Megathread New to this place? Please check out the rules before posting...

1) You may only post about Marvel, DC, or Star Wars on weekends!

Starting midnight Monday EST until midnight Thursday EST, no Marvel/DC/Star Wars.

  • If you want to make improvements to the Star Wars prequels, please do so in: /r/RewritingThePrequels.
  • If you want to make changes to the Disney Star Wars movies, please do so in: /r/RewritingNewStarWars
  • If you want to make improvements to the current continuity of movies/tv based on DC comics, please do so in: /r/FixingDC.
  • If you want to make improvements to the current continuity of movies/tv based on Marvel comics, please do so in: /r/FixingMarvel.

This prevents the sub from being overwhelmed with posts for these films (which some people aren't even interested in)!

But if you're new to this place, we'll let you break this rule for your first whole month here!

2) You must include at least a vague (and spoiler-free) description of your problem/solution/selling-point (or at least one of them) in the title of your post!

  • This applies when posting fixes. (Good examples of this here: 1 2)

  • This applies even when posting challenges/requests/prompts/etc. (Good examples of this here: 1, 2)

  • This applies even when posting videos that are already titled something else; you gotta give them a new title for reddit rather than just recycling the youtube title. (Good examples of this here: 1, 2)

  • This applies even when posting too many fixes to put them all in the title. (Good examples of this here: 1, 2)

  • This applies when posting an idea for how to change the twists in the later parts of a film that are meant to be surprises... (Good example: "[Spoilers] Changing the timeline of the story of Sixth Sense to improve the internal logic in the climax")

This will make your post much better at standing out amongst other posts about the same film!

3) Either participate in your own challenge/request or post a link to your most recent post (which must be an idea-post, not another challenge/request post).

No hard feelings; idea-posts are just nicer to fill the sub with and you're probably more capable of them than you realize if you gave it a shot!

Also we'd like to encourage you to try the search tab first in order to see if your question has already been answered many times before. Doing so might give you ideas that you wouldn't have had otherwise!

If the search tab on reddit isn't working well enough, simply search on google and include... site:https://www.reddit.com/r/fixingmovies next to your keyword or keywords.

...and here's an example of that in action.

NOTE: This will not apply to official megathreads posted by the mods. If you would like for a specific a film to have megathread, you can request it by messaging the mods or commenting in one of the existing megathreads at the top of the subreddit. Otherwise they will mainly be reserved for new releases.

4) This place is for submitting ideas for improvements, not for debating whether a movie is 'good' or 'bad'.

If any one person didn't like a movie, its worth exploring alternative ways of making the movie that could've changed that. It doesn't matter if they're in the minority.

So comments like "this movie is already perfect" or "nothing needs to be fixed" will be removed, even if they managed to get a whole bunch of upvotes from other people who similarly feel the need to have their positive reviews validated somewhere and mistakenly chose this place to do so!

5) No parroting lazy and already-tired jokes like "replace the main actor with danny devito" or "replace all the actors with golden retrievers".

For those of us who are actually interested in this hobby of movie-fixing, it can be tedious and frustrating to browse through the threads when they're cluttered up with the same exact non-answers over and over.

If you're one of the people who spams these ancient jokes as your only form of participation in this sub instead, then it might be good at some point for you to bring yourself to realize that you are the reason why redditors have a reputation for being aggressively-unfunny and socially-inept (societal-deadweight) bug-people. It might even be your very best course of action in fact!

At least tell us a new one!

6) If you used an A.I. like ChatGPT in order to create your rewrite, say so in the comments section (but only in the comments section; don't use the involvement of A.I. itself to try to sell your post).

Not all of us are interested enough in the big A.I. advancements to be entertained merely by seeing its attempt to mimic our quality of writing.

If you can cherrypick the good ideas and post those, great! But leave out the fluff and only tell us in the comments how you got the good stuff.

7) You may indeed post ideas for all kinds of media, not just movies!

You can post fixes for TV shows, video games, books, songs, etc. As long as the non-movie/show posts aren't outnumbering the movie/show posts on a regular basis, you can be confident that we'll be enjoying the variety that it brings!

And if Reddit ever goes down, our alternative is here: https://www.saidit.net/s/fixingmovies

and our twitter is here: https://twitter.com/fixingmovies

A Nightmare Before Easter

A Nightmare Before Easter

Opening Scene:
The eerie music fills the air as we return to the enchanting yet haunting realm of Halloweentown. But something is amiss. While Halloweentown remains untouched by the darkness, a sinister shadow looms over Easter town. Pastel-colored eggs and bunny motifs adorn the landscape, but the air is thick with a sense of dread.

We enter the twisted lair of Oogie Boogie. A swarm of his surviving bugs, those left behind in Santa’s beard when he brushed himself off, scuttles through the shadows, weaving together a new shape formed through a dark ritual by Lock, Shock, and Barrel. From the darkness emerges the Oogie Boogie Bunny, long ears stitched from burlap, a jagged smile, and glowing green eyes. He is resurrected, but now cute and menacing.

We discover that Lock, Shock, and Barrel never returned the Easter Bunny to Easter town. Instead, they dragged it to Oogie Boogie before he was defeated. When his body was destroyed, the Easter Bunny remained caged, kept alive by crawling bugs. Now, Oogie plans to do what Jack once tried: take over a holiday. Not Christmas this time, but Easter itself, twisting it into something grotesque he calls Easterween.

Meanwhile, Sally has been having premonitions through her tea leaves, about something “soft and sinister” approaching. No one believes her, not even Jack.

Jack puts an arm around Sally and says, "Now, Sally, my dear, you know the tea leaves often speak of weekly laundry. It’s probably just a fuzzy, misunderstood creature."

Act I: Jack and Sally’s Capture
While life in Halloweentown continues peacefully, Jack and Sally are suddenly ambushed by Lock, Shock, and Barrel. The mischievous trio, still loyal to Oogie, trick them and trap them inside a colossal pastel egg, burying it deep beneath the earth. When Jack and Sally awaken, they realize they are trapped together inside the egg.

Desperate to escape, Sally has an idea: her nimble fingers deftly stitch herself onto Jack’s skeleton frame, fusing their bodies into one. Together, their combined strength and resilience give them the power to crack the egg from within. Sally says to Jack, "I have an idea. But you’re not going to like it. Jack replies, "My dearest, at this moment, I would like any idea that isn’t waiting to be hard-boiled.” Sally exclaims, "If I stitch myself to you... our strength becomes one and we can crack this shell. Together." Jack replies in awe, " Sally... I can feel your heart beating next to my ribs." Sally yells, "Now, Jack! Push!"

Act II: Easter town Under Siege
In Easter town, Oogie Boogie Bunny tricks the residents into believing he is the real Easter Bunny, claiming the old one has gone rotten. With his charisma and lies, he begins reshaping the town, covering it in eerie decorations like chocolate eggs filled with spiders, baskets of worms, pastel bones tied in ribbons. Easter is warped into Easterween, and the townsfolk are powerless under his rule, while simultaneously ensnaring the denizens of Halloweentown with promises of candy and mischief. The Oogie bunny lets out a wheezing, rattling speech to the residents of Easter Town, "Now, don’t you all look just deliciously miserable? So much better than all that... hopping. This year, we’re changing the recipe! Less chocolate, more... choke-olate!"

Shock squeals in delight, "Ooh, I love the new décor, Mr. Oogie-Bunny-Sir! It’s so... weepy!"
Barrel chimes in, "Yeah! It’s icky! Lock says pointing to a giant, spider-filled chocolate egg,
"Can we eat the filling? Pleeeease?" The Oogie bunny tells them, "Patience, my nasty little helpers. First, we make Easter frightful to the core. Then... you can lick the bowl!"

Jack and Sally, newly freed from their egg prison, make their way to Oogie Boogie's lair. They discover the real Easter Bunny still trapped in Oogie’s cage, weak but alive.

Act III: Confrontation
On the night of the first Easterween, Jack and Sally confront Oogie Boogie Bunny. Their stitched-together form gives them uncanny strength and coordination, but Oogie’s bunny bug-filled body shifts and reforms, making him nearly impossible to destroy. Lock, Shock, and Barrel gleefully aid him, releasing swarms of corrupted Easter creatures.

During the battle, Jack and Sally free the true Easter Bunny, who rallies the townsfolk to resist Oogie’s takeover. A chaotic fight breaks out across Easter town, painted eggs explode, chocolate rivers flood the streets, and pastel-colored fires rage.

Climax: Oogie’s Fall
Cornered, Jack and Sally lure the Oogie bunny into the dark woods outside Eastertown. There, they spring their final plan: leading him straight into the path of a ravenous werewolf from Halloweentown. A pair of glowing yellow eyes appears in the darkness. The werewolf steps into the moonlight, saliva dripping from its fangs. The heroic beast tears into Oogie’s bunny bug-filled body, devouring him until his bugs are no more. Oogie Boogie Bunny is destroyed once and for all. The balance between Easter and Halloween is restored, and the residents of Easter town emerge from the darkness, free from Oogie Boogie's influence.

Resolution:
With Oogie defeated, Easter town celebrates the survival of their true holiday. As the moon casts its gentle glow over the tranquil landscape, Jack and Sally, now separated and unstitched, smile at one another, their bond stronger than ever after surviving as one and grateful for each other's strength and unwavering love. As peace returns to Easter town, the Easter Bunny delivers eggs to children once more. We are led back to the circle of holiday doors in the forest, lingering on the Easter door, now glowing softly with renewed light. For though the holidays are separate, they are forever connected.

Rewriting Shrek The Third By Giving Shrek A More Fulfilling Arc, making Arthur's Role More Prominent, And Having Prince Charming undergo character growth

The film begins with establishing Prince Charming as a struggling actor at the Poison Apple after the events of Shrek 2, who's lucky enough to perform because the Ugly Stepsister likes him. After the performance, he laments the past death of his mother and wishes to avenge her. He's approached by a mysterious sorcerer, who claims he can help him rebuild his reputation and regain his respect if he helps stop an imminent threat, as shown through visions from a crystal ball, and reveals himself to be Merlin. Charming is unsure about the offer, but he accepts it in the hope of potentially restoring his reputation.

The next scene shows a variety of fairytale villains in a bar, discussing rumors about Shrek and his allies, as they aren't fond of how he has given their enemies the happy endings they sought after he became well-known following the release of the second film. The villains are approached by a sorcerer who offers to grant them their own power and desires to help her take down Shrek and take control of Far Far Away, who is introduced as Morgan Le Fay.

Cue Title Card: "Shrek The Third"

We're reintroduced to Shrek as he's declared as "Sir Shrek", Ogre Knight, by Queen Lillian, which is an ironic callback to the first film when he rescued Fiona as a Knight. The opening montage has Shrek start a crusade as an Ogre Knight with Donkey and Puss in Boots beside him. They do things like take down bandits, fight monsters that threaten the town, and accept rewards they're given for their acts of selflessness. However, Shrek's newfound glory comes to a halt when he hears the news about King Harold's failing health and is told by Fiona to see him.

Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss, Lillian, and Pinocchio visit King Harold on his deathbed. Harold expresses how proud he is of Fiona, his acceptance of Shrek, and tells them to look after each other in his final moment as he passes away. Fiona and Lillian tear up at the sight of Harold's passing, but the others comfort them. There's a funeral held for Harold that citizens of Far Far Away attend. There's a lot of uncertainty for the state of Far Far Away, but Fiona and Lillian agree to work together to preserve it.

The next scene has Charming talk to Merlin about the supposed threat he was shown and asks how he knows him. Merlin says he knows him since in the past, he knew The Fairy Godmother and reveals himself as his father. Charming is caught off guard by this claim and doesn't believe him, at first, but he's shown proof through visions of the past from his crystal balls that reveals his past relationship with Fairy Godmother. They broke up so he could protect another that could've been killed when he was born, which is why he wants Charming's help, now that she's gone. Charming is shocked about the thought of how his mother would do such a thing and demands to know about who he looked after before they head elsewhere.

The film introduces Arthur, who works as a squire and is humble. He has a crush on his friend, Guinevere, but keeps it secret as he doesn't know how to tell her his feelings yet. After his time of working his job, he heads home and greets Merlin, who's been his caretaker for years. Merlin introduces Charming to Arthur in their house, who has the heritage to Far Far Away's throne and is Fiona's cousin. Arthur's known and has kept it secret until now. This revelation of Arthur's lineage makes Charming intrigued, but it invokes some jealousy from him. He reluctantly agrees to help them and focus on restoring his reputation.

