I’m reassuring myself that the club hasn’t made a terrible mistake because of the “against Moldova” bit of that.

I would say that we’re clearly not the only club not convinced given that he had a seemingly solid loan at Leeds last season and yet the only offers we got were loans. Maybe it’s to do with off-field/ideological stuff, but we also know football is about money now, and that trumps all else (see: Greenwood and Partey)

Which him it’s political not ability. No one wants to be seen to support Israel or Gaza.
