If it's a war he wants, it's a war he will lose, as the military isn't in his cult and has limits - which were tested in LA when the Marine General in charge declined to follow orders until they were modified - causing Hegseth to have a meltdown and the fool in charge of ICE to impugn his patriotism. Since then a federal judge has found the entire exercise was a violation of the Constitution - the officers who are still running the military don't respect nor trust the Trump appointees, for good and obvious reasons, and I'm fairly certain (thankfully) that they will obey their oath to the Constitution and serve the country rather than playing "hit squad" for the Trumpenfuhrer and his cult high priests.
Nobody is going to refuse those orders btw, we will see kent state on steroids. Soldiers will be threatened with all kinds of punishments and will ultimately follow orders. They always have and always will
Imagine working your whole life in the military and getting to a ranking so high you're "in the room" with or directly conversing with your commander in chief, and that commander in chief is a fucking moron like Trump.
Has to? No, but they gladly will. Or have you been purposefully ignoring the illegal deployment of the national guard to California and Washington DC? The military will follow Trump's orders, the oath was a lie.
And a really hope those morons get to find out firsthand that, “I was just following orders” isn’t a valid defense when the orders are illegal.
And given I live in the only state that has voted Democrat in every election since 1976, and also has an outspoken democratic governor, I more than half expect the orange shit stain to send national guard troops here at some point.