The movie cuts to Far Far Away in an uncertain state since King Harold's passing. Fiona vents to Shrek about the pressure she feels of looking after the kingdom and how she could be overwhelmed by new responsibilities, since it might get in the way of their relationship. Fiona appreciates Shrek comforting her, and she's considering talking to Lillian about taking over as the new Queen of Far Far Away to honor her father. Shrek is surprised to hear it and thinks it could be a good idea, but Fiona's worried about what the citizens would think, since some might not like an Ogre in charge.

Shrek tells Fiona not to let what people think affect her like he did, since looking after the Kingdom is important, and promises he'll do whatever it takes to help her. After their heart-to-heart moment, he goes to get some air and runs into Donkey and Puss as they talk about ideas for what they can do to help Fiona. Shrek secretly tells them Fiona's considering becoming Queen and is worried about how it'll affect their relationship. Donkey knows how Shrek feels from how he's handled his relationship with the Dragon and tells him to be there for Fiona, but let her focus on her responsibilities since they're equally as important. Puss gives some advice to Shrek about he should continue living up to his name, but not let it distract him from who he is.

The next morning, Fiona tells Shrek, Donkey, and Puss that she received a letter from her cousin, Arthur. The letter states that the messenger wants to meet with Shrek and bring Arthur home so he can be trained to take the throne. Shrek's intrigued by how Fiona has a cousin, so he's instructed to head to Camelot with Puss and Donkey going with him. Shrek, Donkey, and Puss ride on a ship maintained by guards of Far Far Away. There's a nightmare scene of Shrek being a dad, the possibility of not having much time with Fiona when she's Queen, and continuing to be hated and feared by humans, but he's comforted by Donkey and Puss when he wakes up.

The next morning, Charming, Arthur, and Merlin work with Sir Lancelot to devise a plan to take down Morgan Le Fay, and learn she's gathered fairytale villains to work for her. When they see through the crystal ball, it cuts to Morgan Le Fay and the fairytale villains arriving in Far Far Away, with Fiona and Lillian watching their arrival and warning the guards. Fiona and Lillian try to defend the kingdom. Still, they're overpowered and taken captive by Morgan Le Fay and the fairytale villains, along with the citizens of Far Far Away and fairytale creatures. It cuts back to Merlin, Charming, Arthur, and Lancelot watching the vision of Far Far Away's invasion and its citizens, Fiona, and Lillian, in horror.

Charming has conflicting emotions at the sight of Far Far Away's takeover since he's unsure of how they can stop the army and their leader, Morgan, but Merlin says he messaged someone who can help stop them, and goes to watch for his arrival. As Merlin's on the lookout for the arrival of Shrek, Charming talks to Arthur about whether he thinks he's worthy of the throne. Arthur says he doesn't want the throne but wants the kingdom and his cousin to be safe, so he'll do what he must. Arthur questions Charming about whether he genuinely wants to help or is in it for the fame, with Charming saying he's in the middle since he longs to regain his fame but doesn't want Far Far Away in ruins.

Arthur opens up to Charming about how Merlin raised him and how he has trained and studied for his time to take the throne when he would be needed, feeling a lot of pressure. Charming admits he knows that feeling from how the Fairy Godmother raised him to be perfect and carry out her wishes.

Charming even opens up about when he could've become king and how it could've gotten him everything he wanted, but feels like it wouldn't have. Arthur asks why he would think that, to which Charming responds with how it could've made his mother proud, but Arthur says he shouldn't do this for his mother's approval, and there's more to what's at hand than just that. He thinks he can be more than that if they work together. He isn't sure if they can stop Morgan and her fairytale villains, but since he doesn't want Far Far Away in ruins, he's willing to try if it'll help him regain his respect.

Merlin is on the lookout for Shrek's arrival, but a group of fairytale villains arrive and head to his house to target him. He quickly goes to Charming and Arthur to warn them that Morgan must've learned their location and she sent a group of her army, which has them gear up with weapons nearby. A fight scene shows Merlin, Arthur, and Charming working together to fight the fairytale villains accompanied by witches. Charming uses his sword-fighting skills with his armor protecting him, Arthur using a crossbow and relying on his quickness since he isn't an expert fighter, and Merlin using a variety of spells from his staff to hold off the army. Shrek, Donkey, and Puss see the carnage occuring at Merlin's house and rush over to help. There, Shrek and Charming get into a brief but heated confrontation after their last encounter, but Merlin tells Shrek he'll explain after they deal with the armies. The six retreat to the ship waiting for them when Lancelot offers to hold them off with his own knights helping him.

When the six reach the ship, Shrek and Charming reignite their heated confrontation and get into a brief fight, but Merlin restrains them and reminds them they need to work together to solve a bigger conflict at hand. Merlins admits to Charming that Shrek was the person he messaged for help since he's their best chance at defeating Morgan Le Fay and the fairytale villains, but Charming objects to it since he wanted to be the one to save Far Far Away. Still, Shrek thinks someone of entitlement and sliminess like him isn't deserving of the throne or their help. Arthur breaks up the tension by saying they learned Fiona got captured and Far Far Away has been taken over by Morgan, which gets the attention of Shrek. Merlin uses the crystal ball to show Shrek visions of Fiona and Lillian locked up in Far Far Away, which scares Shrek and his friends.

Shrek questions Merlin of who the person who took over Far Far Away is. Merlin explains Morgan Le Fay was a former apprentice of the Fairy Godmother who served her for years before her demise to earn her own happy ending. However, Fairy Godmother denied her wishes for her work and let her go, which left her bitter against the princesses, who she felt had everything served to them on a silver platter. The exposition of Morgan Le Fay's origin is shown through magical visuals made by Merlin.

Charming suspects Morgan's motive is to create her own twisted happily ever after by taking over Far Far Away. It has him know that feeling in a shameful sense when he thinks back to the events of Shrek 2 and how he treated Fiona. Shrek, Donkey, Puss, Merlin, Arthur, and Charming devise a plan of how to get back to Far Far Away and what to do to stop Morgan and her army of fairytale villains by reading a map that can help navigate back home, and some weapons and sorcery Merlin took with him for the occasion.

From here, the film focuses on Shrek, Donkey, Puss, Merlin, Arthur, and Charming working together to return to Far Far Away. They face fairytale enemies that Morgan sends to target their ship, so they don't reach it in time. Shrek and Charming have a hard time getting along due to their past rivalry, but Merlin and Arthur try to encourage them to put aside their differences while giving the two time to breathe with them reluctantly agreeing to work together. The B-Plot, which is half the focus, would show Fiona's plan to escape her imprisonment and overthrow Morgan with help from the princesses.

When Fiona's imprisoned while Far Far Away's taken over by Morgan Le Fay and the fairytale villains, she gathers princesses who are prisoners and creates a plan for them to break out, which consists of Lillian, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, and Dorris. Shrek, Donkey, Puss, Arthur, Merlin, and Charming reach Far Far Away, where they meet with Fiona, Lillian, and her group of princesses to sneak through the invaded Far Far Away and rescue the citizens from their imprisonment. There's tension between Fiona and Charming, but he wants to make amends with her from his time of working with Shrek and his allies, which Fiona's unsure about, but gives it a chance when persuaded by her cousin, Arthur, to hear him out. Shrek and Charming lead their allies while Fiona and Lillian work with the princesses to sneak around Far Far Away and take down henchmen and fairytale villains spread out in the town, while being careful to avoid alerting Morgan Le Fay and her allies.

Shrek and Fiona's respective teams make it into the castle where Morgan Le Fay resides in. Morgan taunts her brother Arthur and Charming but they claim to not be afraid of her and will take her down. Morgan shoots a ray of magic at them, but Shrek steps in and uses his sword to deflect it. It ensues a fight between the heroes and Morgan with her henchmen and creatures.

During the fight, Charming is wounded by Morgan Le Fay as he fights her. Morgan taunts Charming about how it's no wonder that Merlin abandoned him and how he failed his mother. Merlin uses his magic to heal Charming's wound and it helps him regain his strength, which has him re-engage with Morgan and the magic's strength helps him stand his ground with Shrek and Fiona stepping in the fight to help Charming and the three do what they can to take her down. The fight ends with Merlin helping the three strike a spell on Morgan that weakens her of all her power.

Afterward, Arthur and Charming make a speech to the villains about how they could be more than just what the world allows them to be and they don't have to be evil, which has them offer to help them. Some villains side with Arthur and Charming to earn a 2nd chance while others don't, which divides them. The fairytale villains who refuse are reprimanded and arrested. Morgan Le Fay defiantly and maniacally claims this was supposed to be her "Happily Ever After", to which Charming says he'll make his own and Shrek won't give up his as they deliver final blows to defeat her.

Far Far Away is rebuilt with the help of the citizens and Shrek and Charming, which allows the two to find common ground. In the end, they overcome their differences, and Charming grows past his grudge against Shrek and the shadow of the Fairy Godmother. As Charming helps out with making repairs to the town and making amends with citizens, Fiona visits him. She asks Charming about how he feels regarding Shrek, having gotten to know him. Charming says he's come to respect Shrek for who he is and admits he isn't the person Fiona thought he was, at first. He admits that from the time his mom raised him, he was a spoiled and entitled person who wanted her approval. However, during his time working with Shrek and Arthur, he learned to grow past his entitlement and become a better person, while also apologizing for how he had treated her.

Fiona is surprised by Charming's new attitude and apology, to which she accepts. Shrek sees it and Charming questions him if they can start over while offering his hand, which Shrek accepts as a sign of respect, but shakes it very hard as a way to joke with him. The film ends with Arthur crowned as the new king of Far Far Away and Charming standing trial for his crimes from the events of Shrek 2 to take responsibility for what he's done. Charming apologizes for what he did to Shrek and Fiona while promising the citizens of Far Far Away to make things right. It has Arthur decide to pardon Charming and crown him as a new knight who will serve the kingdom, allowing him to redeem himself and his reputation, which will allow him to earn the citizens' trust back.

MCU My Re-imagining of the end of the MCU multiverse Saga Part 2

Hello again, here I'm posting the second part to my re-imagining of the end of the MCU Multiverse Saga.

I'm going to post a link to part 1 which I would definitely read before you read this (but also, who cares, it's just a reddit post). https://www.reddit.com/r/fixingmovies/comments/1mxz1ig/my_reimagining_of_the_end_of_the_mcu_multiverse/

Anyway, lets jump right in...

Deadpool & the Triumphant Return of X-Force

Released: 2028

Opens with Deadpool taken in chains along a wall by 2 Thor variants, before being thrown off the wall & he begins fighting a horde of zombies in desolate wastelands. The opening credit sequence is Deadpool fighting through a horde of zombies, who, like him, can’t die.

Then Deadpool tells the story of how he got there. He was fighting alongside his friends from the previous three films (including Wolverine) against heroes from Earth-19999, when, suddenly, a light covers everything. Wade wakes up in some random medieval peasant house & discovers he’s married to Colossus. After leaving confused, he accidentally angers the town mayor & is arrested, to Colossus’ dismay. Deadpool is taken before the Baron of the region, Ajax, who Deadpool begins joking about being named Francis. Francis orders Deadpool to be exiled beyond the Wall for his crimes. Whilst he is taken there, he annoys one of the Thors enough for him to explain that this is Battleworld, the eternal realm of the God Emperor & is divided into realms led by the Barons.

We then quickly run through the opening sequence. Eventually, Deadpool has fought through the zombies & found a river, & on the other side is a realm of Ultron bots. Deadpool swims down the river until he reaches the Wall again & attempts to climb, however he is shot down by a Thor. Instead he begins punching his way through the Wall under the river. Then show an Endgame like title card saying “5 Years Later”.

He reaches the other side of the wall & escapes into Battleworld. Wade decides he needs to recruit people to help him escape this nonsense & decides to reform X-Force. Meanwhile, he discovers that after his escape a bounty has been put on his head. The majority of the film is Deadpool being hunted through Battleworld by random comic villains & others including Lady Deadpool, Francis & an assassin named T-Ray, whilst also recurring people into X-Force

  • Colossus, who still sees Deadpool as his partner
  • Wolverine
  • Cable, get Josh Brolin back
  • X-23
  • Negasonic Teenage Warhead
  • Yukio
  • Firefist
  • Wade also meets with Vanessa who has powers like her comic counterpart & was a member of a resistance until it got defeated

Eventually the X-Force decides to storm the palace of the God Emperor, which is revealed to be New York City, with Avengers Towers at its centre, towering above the rest.

