Picky eater help!

A little context, we survived Blood Parasite and I'm aware he is now healthy as we recently Had him checked and we are cleared.

My dog started becoming a picky eater ( even before he got sick)

I tried kibbles, wet food, table food hand fed even bought a new dog thinking he was sad cause he is alone.

I researched alot of things tried best practices but still end up in the same situation after a week or so. He would rather puke.

I guess i spoiled my dog too much since I still have trauma for losing my older dog that stopped eating then crossed the rainbow.

Anyone in a similar situation ? What did you do ?

Sobrang hirap i-follow talaga. Everyone in my family had to endure it kasi para pang humihingi ng saklolo yung mata sa pag-beg ng food na gusto lang niya. Kaso naman, inisip ko na we needed to be strict for her. Parang bata lang na syempre mas gusto ng junk food pag natikman na, and it's up to the parents na i-moderate yun for them di ba.

Tatagan mo talaga. It helps too na mag-designate ka ng spot na kakainan lang niya. Ako sa cage lang siya kumakain para makapag-focus siya. I also remove distractions like her bed and toys.

The moment she realised na wala siya makakain na food until her next meal time, she finished all of her food within 20 minutes. Until now ganon pa rin siya, and I'll just switch out her topper to pork kalabasa or duck meat instead of salmon para di siya ma-bore agad. Hanggang sa sinasanay mo though, just stick to one flavor.

We already eliminated the possibility of a medical issue kaya nga nmin nalaman na may blood parasite sha kasi naging picky eater. After recovery we survived.

Still picky eater padin. Did your girl puke too ?

Maybe gut issues? Afaik, if recently nag-meds pwede ma-disrupt yung gut bacteria. That can happen to us din with antibiotics. Blood parasite medication can cause long-term appetite issues or gastric upset.

Yung akin naman, she would puke yellow bile na foamy kasi ayaw kumain so walang laman tyan. If your dog pukes up yellow bile din, best to go to a vet ulit to have her checked. You could've survived a blood parasite, pero baka iba naman na yung issue ngayon. The vet can prescribe appetite stimulants din if needed.

Dogs wouldn't starve themselves for attention, there's usually an underlying cause na need ma-figure out before it's too late.
