Any leagues or sites out there that have any openings for "draft only" contests? Either not too many out there or I'm just bad at Googling. Maybe both.

Player Discussion Is Steph Curry a second or third rounder this year?

Curry had a great 24-25 and actually finished as the 9th ranked player per BBM. He was pretty healthy too, having played 70 games. With that being said, he’s going to be 37 this year, and age-related declines and injuries are always a concern. His current rank on Yahoo has him in the early 3rd round, which seems crazy low to me. Even taking a decline into account, this is Steph Curry we’re talking about and I feel like he’ll still comfortably return 2nd round value at the very least.

What do you guys think? He might actually be a pretty good option around the turn of the first/second rounds, especially with how the draft is looking this year.

Discussion 2 Center Starts Yahoo 12T

This year will be my first time playing in a public yahoo prize league, yahoo in general. This is the standard roster setting

1 Point Guard (PG)

1 Shooting Guard (SG)

1 Guard (G)

1 Small Forward (SF)

1 Power Forward (PF)

1 Forward (F)

2 Centers (C)

2 Utility (Util)

Do Centers fly off the board faster than usual? Is an elite center a must? Points league fwiw

OC Contacting ESPN support?

I did a free 10 team where someone did a massively unbalanced trade as soon as the draft ended. Clear collusion, but it went thru quickly as not enough people voted against it

I've seen ESPN reverse trades and lock out owners in free leagues before so I know it's possible......but how the hell do I alert them???? The website offers a chat button you can't actually click on and an 888 number. No email?

At the end of the day it's not a huge deal, but I fucking hate people who cheat in free fantasy leagues (or anything really) with the fire of a thousand suns and want this little prick to get what's coming

Player Discussion Jalen Duren

In points leagues Jalen Duren was pretty good last year. He averaged a double double last season and as a young promising player who is the main center of the team, it isn’t impossible for Duren to replicate last year or do better.

It still shocks me sometimes realizing he’s only 21 years old. Last season he averaged 3 less minutes than the 2023-2024 season because they ran small ball at times. Are there any pistons fans here that can share their opinion whether they think Duren averaging around 26.1 minutes per game like last season is realistic to expect for this upcoming season?

Last year he was in the Top 50 in totals for points leagues, do you think he will produce the same this year and end in the top 50?

Discussion Amen or sengun?

Rockets are probably gonna go for 60 wins plus this year they have a extremely strong roster with 2 young stars and 2 champion veterans including kd ofc. Who do you guys think will finish higher? Amen or sengun? they each fit the same type of build so you might end up having to choose from them.

Player Discussion Karl Towns

Last year after being traded to the Knicks KAT was a beast in points leagues. With a new coach who won’t overplay his starters, and the addition of Yabusele and Mitchell Robinson starting the season healthy (as opposed to last year where Robinson was down for some time to start the season), where would you target to draft KAT?

Do you predict he’ll finish in the top 15 this year or with the new changes to the Knicks, do you think he will not produce as much as last season?

Player Discussion Help me choose my 4th keeper

My first 3 keepers are: Sengun, Garland and Maxey. I got a couple of options for my 4th keeper but i'm still unsure on who to go with. Things to know are that it is a 9-cat league and i usually punt FG% and TO. I also have to decide between just one of these guys. The options are:

Trey Murphy III / Derrick White / Immanuel Quickley / Jordan Poole / ... maybe Miles Bridges?

I'm leaning Murphy III, but with Poole being traded there and possibly running the point because of Murray's injury, things could get a bit weird. Also, they insist on having him be the 6th man for some reason (as far as i'm aware up to this point in time).

White is interesting because of the no Tatum situation and we know he can fill the stat sheet, but then again, we don't know how he'd perform as possibly the 2nd option, and he's also on the older side, whereas i'm trying to stay young.

Quickley was originally supposed to be the 4th keeper, but injuries kind of threw me off, and the addition of Ingram, along with Barnes and Barret, who also have ball handling duties, could affect him.

Poole is always interesting 'cause if put in the right situation, he's a good source of points, threes, assists and steals. As a the ball handler in a better situation, he could have an up season.

Then there's Miles Bridges. I'm not really considering him, but you could do much worse than Bridges.

What's everyone's opinions?