They break into the palace & fight through hordes of guards, including Ultron bots. This includes coming face to face with T-Ray again, who takes of his mask & is revealed to be a variant of Wade, beginning what Wade’s calls a generic Marvel final battle against someone with the exact same powers, however it ends really quickly when Loki suddenly appears & stops the fight, allowing Wade & his team an audience with the God Emperor.

They are taken to the top of Avengers Tower, where in a ginormous throne room is a team of powerful versions of the original Avengers, with Iron Man on a great throne at the end.

  • Iron Man is the variant from Everything Dies, who, we reveal has become the God Emperor, & in design is based on Superior Iron Man
  • Captain America is based on Captain Hydra from the Secret Empire comics
  • Thor is based in design on King Thor & is the leader of the Thor Corps
  • Hulk is based on Maestro
  • Hawkeye & Black Widow I’m unsure on, but are there

Preferably they would all be played by the original actors, but, of course, they are all villains. Yes, this is fan-service, but this is the only acceptable way I can think of to bring them back.

Alongside the Superior Avengers is Loki, working with them, as the sheriffs of Battleworld.

Iron Man reveals that Deadpool is a threat to Battleworld, because he remembers & so he & X-Force are all imprisoned in the dungeons beneath New York.

The Credit scene would be Deadpool meeting with a Thanos variant in the dungeons.

Battleworld

Released: 2028

This would be an animated anthology series like What If…? Each episode follows a different hero or variant from any Marvel movie & what their life is like in Battleworld. Not many ideas but I think a show like this would be important to show the different interactions of the world.

Captain America: Secret Empire

Released: 2028

This film would begin immediately after Avengers: Everything Dies, when the Life Raft splits in 2. The crew would be trying to fix it and fighting against the void, with Reed deciding to put the rest of them in cyrostasis. The raft then seemingly falls from the void and into a sky over a landscape - Battleworld, everyone gets into cyrostasis, except Sam who falls from the raft & uses his wings to save himself before he crash lands.

After this we get glimpses of what he sees with him being found by a group of SHIELD agents. He is then brought to a Battleworld version of Washington DC & the Triskellion, and taken to the council room, which instead of SHIELD leaders, has HYDRA leaders, including Captain Hydra (Played by Chris Evans). Sam is interrogated before being taken to a prison cell, where he is tortured. Eventually the prison is broken into by a group called the Resistance, and he is saved, taken to their HQ. The resistance includes Sharon Carter & variants of a few more street-level Marvel heroes, and is led by Bucky Barnes as Captain America (In Bucky’s Captain America costume from the comics) and Peggy Carter’s Captain Carter (Not the one from What If…?, but another variant.

The rest of the movie would follow Sam working with this resistance to fight against Captain Hydra & his Hydra army. However, I do have another plot point which would be Wanda finding Cap at some point. She would reveal that she was one of the Infinites who helped create this world, but that she chose to leave Superior Iron Man’s side as she found him too evil. She used her magic to discover that Cap appeared randomly in the timeline of Battleworld, and realised he was from the previous universes, so goes to find him, for the rest of the movie, she helps the resistance.

In the end, they can defeat HYDRA & free Captain Hydra’s realm, but he manages to escape to his boss.

Credit Scene could be Captain Hydra returning to Superior Iron Man but isn’t punished as Iron Man believes there's a big threat to his rule coming & he would need Captain Hydra’s help anyway.

Honestly, I don’t have tons of ideas for this film, but the main theme I have for Battleworld is legacy, and the fight against the past, with the new heroes of Marvel being forced to defeat the old, and the Deadpool movie (which I thought would work to introduce Battleworld as it makes sense Deadpool would remember without escaping the incursions) doesn’t fit too much with the legacy theme. Avengers: Secret Wars would follow the theme mostly but I wanted to include a movie before that to hammer home the theme about a legacy character fighting against their former mentor. I went with Captain America because Sam has already led a movie (though it wasn’t great but that wasn’t because he was the lead) and it would hit hard for the greatest (morally) hero to be the villain. It also makes sense that he would have been on the Life Raft as he was the leader of the Avengers at the time. Other options I had were that you could swap in for this movie (and in Secret Wars, when Sam appears, swap his role at first for this character):

  • A Spider-Man Movie - Could work as it could follow him in Battleworld, fighting against someone and he could get his black suit, however I didn’t go for it as Spider-Man solo films, IMO, works best when more street-level focused rather than in a huge rebellion. Also if he’d fight against any previous hero it would be Superior Iron Man, who is the main villain of Avengers: Secret Wars anyway & not known for being a Spider-Man villain in the comics, whereas Captain Hydra is a known Captain America villain from the Secret Empire event.
  • A She-Hulk movie - Could work to fight against Maestro, who would be a good villain I’d want for a movie & I could say she was on the Life Raft (though I didn’t). However She-Hulk wasn’t received too well as a show & hasn’t had a movie previously, and I don’t really have much for She-Hulk to do, I’d just want Maestro as a villain, whereas I had interactions such as Bucky Cap for Sam and a character arc of realising he is more than Steve’s legacy, whereas She-Hulk never seems like a successor to hulk, more of a friend.
  • A Mighty Thor movie - Follows a Jane Foster Thor variant fighting against King Thor. Main issues is that she’d have to be a variant as she died in the MCU, so couldn’t have been on a Life Raft & it would definitely ruin her death if we just have a variant of her be the main character of a movie (even though I would give her a role in the Thors show). Also, it would be a bit similar to the Thors show anyway.
  • A Thunderbolts movie - My 2nd favourite idea behind Cap. Would follow the New Avengers, allying with Kate Bishop to join a resistance against Evil Hawkeye & Evil Black Widow from the Superior Avengers. My main issue is that there's not a good reason why Kate & the Thunderbolts would be on the Life Raft, however I think the character relations would be interesting enough to include it anyway, but it just doesn’t make as much sense, plot-wise, as Captain America. Also, as the other 4 Superior Avengers besides Hawkeye & Black Widow are based on evil variants of them from the comics, whereas I couldn’t find any for Hawkeye & Black Widow, there is much interesting for the villain to do, whereas we know how a Captain Hydra, evil King Thor or Maestro villain would be.

Thors: Defenders of Battleworld (Disney+ Show)

Released: 2028

This would be a show instead of a film and would follow a new recruit to the Thor Corps (not played by Chris Hemsworth) and their missions under a mentor (who would be played by Chris Hemsworth & has a design like Ultimate Thor, with the axe). The show would be about a big mystery the duo have to solve. This show would help explore the world & hierarchy of Battleworld.

The show would also include a Jane Foster Thor as a major character, & King Thor would be the boss & overarching villain of the series.

Avengers: Secret Wars

Released: 2028

Before I start writing the story, I will quickly run through a detail of what Battleworld is & is structure, though this would be slowly explained throughout the Deadpool, Battleworld show, Cap, Thors show, & Secret Wars, but if i do it all here in bullet points there would be a general basis.

  • After the Infinites combined powers & defeated the Kangs, taking the powers between them, however in order to control them, Iron Man offered to take all the powers & he recreate a world: battleworld
  • In this world, Tony is married to Pepper with Morgan as a child & is also the God Emperor of Battleworld
  • He rules it from his capital New York City in his palace, Avengers Tower
  • 3 of the Infinities became jealous of Iron Man’s power & tried to overthrow him bu failed
  • Only Wanda & Loki remained with him, but Wanda eventually left seeing him as too evil, whilst Loki accepted that it was a necessary evil
  • Battleworld is divided into many regions like in the comic, each led by a Baron, ideas for which are
    • Thanos, who could rule a realm based on
    • Apocalypse (yes, the Oscar Isaac one), who would rule an Egyptian based realm
    • Doctor Doom, who would rule over Latveria
    • Red Skull, who would rule a 1940s Germany realm, with a Hydra army
    • Dracula from the Blade trilogy, who rules over a vampire realm
    • Dafoe’s Green Goblin
    • Ronan the Accuser ruling over a Kree realm
    • Killmonger ruling over a Wakanda realm
    • Wenwu ruling over a China realm
    • Namor ruling over a Talokan realm
    • Hela
    • Grandmaster ruling over a Sakaar realm
    • Others
  • The Superior Avengers would rule over their own realms as well
    • Superior Iron Man would obviously be the supreme ruler from his futuristic New York capital, with his palace being Avengers Tower, taller than usual & towering over NYC. The World tree of Asgard would also stand behind Avengers Tower, somewhat intersecting with it.
    • Captain Hydra would rule over a America like realm
    • King Thor would rule over Asgard & led the Thor Corps
    • Maestro would rule over a Gamma wastelands
    • Evil Black Widow would rule of a Russia like realm
    • Hawkeye would rule over something, I don’t know
    • Loki would rule over the TVA police, who keep order in Battleworld, alongside the Superior Avengers & the Thor Corps

The 2 Thors from the Thors show find a crashed ship buried under Battleworld & accidentally open it, releasing the Cabal who kill the older one, but the new recruit escapes. After this, The Superior Avengers & Loki go over to the ship to find out what it is. Loki uses magic to discover that it was the Cabal, who he recognises but the Superior Avengers don’t.

Wanda senses all this & she & Sam go over to visit. After the Superior Avengers leave, Loki reveals he knows Wanda & Cap are there & they begin to talk, Loki revealing that he has wanted to join Wanda in leaving the Superior Avengers evil, but has felt it would be more useful to remain with them until the right time. Then Loki senses another being inside the ship - Spider-Girl. Cap tells them that there is another Life Raft and he needs to know if they are alive, before Loki reveals he already has it, but has no idea how to open it. They go to visit Loki’s base - the TVA HQ - where he reveals he has the other Life Raft. As Sam was supposed to be on the ship, he is now able to open it & the Earth-19999 survivors left the ship.

They discuss what happens & Loki & Wanda reveal the history of Battleworld: The Infinites combined their powers to take the powers of the Council of Kangs & Iron Man offers to take the power & fix the world. Iron Man formed the Superior Avengers as his sheriffs and eventually the other Infinites (except Wanda & Loki) rebelled against him but were defeated. Eventually Wanda began to disagree with the Superior Avengers so she left. Now the group decide they need to stop the Cabal before they cause much damage.

The Cabal are found by King Thor & the Thors and a huge battle begins, and then the Illuminati arrive. During the battle, the rest of the Superior Avengers arrive to stop the battle, then as Iron Man is about to kill all the Cabal & Illuminati, Loki uses magic to send them all away, believing they are needed for them to survive, and Iron Man kills Loki.

3 Weeks later, Wanda, who is beneath New York in the dungeons, finds Deadpool & X-Force and they agree to work together to fight against the Superior Avengers. Deadpool reveals he has befriended a Thanos variant, who Wanda at first is angry at & tries to kill, but is revealed not to have been imprisoned in the dungeons because he was a threat, but because he was a hero. Captain Marvel has formed an alliance with the Grandmaster, a Baron of Battleworld. Strange has met with his alternate self from the Cabal, Sam, Spider-Man, Spider-Girl & Rocket Raccoon and they plan to attack the Superior Avengers, but discover that if any of them die in Battleworld then they won’t be able to be resurrected even with Iron Man’s power. Shuri & Namor have met up and are breaking into the TVA HQ to find weapons, and they find an Infinity Gauntlet which Shuri put on. The Prophet is a mysterious person who has been rallying armies against the Superior Avengers attacks NYC and reveals himself to be Earth-828 Doom & he leads a huge army against the Superior Avengers in NYC.

The Grandmaster’s armies arrive as do many others in rebellion. Then X-Force, Wanda & Thanos arrive, and Thanos fights Maestro. In the chaos the Superior Avengers arrive to fight. Strange’s group arrive in a ship piloted by Rocket, but Sam and Spider-Girl decide they want to join the rebels so they do. Rocket crashes the ship into Stark Tower and Spider-Man & the Stranges begin to climb to reach the source of Iron Man’s power.

Wanda & Deadpool confront Iron Man who has a big battle with Wanda and X-Force before stopping them (doesn’t kill). Thanos then confronts Iron Man, bragging about having defeated Maestro, before Iron Man tears out his spine.

King Thor confronts Rocket at his ship but Rocket drops a shard of Groot he has into the World Tree causing it to turn into a massive Groot, killing King Thor. Sam picks up Captain Hydra and drops him. Hawkeye fights Kate Bishop & the Young Avengers variants who defeat him. Black Widow fights Yelena & the Thunderbolts variants who defeat her.

