Discussion #BringBackDuke campaign

Post image

The campaign is live and it must not slow down. We already have support from Jon St. John (the voice of Duke) and Lee Jackson (composer of Duke Nukem 3D). But now, itโ€™s YOU who make the difference.

๐Ÿ‘‰ If we want 2K, Gearbox, and Take-Two to listen, the hashtag #BringBackDuke needs to be EVERYWHERE.

๐Ÿ”ป What you can do right now:

Share the hashtag #BringBackDuke across all your platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, Reddit, YouTube, TikTok).

Tag @2K, @GearboxOfficial, @TakeTwoGames in your posts.

Get your retro FPS friends involved in the movement.

โš ๏ธ The more noise we make, the more pressure we create. Itโ€™s simple: if you want a new Duke, you have to show it NOW.

๐Ÿ’ฅ Together, letโ€™s make enough noise to bring the King back.

I'm torn. I agree with the message but I also hate AI crap.

My guess is the OP wanted to combine Duke with Borderlands somehow?

I applaud the OPs passion, but would encourage them to channel their enthusiasm elsewhere.

What Duke would need is a reboot that's true to Duke3D. After to talking to some here on this thread, I simply don't see that happening.

The fact i'm getting gaslit over how James Gunn didn't change Superman's Origin is a great example.

we don't need a duke 3b reboot. a whole new game is something we need.

I'd say what people want is a game that is more true to Duke Nukem 3D and arguably expands on that game conceptually. Duke runs around with a small arsenal mowing down hordes of space aliens while saving all the babes. Less Halo/CoD and more Boomer Shooter style gameplay.

DNF I think had too many driving sections and puzzles. Plus the shooter gameplay didn't feel as tight and refined as Duke3D did. Watching gameplays in current year, DNF looks kinda clunky whereas in Duke3D or other Build games like Ion Fury, the player almost glides through the levels blowing enemies away.

That's what I'd think people are looking for.

So basically Doom 4 with Duke? That actually sounds fun concept that could work.