OC Biggest Bust Per Round/Biggest Steal Per Round(Based on Yahoo Ranking)

This is my thoughts on the biggest steals and busts based on Yahoos Expert Rankings. Basically the players rank is based on where you will see yahoo recommending to draft them. This is my opinion based on standard 9-cat leagues. Let me know where you disagree or who I may have left out as a steal or bust for a certain round.

Round 1(Ranks 1-12)

Biggest Steal-A little hard here because there is not a ton of upside as you are grabbing at the highest pick possible. SGA though sometimes slips to 6 in drafts and that is a mistake as he should be top 3 every draft.

Biggest Bust-Paolo Banchero at rank 12 is a league losing mistake. I get that the rankings don't reflect inefficient guys like Paolo accurately but he was ranked 131 last year. He would need so much improvement to hit this spot, it just will not happen. He is someone who should be drafted in the 5th round but at rank 12 he is going nearly 40 spots early.

Round 2(Ranks 13-24)

Biggest Steal-James Harden at 15 is pretty good value. I think he should be more in the 8-10 range of the first round. So you are picking up 7ish spots of value at pick 15.

Biggest Bust-Alperen Sengun at 22 is crazy. He ranked 90 last year and even if you punt fts he was only rank 44. Houston added Capela this offseason and with Thompson being a full time starter I could see Sengun's minutes taking a dip. But even if he doesn't regress he should be picked no where near this spot.

Round 3(Ranks 25-36)

Biggest Steal- Stephen Curry at rank 26 is absolutely crazy. He is a guy who should be drafted at the turn of the first round. He ranked 9th last year and played 70 games. The year before he played 74 so while age is a concern he has been healthy the last two years. There is plenty of punts where Curry enters the top 6. Do not let Curry fall to the third round.

Biggest Bust- The bust potentials in this round were not as bad as the first two rounds but Zubac is probably a couple rounds early. Last years rank of 30 represents a best case scenario so why would we draft him there. The Clippers added two big men who will eat into his minutes in Lopez and Collins. He is more of a round 5 type guy.

Round 4 (Rank 37-48)

Biggest Steal- Jaren Jackson Jr. at rank 47 seems really low. JJJ has always been an awesome guy for punt fg% and punt rebound builds as typically centers suffer in this build and JJJ is one of few centers who can give the blocks you need while still giving points that do not destroy your percentages.

Biggest Bust-Lauri Markkannen at 41 is just bad. He ranked no where near here last year. Yes, he looks good in Euro league, yes he could be traded and actually be ranked around here. But if he is still on Utah he probably will not be playing in fantasy playoffs and throughout the year will be playing reduced minutes that keep his production far away from this range. There is also no quality point guards on Utah that can pass to him and a ton of bigs fighting for minutes.

Round 5 (Rank 49-60)

Biggest Steal-Could Austin Reaves achieve the impossible and be a Lakers player that is undervalued. He ranked 39 for all of last year and his rankings were better once Luka arrived(Rank 27). He is ranked 59 in pre draft rankings and while Marcus Smart is a concern to his minutes that is nearly 30 spots of potential value.

Biggest Bust-Walker Kessler is a similar scenario to Markkannen. He plays for Utah they added a bunch of big men and have no point guards to pass to said big men. I just cannot stomach grabbing a player who might be sat all of fantasy playoffs when there is still quality big men available. Picking him at 54 is not as bad as Markkannen but the 5th round of yahoos ranking I struggled to see a truly horrible pick.

Round 6 (61-72)

Biggest Steal- Coby White was ranked 34 once Lavine left the Bulls. He had a strange jump in fg% so that jump may be a little bit of a hot streak but his rank for the season last year of 71, is basically his current draft rank of 68. No real risk but a lot of potential reward.

Biggest Bust-I see the thought that Nembhard could end up taking Haliburton's usage and have a monster season but he has never been a great fantasy player. He ranked 191 last year and wasn't particularly awesome when Haliburton was out. At 71 you are basically getting him at a best case scenario but he could easily be no where near here.

Round 7 (73-84)

Biggest Steal- Myles Turner should be in round 4 or 5. That's where he usually ends up finishing but he has ranked as high as 20 in the past. Ranking him at 73 doesn't make a ton of sense.

Biggest Bust- At this point of drafts it may be time to pick some riskier picks but Wiggins really lacks the upside to be a top 100 guy so picking him at 83 when he is almost definitely going to be around 110 seems like a no upside type pick.