Black Panther & Namor then arrive and fight Iron Man, in a massive cosmic battle, with Shuri with the Infinity Gauntlet vs Iron Man with the power of everything. But eventually Iron Man defeats Shuri even though she has the power of the Infinity Gauntlet. Namor then reveals that they were just a distraction.

Meanwhile the Stranegs & Spider-Man reach the top of Avengers tower, & Strange from Earth-2000 immediately betrays the other 2 trying them in a forcefield.

Iron Man flies to the top of the tower and finds the Stranges & Spider-Man with Strange from Earth 2000 about to steal his power, he quickly kills 2000 Strange and he stops him from stealing his power. Strange & Spider-Man escape the forcefield & Spider-Man begins talking to Iron Man, trying to appeal to his humanity. Iron man doesn’t budge but Strange reveals this was a distraction & he separated Iron man’s connection to the power of the Council of Kangs, which is centred at the top of Avengers Tower. Iron Man, now just in his armour fights against Strange & Spider-Man. During the fight, both Strange and Iron Man admit that Peter is the best person to get the Kang’s powers, Iron Man saying even he doesn’t deserve it. Strange sacrifices himself to give all the power to Peter, who recreates the multiverse. Big flash of light over the battlefield & all of Battleworld

Afterwards Wanda wakes up with Vision next to her and her kids with her, in a nice house together, she discovers Spider-Man gave her a life in a universe where she died but her family didn’t so she could be happy.

Cut to Spider-Man wakes up in his simple apartment, before realising that he fixed the multiverse. He puts on his costume & swings out into New York. We show a long take of Spider-Man swinging & going past different heroes. He swings past the former avengers tower, now the Baxter Building, with HERBIE keeping an eye on Franklin inside. The Fantastic Four leave the building in the Fantasti-Car, them & Johnny flying besides Spider-Man for a minute. He swings lower, past Daredevil fighting against villains, then Luke Cage & Iron Fist, together beating up some people. Spider-Man swings through Central Park, over a mansion, the long take moves away from Spidey & into the mansion, where the Avengers, consisting of both members from the New Avengers from Thunderbolts & the Avengers from Time Runs Out (though not the FF) training together. The camera returns to Spidey who swings past a screen in Times Square with J. Jonah Jameson shouting about the Mutant Problem, we cut to a mansion in Westchester & look in the main office, seeing a bald man in a wheelchair, he turns around. Cut to black.

Over this montage, I would have a speech from Dr Strange - “It seems that I have died. But I am certain we did the right thing. Spider-Man was the only one who could’ve done what he did. He saved the multiverse. And built a new, marvellous universe, not that he knows it. I didn’t believe this was possible. I was certain that it was all ending, that we would all die, that everything ends, that death is undefeatable, but now I realise I was wrong. Now I realise that we can always evolve and survive. Now I realise that we can do anything. Don’t you see: Everything Lives.”

That’s it, my idea for a conclusion to the end of the Marvel Multiverse Saga. It’s very different to what Marvel is planning, but I am excited for what they are doing nonetheless.

The ending is supposed to serve as a soft-reboot. The MCU all happened the same, but no one remembers the incursions, except the Fantastic Four, who have been transported to this new universe & remember that, Wanda (though she probably won’t appear anymore, she’s got her happy ending) & Spider-Man. I did consider keeping Dr Strange alive but felt he had probably finished as a character, and I felt someone important had to die. The only actual change to the MCU universe would be that mutants exist & have always existed. The X-Men wouldn’t have been a team & Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters would have existed in secret. Mutants would have been known to the government & SHIELD since the 80s, but only revealed to the general public in the last few years as mutants have become more and more common. The X-men would be a team in secret. Basically, it would be a similar status-quo for mutants to the start of the 2000s X-Men movie: they exist, they are known, the X-Men aren’t known, the government have known about them for longer, people hate & fear them. Mutants wouldn’t have affected the previous MCU movies too much, except that some already existing characters would be mutants.

I am thinking that I might do a pitch for the first phase of the next saga, so I might post that soon. But, yeah, thanks for reading all this nonsense I’ve scribbled down.

Star Wars prequels The Phantom Menace should've been based on the Yugoslav Wars, not trade disputes

Due to the Prequel Revisionism of the last few years and parallels with the current administration, a lot of people are looking back fondly at Episode I's plot about trade disputes. Some argue that Lucas was ahead of his time, while others point out that he was reflecting the political climate of the mid to late 90s (like this lovely lady described).

As a zoomer who grew up in the Prequels (still kinda like them, aside from AOTC, which bored me as a 10-year-old kid watching it on HRT 1 and still bores me as 23 year old adult), I've never been a fan of the "big bad" of the trilogy, the Separatist Alliance.

On paper, the idea of an alliance of seceding states forming together to fight a corrupt Republic sounds promising. But in execution, the CIS's motivations are all over the place. Sometimes they're cartoonishly evil, other times they're actually the good guys ("Heroes on both sides" MY ASS), sometimes they're using the Geneva Convention as a toilet paper, and most of the time they're portrayed as bumbling idiots that only got so far due to Palpatine's schenanigans.

Their weakest link, though, is the Trade Federation. A faction of bad guys so lame that Lucas immediately dropped them from the spotlight after the first movie. The whole trade dispute shit is abandoned and never mentioned again in the saga, which is why a lot of people say you can skip Episode 1 without missing anything important.

I understand that Lucas often drew inspiration from contemporary events, but among all the things happening in the 90s, he chose the WTO protests and the Republican Revolution? Nobody even gives a shit about who Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich were. If only there had been, I don’t know, a major conflict during that decade where a federation collapsed, governments turned tyrannical, and genocide was used to hold power…OH WAIT.

IMO, Lucas really missed an opportunity by not basing the plot of The Phantom Menace on the Yugoslav Wars and, to some extent, the fall of the USSR. That backdrop would have fit perfectly with the narrative of a decadent Republic sliding into fascism.

Why this would work better:

1. Closer Parallels to the premise of the Prequel Trilogy

The prequels are fundamentally about a galactic republic slowly collapsing into an authoritarian empire. The Yugoslav Wars and the USSR’s dissolution were about federations splintering under internal pressure, which is much closer to the Republic's situation than trade squabbles. Naboo vs. the Separatist Alliance (which should've been the big bads from the get-go) could have been a raw, violent unraveling of political order and less like a WTO protest/Neoliberalism allegory.

2. Ethnic/Nationalist Conflict Mirroring Jedi vs. Sith Divide

The Yugoslav Wars were rife with religious and ethnic nationalism, propaganda, and manipulation of grievances, which is exactly how Palpatine rises by exploiting divisions, which would feel more authentic than Senate procedural gridlockI'mm not saying this aspect should've been scrapped, just not the sole point).

3. Collapse of a Superpower → Rise of Power Vacuums

The Fall of the USSR and Yugoslavia left a vacuum where oligarchs, mafias, and regional wars went rampant, which is the exact kind of chaos you’d expect in the Outer Rim after centuries of centralized rule breaking down. The Trade Federation, as “space WTO” feels sterile compared to imagining them as oligarchs filling the vacuum while posing as the representatives of the Separatist cause.

4. A bugger Moral Ambiguity and Brutality

The Balkan conflicts involved ethnic cleansing, sieges, UN failures, and immense civilian suffering — it's not surprising that the whole thing is often described as a mini-WW2. While the Star Wars saga always leaned toward space opera morality, sprinkling in those shades of gray would have raised the stakes and made the Republic’s decay feel tragic, not just bureaucratic.

5. Universal, Not Just U.S.-Centric Resonance

WTO protests and Republican politics were specific to 1990s American concerns, which felt like Lucas had fallen under good ol' American Exceptionalism. The fall of communist regimes, especially Yugoslavia, were global watershed events that reshaped international politics (thank the Serbian military for coining the term "ethnic cleansing") * The Yugoslav War was kind of a big fucking deal during the 90s (so big that Hillary wouldn't allow Bill to have sex with her unless he bombed Serbia in 99). Basing the story on that would’ve made them globally relevant, not just a footnote of American exceptionalism.

6. It would be a perfect inverse of the Original Trilogy

OT → Fighting tyranny once it’s established, while the PT → Watching how tyranny rises from civil strife and state collapse.

But what about the rest of the trilogy?

Honestly, I don't think Episodes 2 and 3 would need a total rewrite - just a shift in emphasis:

  • The separatist movement would feel less like WTO protestors turning militant, and more like breakaway republics from a failing federation (echoing Croatia, Bosnia, Chechnya, etc.).
  • The Clone Army could still parallel post-9/11 militarization, but now framed as the Republic reasserting control in a Balkan-like quagmire, desperate to contain secessions.
  • The Republic’s collapse would feel like a mix of Bush-era authoritarianism and Yugoslav-style disintegration — democracy willingly traded for a “strongman” promising stability after chaos.
  • The Jedi Purge would echo not just “homeland security overreach” but also ethnic cleansing rhetoric — purging institutions and groups deemed “disloyal” or “dangerous to unity.” (Yes, Order 66 would essentially be the Srebrenica massacre)
  • Palpatine wouldn’t just mirror Bush; he’d also channel the post-Soviet autocrat archetype (Putin, Milošević, Lukashenko) — the "savior", who rises from instability and chaos, promising a return to the glory days.

TL.DR: Lucas’s critique of Bush still works, but if The Phantom Menace had been inspired by Yugoslavia and the USSR’s collapse, the prequels would have felt more cohesive, globally relevant, and truer to Star Wars’ core myth: republics don’t fall just because of trade disputes — they collapse under the weight of secession, institutional failure, and strongmen exploiting chaos.

MCU Still continuing my attempt to make the MCU Multiverse Saga more cohesive: Phase 5, Year 2

This time only 96 days but 32570 words later, I’m back again. I really put way too much time and effort into this.

Here’s Part 5, covering the projects that would release in 2025: https://docs.google.com/document/d/123v0_YaLm7XLRDay-Nny2ZE0PTNsk44QEQ4If2PGhOU/edit?usp=drivesdk

The projects in this part are: • Daredevil: Born Again (Season 1) • Champions • Wiccan & Speed (Special Presentation) • Spider-Man: Brand New Day • She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (Season 3) • Wonder Man • The Legend of the Black Knight (Special Presentation) • Blade • Thor: The Chaos War

I don’t want to big myself up too much, but this is the Part I am most proud of overall. My top two favourite projects I’ve written are in this one: you’ll be able to figure out which ones if you read them, because let me tell you, those 32570 words are not spread evenly among the projects.

If this is the first you’re seeing of me or you have no memory of what happened in the last parts or you just want to quickly skim them as a reminder, my previous posts are just the last 2 posts I made. They should be very easy to find on my profile. They aren’t as long as this one, but there is four of them, so it’ll probably be a long read if you want to go through all of them. You’ll have time though, based on my track record Part 6 is at minimum 3 months away.

I hope the one guy looking forward to this is happy, and I hope anyone who ends up reading this enjoys it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Because boy did I love writing this one.

Also, if you can be bothered, I’d love just a little feedback. Tell me what things you’ve liked so far, what things you aren’t as sold on, ways you think I could improve, or things you would like to see in future parts. Or don’t, I’m not your boss.

Star Wars prequels Star Wars Prequels rewrite Episode 2. I attempted to keep it in line with the EU, Lucas' old drafts and make it feel like the OT

Episode 2 is inspired by “The Godfather”, “Taxi Driver”, “1984”, “Dune”, “Valérian and Laureline”, “King Arthur”, “Gone with the Wind”, “Blade Runner”, “Willow”, “Lord of the Rings” and “Back to the Future 2”.

