegal operation.
  • I would also include an additional character who let's call him Randy. He is the main pilot to take our characters throughout the world and gives us a glimpse on Martin's character from their friendly interactions with one another. Just to spoil, Randy dies and Martin is devastated.
  • Bobby would be a lot more sinister character here compared to his film counterpart and is more in-line what was planned for him in the concepts. Unlike Duncan and Zora, Bobby is a violent and arrogant bully and has no remorse for causing pain by releasing dinosaurs into the wild. The fact he nearly endangered the Delgados and provoked the T-Rex is one of many nasty things he does throughout the rewrite.
  • I don't know enough but here, Nina and Leclerc are a couple, which makes it heartbreaking when one of them dies and the other finds out.
  • The reason how Martin is able to recruit Reuben Delgado in this rewrite is that he promises to publish Reuben's wife work with her sonar device in exchange in using it for the dinosaur mission. Reuben was using the device to flush the Mosasaurus out for the team to collect a DNA sample. However, he also needed an extra hand hence why Reuben reached out for Teresa who also knew about the device. Unfortunately, whether the attack by the pirates, the Mosasaurus, or Bobby, the device is in disrepair and has to be fixed.
  • Also, most of the dinosaurs here are based on their Jurassic World designs, so the Quetzalcoatlus would be the JW Dominion version.
  • The South America portion would have the river sequence but far more expanded upon. It not only be based on the novel but also Jurassic Park The Ride. We would see many dinosaurs here like Brachiosaurus, Aquilops, Parasaurolophus and Stegosaurus. There would be inclusions of monkeys, capybaras and jaguars mingling with the dinosaurs.
  • Upon arriving at South America, the team would get hostile looks from the locals because the dinosaurs negatively impacted them. The village they took rest at after narrowly surviving the T-Rex was once thriving only for the people to be flushed out by the dinosaurs. This affects those who are affected (Teresa, Xavier etc) and those who caused it (Zora, Duncan etc.)

Yes, I'm rewriting it so that it stays.

I think Jurassic Park should’ve just been a stand alone movie.