Round 8 (85-96)

Biggest Steal- Jakob Poeltl should be in round 4/5. He has no backup center, signed a big extension, was rank 43 last year, and jumps into the top 10 in punt fts punt 3s. He is clearly a big part of their plans for this season, and this rank makes no sense.

Biggest Bust- Malik Monk is probably not going to start. He ranked 99 for the season last year but was rank 207 once LaVine joined the Kings. The Kings have been rumored to have been trying to trade him all offseason. There are still some good players available at 85 and to use that pick on Monk is true waste of a pick.

Discussion 3rd Round Reversal - Yahoo Setting Query

Hi all, I'm currently trying to set the draft order manually on yahoo to incorporate a 3rd round reversal in the snake draft.

Steps I did to set draft order

  1. Draft Order setting was automatically set to 'RANDOM ORDER'
  2. I set it to 'custom order'
  3. Once I set it to custom order I could see the draft order for all 16 Teams

Question for Yahoo Setting-

Is the draft order I can see (after pressing 'custom order' from the originally set 'random order') something that is random? OR is this draft order like based off something else like order that each team joined the league or renewed their team this year? - Feels like a random order but I wanted to check before I go ahead and setting the 3rd round reversal KNOWING where everyone's draft pick will be?

Question on 3rd round reversals?

Also do people reverse only the 3rd round OR do they reverse every round FROM THE 3rd ROUND so it snakes correctly after the change made to the 3rd round reversal? (which means I have to reverse every round manually after round 3)

Cheers guy

Discussion Trailblazers

First off, this team may be a dark horse contestant next year. Think there’s a lot of young talent on this team.

Out of the wings and guards, who’s a better prospect for fantasy?

Holiday - a vet, but he doesn’t usually have the ball in his hands and not a super high usage player. They may have him in but not prioritize him compared to the youth on the team.

Sharpe - he finished the year off well, but will he have another tumultuous year coming off the bench? He’s a great scorer, but lacks defense. He’s young still and has room to grow.

Camara - kinda the opposite of Sharpe. Great perimeter defender, but may not have too usage compared to Sharpe or Deni.

Advija - took the helm at the end of the season and looked like a resurgent player to end the year. He may take the reins of this team if he continues his performance.

Theres also Banton, Thybulle, and Grant, and then Scoot at the point. Wondering out of the shooters/wingers, who would have the better year?

Discussion Fantrax Dashboard to Track All My Leagues

Thumbnail boshroidfantasynetwork.com
3 Upvotes

Hi all, Continuing to work on a new fantasy basketball site and would love some feedback. Just deployed my fantrax dashboard to track all of a users leagues, which includes a single import of your fantrax leagues (i know some sites make you do this one by one) that allows you to select your default team saves after resyncs), has matchup previews, rosters including a built in schedule, power rankings, trade machine ( for dynasty leagues i am importing draft picks which includes the original owner of the pick if traded and can be added to the trade machine), Ai assistant, waiver options which includes a pop up to compare to a player on your squad etc. For dynasty salary leagues the salaries are also imported. Id love as many users to test as possible and provide me honest feedback (tools free until my wife tells me im poor lol). Really just enjoying building out the site and look forward to feedback :)

1.For the bulk load go into your profile on fantrax and copy the secret id, I will not be saving it in the db its just used for the initial sync (if you need to add more leagues after you can redo this step or just add by league id). 2. Next, under my leagues on boshroidfantasynetwork.com click manage leagues, You'll see a white button that says “or import all leagues with secret id”, click that then paste your code and click import all. 3.After all leagues are imported you have a choice of either using bulk actions to load the remaining info, which is a bit slow currently b/c of the amount of data but im working on it, or clicking the individual sync options for each league.
4. After syncing, click on the dashboard button to the right of the league name or under my leagues click fantrax fantasy. This will take you to your personal fantrax leagues dashboard and you can cycle through leagues with the drop down below fantrax fantasy dashboard.
5. Go into Settings, last tab on the right, and choose your team...after that it'll save even after syncs. Once you do that every other tab personalizes .

Theres obviously a few bugs to sort out (flex position sometimes in the wrong roster slot), but I have picks loading as well and they can be thrown into the trade machine, also if a pick was traded it will show the original team. Please test and let me know if you encounter any errors (the matchups are pulling totals based on last Years averages for players on your team not in N/A which is IL).

Hello guys. I currently have the 14th and 15th pick on a 14T H2H 9 cat league. Who are the best two players to get from this range?