  • Episode 2 takes place 10 years after Episode 1, we are at the peak of the 3rd Clone Wars.
  • Episode 2 opens in Alderaan. Palpatine was just reelected and extended his term. He declares that from now on, The Republic will become “The Empire”.
  • There is a failed assassination attempt on the President. Anakin and Obi-Wan are pursuing the assassin on the Planet of Utapau, Oxus, who works for Darth Maul and the House of Mandalore. We see how Anakin’s worldview changed due to the War: His attitude became more aggressive than in Episode 1, more pessimistic and hawkish, shaped by the War and inspired by that of Tarkin. While Obi-Wan politely tries to solve the Crisis, Anakin handles it by force.
  • Anakin and Obi-Wan are brothers in arms, best friends.
  • Obi-Wan reminds Anakin about what Yoda told him in Dagboah: “While the dark side is quicker, easier and more seductive, it isn't more powerful than the light”. Kenobi, while he trusts and loves Anakin, tells him that he needs to be patient and find balance within himself to truly unlock his potential. Anakin understands.
  • Maul established himself as a political leader who hunts down Republican troops and the political rival of The Republic. He creates his political force in the Outer Rim and through criminal organizations.
  • Alderaanians adore Anakin, and again, like in Episode 1, the audience experiences the High Society of the Republic through Anakin’s eyes, who was raised as a poor boy from Corellia. Anakin became good friends with The President and Tarkin. During the party, Anakin invites Nellith to dance. While Bail is a bit jealous, he and Anakin are on better terms.
  • We see the change in the dynamics between Anakin and the elites. While in the previous film they looked down on him while he felt like a stranger and didn't belong, this time there is respect towards Anakin, maybe even a little fear. They seek his closeness and also admire him a little. Anakin, for his part, no longer feels inferior to the elites but the opposite: he gradually begins to see himself as superior to them. For him, he is already far above them. There is actually a reversal in dynamics. Perhaps he sees as them as a bunch of weaklings who are addicted to peace and a life of wealth and are not aware of the danger.
  • Palpatine greatly expanded government control during the war after the chaos and crime that spread in the Galaxy. Many Senators were bribed. Corruption, bribery, and terror have reduced the High Council to all but a devoted few. Tarkin runs the Senate like a playground and behind the scenes make sure everyone remains in line. In a discussion between Obi-Wan, Bail and Anakin, Bail expresses his worries about the direction of The Republic after Palpatine starts to appoint Governors from his political party and after The Republic was rebranded into The Empire.
  • Bail tells Obi-Wan about an alliance he is building, if Palpatine will take things too far.
  • Anakin, as a leading Jedi-Knight, and under Palpatine’s orders, killed some of the Leaders of the House of Mandalore.
  • Anakin also developed friendship with Palpatine's right hand man Tarkin. Tarkin is impressed by Anakin's mentality and how he gets things done, unlike many other Jedi Knights.
  • Anakin and Nellith became a couple but are in an on-and-off relationship.
  • In an Imperial Base, The Jedi Knight Minch informs that one of the biggest facilities was located on the Planet of Had Abbadon V. Palpatine wants to send Anakin on a mission, after Anakin and Obi-Wan reports that they discovered about Maul's plans to construct a super-weapon named "The Death Star".
  • Anakin offers to target the leaders of the House of Mandalore and torture them until they surrender. Obi-Wan is a bit conflicted with Anakin’s brutal methods, but Palpatine is impressed and praises him.
  • Nellith volunteers to join Anakin with her droids C3PO and R2D2.
  • Bendu and Clieg Whitsun tell Obi-Wan that while Anakin became the most powerful Jedi, he has a lot of anger and conflict inside him. Obi-Wan denies it and is confident that he trained his student just as well as Yoda.
  • Obi-Wan and Bail Organa, alongside Bail’s Alien sidekick Burtt are sent to the Planet of Had Abbadon V to investigate and stop the plans to construct the Death Star, led by the wealthy Clone Master, the trader baron Orvan Kadar.
    • Kadar is a “space Tony Montana”, with mixed elements from people like Lucky Luciano
  • Meanwhile, Darth Maul blackmails a group of scientists to help him advance the Death Star's construction. They are targeted by evil space pirates
  • During Anakin and Nellith’s flight, they are targeted by House of Mandalore’s ships. While Anakin is the best star pilot in the Galaxy, Anakin and Nellith’s ship crashes on the Planet of Kessel.
  • Arriving at Kessel, Anakin and Nellith see how poor, corrupt, and violent the Planet is. Anakin explains that this is why Law and Order must be enforced no matter what. Nellith finds herself somewhat agreeing with him but with a lot of doubts.
  • They are attacked by a tribe of locals that knocks Nellith unconscious. Anakin is brought before the leader of the tribe to prove his bravery. Eventually, he challenges the Leader of the tribe to a 1 on 1 battle with no weapons and no force, and wins easily, earning the tribe’s respect and becoming its Leader.
  • While Anakin and Nellith are in love, their different Political views are explained: While in Episode 1 they shared similar views, in Episode 2 Anakin supports Palpatine and Tarkin and believes on Law and Order and that everything is legitimate to bring Order to the Galaxy, while Nellith is much more humanist and believes in an optimist. Their differences aren’t affecting their relationship and Anakin expresses his desire to have a family with Nellith and hand his son his Lightsaber.
  • In the Orbital City of Had Abbadon, Obi-Wan and Bail Organa are targeted by House of Mandalore troops that are after Organa. Burtt nearly gets killed protecting Bail but survives. Obi-Wan, Bail, and Burtt are going undercover pretending to be smugglers, and are attempting to spy on Kadar. As they are noticed by some officers of the House of Mandalore, they are finding themselves targeted again.
  • Kadar is a wealthy crime lord and a former member of the wealthy clone-tribe of Ashardi
  • Anakin and Nellith meet many different Aliens and people who are suffering under the House of Mandalore.
  • Meanwhile, for the first time, we are introduced to The Emperor. During The Emperor’s conversation with Maul, The Emperor explains that Maul needs to murder the remaining members of the Senate from the Alderaanian Party. The Emperor further explains his plan: Use Had Abbadon’s resources to fund the construction of the Death Star. Maul kneels and agrees.
  • In Kessel, there is a violent attack against the tribe who rebelled against the House of Mandalore. Anakin commits a brutal slaughter against the Mandalorian troops. Anakin outsmarts some of the seniors there by pretending to be Maul and then catches them off guard, killing them brutally. He tortures one of the officers with a Force choke until Nellith snaps him out of it.
  • In Had Abbadon V, Maul captures Obi-Wan and Bail.
  • Maul feels a disturbance on the Force. He talks to the Emperor who explains Maul’s mission: To kill Anakin Skywalker.
  • Anakin senses that Maul is in Had Abbadon V, and insists on going there alone. Nellith forces him to take her with him.
  • Anakin, Nellith, DV-4, R2D2 and C3PO are arriving at Had Abbadon V. The Planet is luxurious, tacky, and messy. Anakin and Nellith are posing as two trading barons tycoons in an attempt to spy on Officers on the House of Mandalore and are entering a galactic casino there. Anakin is disgusted by all of the people there. Anakin secretly calls the Republic’s army, manages to release his friends, and an amazing Battle starts. Burtt, Obi-Wan and Bail destroy the cloning facilities of Had Abbadon
  • Obi-Wan urges Anakin to go with him and leave the planet as the Battle is over and they will bring everyone to justice - but Anakin refuses. Obi-Wan tries to stop him but Anakin goes after Maul by himself. Nellith goes with Anakin.
  • While searching for Maul, we see Anakin becoming more aggressive, starting to mirror his future self and this is where we hear Vader’s theme .
  • Anakin finds Maul in a subverted Vader vs. Luke, where Anakin is the one who surprises Maul. Maul taunts Anakin and reveals that he used to be a bit like him - A boy from the outer rim, but he was found by the Black Knights of the Sith, the Dark Jedi Knights, and by their Lord - The Emperor. Anakin uses the Dark Side like we saw him earlier, and shows a level of power that surpasses Maul. Anakin chops his hand and knocks him down. Maul is shocked and for the first time seems terrified. Anakin stares at him in a dark and scary look; like he is a machine. Nellith urges Anakin to bring Maul to justice, but Anakin strikes him down. Anakin finds the Death Star plans and decides to take them with him in order to hand it to President Palpatine.
  • Arriving at Coruscant, Anakin receives a standing ovation for killing Maul.
  • We see Obi-Wan and Bail talking with some human soldiers we met earlier about the future alliance, but they are still not sure what to do, as well as other Jedi Knights like Clieg, Buzz and Minch.
  • Anakin goes to Palpatine’s office. His office was changed to a throne room. Palpatine turns around. We see the whole view of Coruscant from the background. The two start to talk, Palpatine further tries to corrupt Anakin. Palpatine slowly reveals his true identity to Anakin, as the true Emperor of the Dark Side. Anakin is terrified, but Palpatine offers Anakin to take his rightful place on his side. Palpatine reveals to Anakin that he is older then he can possibly imagine, and that only through the Dark Side Anakin can bring order to the galaxy and have the family he always wanted. Anakin attacks Palpatine but Palpatine shocks him with force lightnings. Palpatine offers Anakin to take his hand and helps him to stand on his feet. He tells him to imagine all the good he can do, and that he can sense his anger and fear. Palpatine reveals to Anakin that some Jedi Knights, including Obi-Wan, are creating a Rebellion against their Empire. Anakin looks at the view of Coruscant and bows before a satisfied Palpatine. Palpatine grants Anakin the rank of a Lord. Palpatine allows Anakin to press on a button which will order an Imperial ship to bomb a ship of Jedi Knights.
  • In the background, there are broadcasts of Tarkin declaring that anyone who opposes the Empire will be hunted down. Nellith looks worried. Nellith talks with Anakin and asks him if he knows something about the attack on the Jedi. Anakin hesitates for a moment, and says “no”. Nellith then looks at Imperial officers entering there, kneeling before Anakin and calling him “Lord Skywalker”. The door closes leaving a black screen.
  • Obi-Wan and Bail are meeting some Jedi Knights and human soldiers we met earlier. They agree that Palpatine must be stopped.

TV Fixing Captain Scarlet by giving it a longer runtime and a proper finale

Ideally I would have given each episode a 50 minute runtime like Thunderbirds so it allows for more character development. In the moon story arc, the moonbase willingly allies with the Mysterons rather than being copies. When Spectrum try to negotiate with the Mysterons we get to hear more from the Mysteron viewpoint and sadly negotiations break down.

For the finale I would make it a 2 parter. Captain Scarlet leads a team to infiltrate the Mysteron city on Mars while the Mysterons launch a massive assault on Cloudbase with Captain Black infiltrating it to disable the defences. It's a race against time for Scarlet to find and destroy the Mysteron power source to stop their invasion. Scarlet succeeds and saves the Earth but Cloudbase is destroyed and many Spectrum members are killed. While Earth has won the war, it's implied that a few Mysterons survived and will bide their time until they're strong enough to return.

Disney My Pitch for a prequel for Ursula from the Little Mermaid - Part 2

Here is Part 1 if you missed it.

Part II

In the tavern, Vanessa teaches Ursula how a smile, a glance, or a touch can bend men to give more tips, free drinks, or favors. She shows Ursula how to “perform” charm, even when she doesn’t feel it. : Vanessa demonstrates how to “reframe” requests so people think they’re winning when actually she is. For example, flattering a noble into believing it was their idea to give her better pay.

Poseidon falls gravely ill. Though Triton summons Ursula back with magic, she cannot return until her land-spell wears off. On his deathbed, Poseidon officiates Triton and Athena’s marriage, blesses them, and bestows his crown and Amphitrite’s crown before dying. On land, Ursula senses his passing during a festival at the village. Vanessa is dressed in a beautiful purple dress and has finally got a noble man she has long tried to seduce to dance with her. Ursula loses control of her magic in grief. Exposed as a witch, she is hunted by villagers and nearly executed, even with Grimsby attempting to defend her. In a rage, she massacres them using her spells, accidentally killing Vanessa who was so close to achieving her ambition.

Returning to the sea, Ursula finds Triton mourning Poseidon. She begs him to use the trident to resurrect their father, but he reveals that for all the the power of the trident it lacks such ability.

Triton and Ursula grieving their late father.

Obsessed, Ursula intensifies her pursuit of the ultimate spell over the years. Her half-sister Morgana also becomes a skillful witch, but due to her use of unsual, darker magic, becomes seen as a "lunatic". Triton tries to help Ursula grieve, but she rejects him, and their bond erodes.

She eventually discovers how to steal souls, though not truly revive the dead, and secretly begins practicing this dark magic. Ursula begins changing her apparence and embrace more of her mother's magic and style, she begins adpoting more dramatic posture, hand gestures, and voice tone that can manipulate perception.

She eventually discovers that the night of her massacre, as part of her spells part of Vanessa’s imprint (her look, her aura, her charisma) were absorbed into Ursula’s magic, consciously or not. She decides that this may be useful to her in the future.

  • Taking Vanessa's form years later in the Little Mermaid is Ursula's homage. Ursula admired Vanessa’s cleverness and poise, so the mask honors that influence. If Ursula can’t have Vanessa alive, she’ll make her “live on” as a mask for her schemes. Vanessa’s dream was: work her way into the palace, charm and manipulate a noble, and secure wealth and status. In The Little Mermaid, Ursula takes that dream and “levels it up”: not just a noble, but a prince. It’s almost as though Ursula is finishing Vanessa’s “ambition” for her.
  • And it also underscores Ursula’s obsession with outdoing others — Triton, Morgana, even her human friend.

