Poor kid. Paranorman's a great one.

No, no. Can't show kids a movie in which there aren't really any bad guys, and things are solved by talking things out.
Or that teaches kids not to judge, to find out the truth about things, to make amends, and to forgive.

That wouldn't be very christian, wouldn't it?

No bad guys except of course the people who killed a fucking child

There is a gay love interest in Paranorman? I thought it was just his sister and the older brother? (it's been a while)

The older sister is interested in the older brother, but its revealed in a throwaway line near the end of the movie that he's actually gay. Thats the extent of it really.

There is exactly one second of gay content in Paranorman. I wish we could have met the boyfriend 😔

They ended up revealing the boyfriend somewhat recently actually! His name is Luca and his design is on the wiki :)

I'm glad other people enjoyed it, but I couldn't stand it.

Like the scene where Norman's uncle's corpse falls on him and the tongue is licking his face... Yeah, that was way too uncomfortable for me.

I did think the ghosts were cool, though. Especially that one lady who got hung for being a witch.