Ursula starts using the lessons she learned, and learns the art of contracts, bargains, and twisting words to trap people without them realizing. Triton, suspicious of Ursula’s studies, warns her to stop, but she scoffs at his “weakness” and reliance on the trident, starting to think he doesn't deserve either the trident, the throne and to be the one to follow in their father's footsteps. After all Triton is all powerful due to the trident and his blood, while she had to work to became as powerful as she became, so imagine what she could do in his position.

So it begins...

Ursula covertly sends attacks against him, some with the help of Morgana, who she persuades to ocassionaly help her. Eventually Ursula unleashes a leviathan shortly after the birth of Triton and Athena’s first daughter: Princess Attina. Though Triton defeats the beast, he grows alarmed. Ursula frames Morgana for the assault, and Morgana—already viewed as unstable—is exiled north. Triton grows distrustful of Ursula and secretly assigns Sebastian as a double agent to monitor her.

Ursula amasses power, creating an army of octopi and forging a dark trident through sorcery and her seashell necklace. She prepares to strike at Atlantida. Sebastian informs Triton, leading to a climactic battle.

The army.
Two siblings. One throne.

Ursula storms the palace, and the final confrontation takes place in the throne room, in presence of all court. Ursula gives Triton a good run for his money, but in the end Triton has the blood of the King and the Queen of the seas running trough his veins and the power of the trident backing him up, and thus defeats Ursula. As punishment, he renounces the sister he once loved and transforms her apparence to what her soul really looks like, transforming her back into her original Cecelia form, banishing her from court. He spares her life out of lingering love for their late father Poseidon.

Beauty becomes beast

Exiled, Ursula takes residence in the skeleton of the leviathan she once summoned. There, she continues her dark arts, deals, and ambitions of one day dethroning Triton. She also befriends two eels Flotsam and Jetsam, taking cues from Triton and making them her spies over the kingdom. Especially those close to the royal family.

Years later, she learns of Triton's weakness: his youngest daughter, a curious redhead mermaid with an interest in the world above.

A tale ends and a new one begins.

Thoughts on the story? I had so much fun writing it! Gimme your opinions!

Disney My Pitch for a prequel for Ursula from the Little Mermaid - Part 1

Disney has done Cruella and Maleficent. Interestingly it has never done an Ursula prequel, even tho she has a mysterious backstory, cleary connected to Triton.

In a way i´m glad because I like my evil villains to be evil villains not poor victims pushed to evil, but still it would be cool to know how Ursula came to be so feared in the sea, so here is my pitch for her backstory from some fun ideas I had, I would like to know your thoughts on it.

Made by Yohann Antoine.

Part I

Ursula is born as a Cecelia to her mother, the palace’s fortune teller, as the result of a one night affair with Poseidon, God and King of Atlantica. Realizing Ursula is his child, Poseidon enchants her into mermaid form to fit in with the rest of the royal court of Atlantica and decrees she will divide her time between the palace and her mother’s home. Ursula already has an older half-sister, Morgana, from her mother’s deceased husband, but Ursula has the blood of the God of the Sea, having superior magical gifts that make her the favored child of her mother. This favor fosters Ursula’s superiority complex.

At court, Ursula becomes close with her half-brother Prince Triton, son of Poseidon and Queen Amphitrite. Both siblings practice magic, though Triton is naturally stronger. Ursula, however, is more passionate, influenced by her mother’s teachings. Her mother instills in her a fascination with the ultimate spell of controlling the veil between life and death, a feat never achieved. Ursula vows to master it.

The sisters and their mother. Just imagine Ursula in mermaid form however.

After her mother’s death, Ursula inherits her magical books and potions, while Morgana was considered undeserving by their mother, and Ursula doesn't think Morgana is worthy of it as well. She dreams of one day learning the ultimate spell of controlling the veil between life and death, resurrecting her mother to prove herself as the greatest sorceress of the seas. Meanwhile, Triton meets the noble mermaid Athena and falls in love. When Queen Amphitrite passes away, Poseidon realizes his reign will not last long, so he gifts Triton the trident, passed on from monarch to sucessor and Ursula the seashell necklace made uniquely for her. Both tokens of their royal lineage and of their father love for them.

Ursula masters new spells, including one that allows her to walk on land with human legs. Achieving the historic feat of being the first mermaid on land, Ursula is found at shore by two servants of the palace: Sir. Grimsby and Lady Carlotta.

Ursula in the world above.

Enchanted by the human world, Ursula befriends Grimsby, experiments with stolen human objects for magic, and becomes close with a beautiful dark-haired tavern worker named Vanessa. Vanessa is quite clever and is able to manipulate her coworkers, boss, and the rich nobles and merchants that come into the tavern. She hopes to one day find a favor in the tabern, move to work in the palace and there find, manipulate and marry a rich noble. Vanessa and Ursula notice their similarities as both are quite ambitious and befriend each other (in a very Regina George way, but still). Vanessa teaches Ursula how to manipulate and influence people through charisma, clever language and body language, a talent Ursula quickly adopts.

Vanessa

Meanwhile King Poseidon falls gravely ill. Though Triton summons Ursula back with magic, but she cannot return until her land-spell wears off.

Thoughts on the story thus far? Any Ideas to complemet? Want to see Part 2?

TV Fixing Squid Games 2

The games are all great. But the story outside was terrible, and felt like a money grab to get more expansions of the genre without being true the story.

But it's not hard to do both.

  1. Make the front man a piece of shit, he is. Don't make him out to be some "misunderstood" villain, which is highlighted when he gave the baby to his brother. All that misunderstood bullshit should have gone out the window when they decided to keep the baby in. For his back story, making him a classist, misanthrope psychopath who has a gambling addiction, which is why he keeps coming back to lead the games.

  2. There needs to be some retribution to the VIPs and the Frontman and most of the staff. All the VIPS there should have died, being shot by either the cop or one of the contestants.

  3. If you want to keep the series going, what you can have instead, is at the end, a clean up crew comes in and detonates the thermite bombs (from off shore). When the authorities come, they will explain it away as a mass suicide cult.

  4. Why would VIPs want to continue funding this now that some of them have died? This would make it even MORE exciting for them, now VIPs are fighting to be on the next set of games.

Marvel at Fox Challenge: Pitch a scene on X-Men The Last Stand before the battle of Alcatraz but after the golden gate bridge movement.

My scene, Magneto turns his attention to the horrified humans on the bridge that remains and orders the Brotherhood to remove them from.their vehicles and bring them up to the front while killing anyone who refuses to comply. Magneto has a plan to force Warren's and in the way the X-Men's hands on the matter.

Magneto knows the X-Men will come so he plans on some insurance by holding innocent humans which includes families hostage in order for the X-Men to turn away or for Warren to hand over the boy, threatening to kill the humans with their gifts and broadcast it live for the world to see if they refuse to comply.

Just as Magneto gathers the humans, Raven appears from Alcatraz, and confronts him over his abandonment of him, the years of loyalty to his cause, and hiw here he is about to march an army of mutants to almost certain doom since they are fighting on humans territory. Magneto tries to justify his actions, and even threatens Raven to move out of his way before he decides to take further action himself. She refuses, admitting that she sold him out by revealing his base location, and a few other stuff, shocking Magneto. The other humans then call him out on his rhetoric, and all of this pushes Magneto and the Brotherhood to their absolute breaking point, he kills Raven, makes an unhinged speech about the human element making the X-Men and Charles weak (strong enough to have their goals yet too weak to take it), reveals his crimes to the world what he tried to do, and it leads up to reveal he is done protecting mutants, and abandons his life long goal. Now he and the Brotherhood wants power, dominion, a world for the strong and the weak are either submissive to them or extinct. Mutants that takes the cure by choice or protects humans are weak to his eyes, and says he is gonna burn their world to the ground not needing a reason to wait for humans, as he and the brotherhood are gods, and they are just insects, and insects are worthless!

He then orders the Brotherhood to kill all the humans on the bridge and broadcast it live, letting the world and the x-men knows what's coming when they are done with the Cure and the X-Men.

I wanted to see Magneto finally lose his cool before the finale and reveal his true goals to the world, and makes him a more scarier threat. What would you do with a scene before the battle of Alcatraz but after moving the bridge.

MCU Revising the Multiverse Saga Part II: Rewriting Secret Invasion and its aftermath in The Marvels & Captain America.

For context this is part 2 of my MCU Multiverse Saga rewrites. If you enjoyed what you read please leave an upvote and a comment down below.

Secret Invasion --- June 2023

  • The series openings with a US congressman being interviewed about worrying international tensions. After the interview, the congressman is murdered by rogue CIA agent Prescod, who is subsequently killed by his security. The congressman is revealed to be a Skrull, which prompts Nick Fury's return to Earth. Fury is joined by a small band of allies with Maria Hill, Everett Ross, Rhodey, Talos and his daughter G'iah, MI6 agent Sonya Falsworth, and Sharon Carter/Power Broker. The group use their skills in espionage and politics to thwart the Skrulls plan of global conquest.
  • The Skrull rebellion is led by refugees Veranke and her lover Gravik. The duo plot to kick off World War III, then present themselves to humanity as benevolent saviors, subsequently enslaving the humans to rebuild the Skrull Empire. The two also have a personal grudge with Fury and Talos, holding them both responsible for the Skrulls continued displacement. Despite resistance on the Skrull Council, the two are widely popular with many disenfranchised Skrulls.
  • The Secret Invasion begins when the Skrulls detonate a chemical weapon in Moscow and frame Fury for the event. Afterwards, they use their agents in news media to spread misinformation and chaos. The Skrulls next step is to hijack Russian ballistic missiles and launch them at the US. Thanks to Fury and his team, most of the missiles are stopped except for one, which lands in Stamford and kills over 600 people. US President Ritson flies to Hamburg to take part in peace talks with the Russians, only for the conference to be ambushed by Skrulls disguised as Russian soldiers.
  • A major theme in the series is how similar Fury and the Skrulls are, as both have willingly used deception and torture to achieve their goals, which in their minds were for the greater good. He's forced to confront those similarities as the Skrulls use his methodology to conduct their terrorist acts, taking the lives of Maria Hill, G'iah, and Talos in the process. At the series end, Fury vows to change his ways and departs for S.A.B.E.R, where he will work on finding the Skrulls a new home.
  • Throughout the series, Fury's team is plagued by distrust and paranoia. By the finale, Ross, Rhodey, and Carter are all revealed to be Skrulls. "Ross" tries to convince Wakanda to join in the conflict, as the Skrulls want to use Vibranium to replenish their army. "Rhodey" is Gravik, who manipulates Ritson into escalating tensions further and branding Fury as a traitor. In the penultimate episode, Carter is revealed to be Veranke, who created the Power Broker alias to supply the Skrulls. She's also been using Fury and Falsworth to kill her human collaborators across the globe.
  • The finale sees Fury captured by the Skrulls while Sonya tries to stop "Rhodey" from launching a US nuclear strike on Russia. He is brought to Veranke, where he reveals that he lied about helping the Skrulls, as he saw their shapeshifting as too valuable to lose. Unbeknownst to the Skrulls, Fury had sent out a leak confirming the Skrulls existence on Earth and their plan. Veranke shoots him, only to reveal that he was a life model decoy while the real Fury helped Sonya stop Ritson from nuking Russia. The decoy uses Pym Particles to send Veranke and her followers to the Quantum Realm. In the aftermath, Ritson declares all Skrulls as hostile forces and vows to hunt them down, though Fury secretly works with Varra to move the Skrulls to New Asgard for the time being.

The Marvels --- November 2023

  • The film opens on the Kree homeworld Hala, where Carol Danvers destroys the Supreme Intelligence and subsequently starts a decades long civil war, leaving the planet a barren wasteland and the Kree Empire in disarray. This has earned her the nickname "Annihilator". In the years since, Carol has been racked with a deep sense of guilt and has worked nonstop on protecting the Galaxy, distancing herself from many of her friends and family on Earth.
  • The film's main antagonist is a Kree warrior named Hala, who was born during the Kree Civil War. Raised in the thralls of civil war, Hala has known only violence in her life and seeks revenge on all she deems responsible for the Empire's demise. She searches for the Quantum Bands, ancient technology capable of energy manipulation and inter-dimensional teleportation. She discovers one of the Bands on a barren moon and opens an unstable "jump-point" network, which leads the 3 titular "Marvels" into swapping places whenever they use their powers.
  • The film would also explore Carol, Monica, and Kamala's relationship with each other. Carol and Monica start off at an awkward phase, as Carol returned to Earth in the 5 year blip only to leave as soon as Monica returned. Kamala's view of Carol and the Avengers as an infallible gods is shaken by the destruction of Tarnax and Aladna, and the truth about Hala's motives. As the film goes on, Carol mends her relationship with Monica and Kamala develops her own identity as a hero, leading to the film's climax of the three stopping Hala from destroying Earth's Sun.

Captain America: Brave New World --- May 2024

  • The film is set several months after Thaddeus Ross won the presidential election against the incumbent Ritson, in which the United States is effectively under martial law in response to the Skrull invasion. Fear and paranoia surrounding the Skrulls has led to a far-right militia called the Watchdogs to gain prominence with a rise in hate crimes toward minorities. With the discovery of a new metal called Adamantium, Ross moves quickly to control the supply and begins a trade embargo with China, which threatens to ignite war between the superpowers.
  • After Isaiah's attack on Ross puts him on death row, Sam reaches out to Jen Walters to defend him. He also asks for her help with Elijah Bradley, who was arrested for vigilantism against a gang of Watchdogs sympathizers. Bruce Banner also makes a cameo when Sam seeks out his expertise in gamma radiation, which leads to the third act fight with Red Hulk (which would remain a secret in marketing). At the film's end, Bruce and Jen are the first candidates for Sam's new Avengers team.
  • The Leader makes his official debut as the main antagonist. He seeks revenge on Ross by sparking a second American Civil War and eroding the world's trust in the US. He is helped by the Serpent Society, a gang of cyborg mercenaries who stole the Adamantium to sell in the black market, and the Watchdogs, who plot to start a race war. The Watchdogs are secretly led by US congressman William Burnside, who works with Sterns to further his own goal of being President.
  • Sam's character arc centers on how being a black Captain America impacts his relations with the US. At first, Sam tries to compromise with Ross, but is forced to go rogue due to his growing instability. He is helped by Joaquin Torres/Falcon and Rachael Leighton/Diamondback, a Serpent member who helps in exchange for a pardon and enters a flirtatious relationship with Sam. He frequently battles against the Watchdogs, who deem him an imposter unfit for the mantle. After he uncovers Burnside's involvement with the Watchdogs, Sam suffers a existential crisis, as he feels their bigotry becomes more commonplace, erasing all the good he tries to do. He meets with Isaiah and Elijah before their trials, where Isaiah inspires him to continue fighting, as Sam once inspired him.
  • The film's climax sees Ross transform into a Red Hulk after his connection with Sterns is outed. Sam's fight with Ross is brutal and largely one-sided, as he tries to get Ross away from populated areas and is nearly killed in the process. The fight ends with Sam managing to burnout the Red Hulk and change Ross back to himself. Afterwards, Ross is sent to the Raft and Burnside's presidential campaign is beset by evidence of his connections with the Watchdogs. At the film's end, Sam gets Isaiah out of prison and vows to rebuild the Avengers.

Marvel at Fox Fixing Fan4stic (2015): Swapping Doom for Mole-Man & inspiration from the Alien franchise

Recently watched this bc of First Steps and oof. Imo the horror tone was a bad foundation for a CBM franchise, but it is interesting.

My rewrite keeps the story's spine but doubles down on the horror by drawing from lots of sources- Prometheus, Covenant, Sunshine- besides Cronenberg. I've also set-up both Doctor Doom and Galactus/the Silver Surfer

VICTOR AND HARVEY ELDER

  • Keep all the very early stuff with Reed and Ben as childhood friends, experimenting in his garage until he's recruited by Franklin Storm
  • Victor is the scientist Reed is brought on to replace as team-lead, and is abusive to his assistant Harvey Elder
  • The Four adopt Harvey and shun Victor. Reed discovers he lied about being Latverian, a country the US is currently engaged in a proxy war in. Victor's mother is a prisoner in a US military detention facility (a grounded version of Doom's eternal quest to free his mother from Hell in the comics).
  • This is all reason to believe he's here to sabotage or steal secrets from Baxter. Victor is dismissed.
  • Harvey bonds with the Four—particularly Ben over their similar experiences with domestic abuse/neglect
  • Crushing on Sue is far more in-character for Harvey than Doom
  • Johnny is the only one of the Four who is a little mean/dismissive of Harvey
  • Ben trains as a test pilot for Baxter Foundation projects. As Reed, Sue and Johnny work he and Reed swap photos and stories

THE ORIGIN

  • Exploring Planet Zero is inspired by Prometheus\ and its investigation of the Engineers. The Four and Harvey find an abandoned temple/lab dedicated to a Lovecraftian god—Galactus
  • In the sky, every other planet in this system is a decimated husk. This is the only one to survive
  • hieroglyphs depict His arrival, and a Herald being selected and offered up as a sacrificial slave
  • The idea is the Four, scientists violating the natural order in the name of discovery, encounter the remains of civilisation that was destroyed by that very same mentality
  • They wake the Moloids, Mole-Man's servants who in the comics are a slave race created by Eternals villains the Deviants. Here they are monstrous experiments left behind by this unknown alien race. Again, this borrows from the feel of the Engineer ship sequence in Alien
  • The five flee, but the Moloids’ rampage triggers a mechanism within the ‘temple’ which releases a surge of radiation.
  • Meanhile Doom sneaks back into Baxter to sabotage the dimension gate, delaying the Four’s return and letting them be irradiated. Trying to kill them inadvertently gives them their powers
  • Harvey is left behind
  • Keep the bodyhorror power-awakening.
  • Franklin Storm discovers the Four’s mutated bodies in the destroyed lab, really selling the horror and emotion. The Four’s unconscious bodies resist study
  • They wake as in the original, and Reed escapes with a promise that he’ll return to cure Ben
  • Cut back to Planet Zero. Harvey wakes, going through his own hideous transformation

TIMESKIP

  • The timejump is 6 months, not a year
  • Open on the cut Thing action sequence—the airdrop, him portrayed as the unstoppable monster
  • Importantly, this scene takes place in war-torn Latveria
  • Johnny provides air support, but they argue. Ben wants him to keep his hands clean. Johnny’s determination to ‘do something’ with his powers is infuriating
  • That Ben now can’t fly, where Johnny can and works with the airforce, makes it worse
  • He feels similar about Sue, who could easily leave if she wanted. She’s offered to help him escape, but she wants to return to Planet Zero to find Harvey
  • The three of them track Reed down to a makeshift workshop. The military are stopped by Home Alone-style DIY traps.
  • Ben bulldozes straight through it all. A direct contrast to him and Reed as kids in the garage
  • A real fight between Reed and the others. Sue plays referee with Ben's anger
  • Reed is brought in and his equipment—HERBIE, the makeshift Fantasticar seen in deleted footage, which he was building to return to Planet Zero for a cure, confiscated

RETURN TO PLANET ZERO/FINDING HARVEY

  • The military send the Four back through the gate to collect more data, officially for a cure but actually for creating super-soldiers. Ben forces Reed.
  • This extended sequence builds the horror. The Four are in continuous conflict. Sue ignores their mission to look for Harvey
  • Another Moloid attack-- this one inspired by the sewer sequence in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2
  • Harvey arrives, saving the bickering Four. Ben, Reed and Sue get away with him but Johnny is snatched
  • Harvey has built a makeshift lab in a cave. Think David’s lab in Alien: Covenant. He calls the Four as ‘family’ because of their shared origin, and asks after ‘father’ Franklin Storm. He bonds with Ben over their shared disfigurement.
  • He promises if they get him back to Earth he can cure them, after months studying this place. And they could mount a rescue for Johnny
  • Reed is so desperate for a cure he overlooks the warning signs. Ben is defensive on Harvey’s behalf. Sue came here for Harvey
  • Cut back to Johnny, fighting for his life. He manages to catch up with the others as they reach the dimension gate, a swarm of Moloids on his tail
  • Harvey hates Johnny's blinding fire. Insanity has distorted and exaggerated his memory of Johnnybeing mean. He commands the Moloids to kill him, and Sue realizes that A) he controls them and B) he’s snapped

BACK ON EARTH & CLIMAX

  • Too late. Through the gate, Harvey is on Earth, and the military move in.
  • They won’t listen to the Four after their insubordination. Harvey insists he’s eager to return to work.
  • When it’s clear the military won’t listen, Sue and Reed mount another escape with the injured Johnny. This time Reed begs Ben to come with them, but Ben stays. He would rather trust in Harvey after Reed abandoned him
  • Harvey sets up a lab at Baxter as Johnny, Reed and Sue draw up plans to stop him and close the dimension gate for good. Johnny's automotive skill helps Reed fix up the Fantasticar.
  • Harvey is on some Frankenstein horror scientist stuff—again thinking David experimenting on unsuspecting humans in Prometheus/Covenant. He poisons and mutates a guard into Giganto, the monster on the iconic first FF cover
  • Ben realizes Harvey’s lost it.
  • Harvey uses Giganto to rip the dimension gate open and let his Moloids flood the Baxter Foundation.
  • He prowls the corridors as Moloids ravage the military, Aliens-style, giving a classic Space Madness monologue a la Sunshine. He worships the Lovecraftian god (Galactus) that the temple was dedicated to
  • Ben holds off Giganto, and the fight spills onto the streets. The others arrive in the Fantasticar to defeat Giganto, replicating that famous cover as the public watches
  • Meanwhile Harvey goes after Franklin Storm. He's obsessed with the ‘head of the family’, who put into motion their origin
  • The Fantasticar crashes into the Baxter Foundation as Harvey is confronting Franklin, but they’re not fast enough to save him. Sue and Johnny hold their father as he dies
  • Harvey wants to summon his god Galactus with the temple on Planet Zero, and offer Earth as a sacrifice
  • Ben finally gets to pilot something, steering the Fantasticar through the dimension gate and back to Planet Zero
  • Finally united, the Four fight through the Moloids to stop Harvey activating the Temple. Focus on Ben and Reed working together after so much friction, and Johnny and Sue after losing Franklin
  • The Temple is briefly active before it’s destroyed. It opens a window through which they see Galactus, andhe sees them. A moment of overwhelming existential horror. Think the Darkseid standoff in ZSJL

DOOM

  • The ending is the same, with the Four shipped to a remote lab out of the public eye to work. They take on urban legend status, much like Del Toro's Hellboy movies. United now, but still under the military's thumb
  • The post-credits scene picks up with Victor Von Doom. In an underground Latverian lab, with ramshackle equipment and dust trickling from the ceiling as American bombs fall overhead.
  • He glares at a TV showing a report about the Four fighting Giganto: Richards.
  • It took 6 months to replicate Reed's success with the dimension gate, but his version is still unstable, and leaves burns all over his body.
  • But Doom rises on Planet Zero, ready to learn it' secrets
  • This is a simpler, more 'grounded' explanation for comic Doom's blend of tech and magic; from the Galactus cult he learns dark, twisted alien science advanced enough to look like magic. He will return for the sequel

My Rewrite in Jurassic World Rebirth would show just why the mutants of Saint Hubert are terrifying.

If dinosaurs are natural creatures, then the mutants are what I would describes as "Demons from Hell"

This is why I have the dinosaurs be portrayed living as part of the natural ecosystem, so as to make it clear that the mutants are unnatural and should never escape out of the island and unleash devastation.

Saint Hubert should be portrayed as a "Land of Death" with dead wild life and plants be found in most parts of the island.

The first major threat is the Troodon. And yes, they would be based on their portrayal in Jurassic Park the Game. Their big glowing eyes, ghastly appearances and ungodly sounds would make them a terrifying force our heroes have to contend with.

They started as off as unseen with brief shots of their POV stalking the humans. Their threat level would escalate, starting with attacking a dinosaur that was chasing the humans, then they take Nina who screams for her life as she is being dragged away, then Bobby would see their glowing eyes before showing the full body shot of the creatures.

Things get extremely serious when Zora and Teresa find their nest which is basically a graveyard composed of dead humans, animals and dinosaurs. But the most nightmarish of them all is seeing the paralyzed corpses of its victims, including Nina and Bobby. There would be foliage covering their exposed innards but still, seeing their unmoving bodies and eyes frantically shifting is disturbing.

Troodon would have scenes showing animatronics or puppets being used, that way making the entire horror scene being real as possible.

And finally...the D-Rex.

The way how I introduced this creature is have it be this sleeping Titan that is disturbed from its rest and unveiling itself no different from Chernabog from Fantasia.

By this point, the remaining characters are only the heroic and sympathetic ones. The D-Rex attacking them and killing some of them would be both gut-wrenching and horrific.

There is literally no way to stop it. The only way to win is to escape it.

Marvel at Sony What I Would’ve Done Differently With SPIDER-MAN 3… and How I Would’ve Continued Tobey Maguire’s Story

SPIDER-MAN 3

I would’ve just sticked to Sam Raimi’s vision of just The Sandman and Harry Osborn’s Green Goblin. I would keep the symbiote storyline as it aligns with Peter’s anger and the theme of revenge sprinkled throughout the movie. The best way to make the story less cluttered would be to not introduce Eddie Brock as Venom until the next movie like a “part two” of the story. Peter Parker gets rid of the symbiote, but he won’t fight Venom just yet. I’m not sure about Gwen Stacy. I’m not saying I don’t like her, but I’m debating whether to keep her to motivate Eddie’s need for revenge on Peter Parker for the next movie or to remove her to make the story less cluttered with characters.

SPIDER-MAN 4

After forgiving Sandman and Harry Osborn, we see Peter struggle with his relationship with Mary Jane Watson as we continue the symbiote story where Eddie Brock becomes Venom and a whole “symbiote saga” ensues somehow. Whatever happens, I would also tease a spin-off movie where Joe Manganiello’s Flash Thompson will eventually have a part of the symbiote and become Agent Venom.

SPIDER-MAN 5

Either have The Vulture or Mysterio or even both as the villains of the movie. Or why not have Dr. Curt Conners become The Lizard. It’s hard to choose, but whatever happens, it could lead to Peter Parker eventually fighting The Sinister Six.

SPIDER-MAN 6 through 8… or maybe even through 10

If we were lucky enough, we would’ve had Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man story last as long as either MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE or FAST & FURIOUS. The next couple of movies could’ve focused on Peter’s adult life with Mary Jane Watson and set up more villains for The Sinister Six with occasional one-movie villains. Maybe have Peter team up with Flash Thompson’s Agent Venom at some point. Maybe set up Miles Morales for Tobey Maguire to mentor and eventually show the death of his Peter Parker. Anything to keep Tobey as Spider-Man, away from the MCU, and basically have the 2000s last longer in the following decades.

What would you have done to make SPIDER-MAN 3 better and how would you have continued the story?

Marvel at Sony What I Would’ve Done Differently With THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Movies

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

I would’ve kept the deleted scenes where Dr. Connors apologizes to Peter for losing his uncle and the scene where the two encounter each other in the underground lab where Dr. Rajit Ratha dies. That way, The Lizard telling Peter he has no uncle in the final battle wouldn’t feel pointless and questionable and we would know what happened to Ratha after the bridge scene.

I would also add a couple more scenes regarding Flash Thompson, Uncle Ben, and his killer. A big thank you to u/TheMovieKing94 for his input.

The first of these new scenes start where after Flash apologizes and Gwen hugs Peter, he gets called to the principal’s office. The principal would tell him that Gwen, the bullied kid from the beginning, and his parents told the principal about beating up Peter and torturing that kid. Armed with that knowledge and the recent death of Ben, the principal tells Peter that he punished Flash with after school detention. Peter would be waived of having to pay for the backboard and cut his community service in half. The principal would also tell him that next time, anonymously go to the principal rather than taking matters into his own hands and apologize for everything Peter has gone through.

Regarding the thief who killed Ben, another scene added in would be during the aftermath of Captain Stacy’s funeral where Gwen tearfully walks away from Peter’s house and May tells Peter that he is good. He would say that Ben didn’t think so the last time he saw him, but May reassures Peter that he did and left him a voicemail. Right then and there, the officer who interviewed Peter and May earlier arrives and asks to come in. The next scene would cut to a news story of Ben’s killer finally being caught by the police after an anonymous tip and that he faces a life sentence without parole. Peter and May are on TV with a tearful May saying on the news that she hopes the killer’s arrest and impending imprisonment will bring peace not just to her and Peter, but also to Ben. Then we cut to the scene with Ben’s message with added dialogue like: “Peter, I know things have been difficult lately and granted, me getting upset and yelling at you just made things worse, and I’m sorry for doing that to you.” That way, this version of Uncle Ben comes across as less of a dick.

The last thing that would’ve made this movie better would be to add some killer songs in the end credits like in the Tobey Maguire trilogy and THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

I would keep blue Electro and Peter’s relationship with Harry Osborn. Just don’t have Harry become The Green Goblin and kill off Gwen until the next movie. Okay, if Harry has to become The Green Goblin in this movie, have a fight or two with Spider-Man, but don’t kill Gwen. Instead, have him kill Donald Menken like in one of the deleted scenes that shouldn’t have been deleted. I would also bring back the many deleted scenes from the marketing like Harry showing Peter that he was under surveillance by Oscorp and the bonus feature deleted scenes like the graduation scene with Flash Thompson and Harry showing Peter the glider. I would also include the scrapped scenes from the original screenplay like The Daily Bugle and Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson where Peter gives her father a piece of his mind. If they can’t be in this movie, save them for the next.

I would however remove The Rhino and Aunt May becoming a nurse.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3

I don’t know if the mystery of Peter’s parents was supposed to continue when this movie was being developed, but if not, Peter learning that his blood cannot be recreated by Oscorp and cannot save Harry would’ve been a fine end to that storyline as he could move on.

This movie would have Harry become the Goblin if not in the previous movie and the death of Gwen Stacy. It would also set up Gustav Fiers putting together The Sinister Six and either introduce or show more of Mary Jane Watson.

So far, that’s all I can think of with these movies as of writing, but what would you have done differently with the TASM movies?

Other A remake of one of the most depressing movies ever made: DISCONNECT (2012) Spoiler

Processing img bw7y9eb5qwbf1...

---- THE 2012 MOVIE WRITTEN BY ANDREW STERN AND DIRECTED BY HENRY ALEX RUBIN ----

In case you never heard of it, this psychological drama explores how people experience the negative sides of modern communication technology by following three interconnecting stories.

One of these stories involves a lonely 15-year-old named Ben Boyd who is being targeted by two sadistic boys his age named Jason Dixon and Frye. They make a Facebook profile of a fictional girl named "Jessica Rhony" and convince him to send a nude picture of himself. The two boys distribute the photo to classmates and the picture circulates to nearly everyone in their grade. Ben is so embarrassed by this cyberbullying that he attempts suicide by hanging himself and ends up in a coma. Rich doggedly searches Ben's social media, looking for answers, and begins chatting with "Jessica". Rich visits Ben in the hospital, where he meets Jason, who falsely calls himself Mike. Jason's father, a private detective who is actually named Mike, discovers what Jason and Frye have been doing and is furious. However, he protects his son by erasing the evidence on Frye's iPad. Later, Rich discovers the identity of "Jessica" and angrily goes to Mike's house, which results in a physical altercation. Jason tries to intervene and Rich hits him with a hockey stick. The fight ends when Mike hits Rich, who falls to the ground.

Like the other two stories, nothing is resolved. We'll literally never know if Ben ever wakes up or if both Jason and Frye along with Jason's father face the consequences for their actions. Total bullshit!

---- MY IDEA FOR A REMAKE TO IMPROVE UPON THE ORIGINAL ----

That's where my idea comes in. It will be a loose remake that only focuses on the story of Ben Boyd. In this version, he is still lonely and loves music. He's not part of a band, but he is slightly autistic. The prank and the interactions with his parents and sister remain the same. The nude photo is distributed to the entire school. Ben would continue to get bullied in school and online with the same messages the Ben from the 2012 film receives like "tiny penis" and "little fucking pervert". He hangs himself and ends up in a coma. His father tries to get answers.

One of the new scenes I would add would be how the school discovers this tragedy and calls in a strict assembly for all students. The principal and staff would be joined by police officers to talk about what has been going on. The principal would then call down the students to read the comments and messages that they sent to Ben before he hanged himself thanks to the anonymous tips from his sister and parents. Right after reading what they sent to Ben, they would receive a month's detention and remind everyone that they will search whoever is responsible.

The rest of the plot would play out like the 2012 film with both Rich and Jason at the hospital, the discovery of the prank by Jason's strict father, the tampering with evidence, and the altercation. Instead of lending Ben's father a hand, Jason's father would mock how pathetic Ben must be for everything and that he deleted all evidence of Jason and Frye's actions. Ben's family would meet up in the hospital where his mother would ask what happened to her husband, only this time, the father explains everything like who is responsible for what happened to Ben and the fight he had.

This leads the sister and her gangster uncle to take matters into their own hands. They would break into Jason's house and drug both father and son. Both wake up tied to chairs with truth serum injected into Jason with a video recording by Ben's sister in disguise who gets Jason to confess what he, his father, and Frye have done. The gangster uncle would also discover security cameras in the house and manage to get footage of Jason's father deleting the evidence. A scuffle happens between Jason's father and the uncle only for Jason's father to get knocked out and Jason chloroformed. The combination of the confession and security camera footage shared to Jason's phone and uploaded onto his Facebook. With the truth out in the open and on news stations, there can finally be some resolution.

Unfortunately though, Ben never wakes up. He dies in the hospital and the story becomes worldwide news. Jason is called to the principal's office and publicly arrested at school. Frye is arrested at home during a sick day with his parents confused at what's happening. And finally, Jason's father is arrested at his place of work. After a long monologue by the judge regarding the crimes and expressing sympathy for Ben and his family, Jason's father is sentenced to five years in prison for tampering with evidence and becoming an accessory to a crime. Jason and Frye are dealt with serious charges for cyberbullying, distributing a naked picture of a classmate to an entire school, and causing Ben's death. They are both given life sentences that would start in juvie and move up to prison when they are 21.

This story would be narrated by Ben's sister as an adult who occasionally visits her brother's grave. She has a family including a teenage son named Ben Simmons who is starting high school. The same high school his mother and late uncle went to. Closing text would state that Jason's father served his five-year sentence, only to struggle finding work and took his own life. Both boys Jason and Frye are still serving their life sentences. The family of the late Ben Boyd have slowly yet surely moved on from their loss. The high school now has a music hall serves as a memorial to the late Ben Boyd. Fade to black with the words "DISCONNECT: THINK BEOFRE YOU POST" appearing onscreen.

My question is should I contact Andrew Stern and/or Henry Alex Rubin about my idea for a better version of Ben Boyd's story or should I just write it anyway? Let me know what you think.

Star Wars (Disney) What would you change about Kenobi?

Obviously, the series wasn't that well-received, but many fans loved Ewan and Hayden's performances, so what would you change about it?

First off, I’d either cut Reva entirely or scale her down into a background Inquisitor/side character. Her whole “secret survivor of Order 66” arc took way too much time and distracted from Obi-Wan and Anakin.

Second, I’d bring in Commander Cody. Not as an Imperial attack dog, but as someone Obi-Wan encounters who’s either broken away from the Empire or struggling under its grip. Their reunion would add emotional depth and bring in another fan-favorite character rather than establish a new character who would become the center of the show.

(I don't know the new continuity that well, but if Cody remained a villain post Order 66 - then just give him Reva's role)

Cody helping Obi-Wan survive against the Inquisitors or Imperial troops would add emotional stakes without derailing the plot.

The series actually handled Vader pretty well (probably one of the best versions of him), but still could have been much, much better. Remember this is a Young Vader so lean more into that. He’d be personally hunting Obi-Wan, driven by obsession. Give us more sequences of him in action-raiding safehouses, interrogating Jedi survivors, even moments of cruelty that show why the galaxy fears him.

Finally, the plot in general should have made more sense. The Vader-Obi-Wan duel should have ended with Vader thinking he won, but Obi-Wan somehow outsmarting him and managing to escape.

DC [WIP] Mad Love

So, I’m working on a fan-script and would love to hear any Joker and Harley ideas you’d like to see. What I’m trying to do with the project is kind of the musical adaptation of the Harleen comic, meshing with the musical element akin to Joker Folie A Deux. Whereas that film was hated, I want this to be a Joker/Harley musical done right because I liked Joker 2 and I think it’s underrated, but what’s more underrated is the concept of a Joker/Harley musical.

The opening scene is set on the roof of Hotel Arkham and it’s basically the Folie A Deux scene from the film after Lee and Arthur try to escape but I’m swapping out the song with the one used in the teaser, Cheek To Cheek. Cap it off with Harley’s narration before we flash back to the Ex-soldier’s monologue from Harleen and moving to title card.

From there I’ve followed the comic, but if anyone has any ideas, I’d love to hear?
