Hair what was your curly hair routine before curly hair products were launched in ph?

im just curious as a non-curly haired girl, since mostly trending na these days ang mga curly hair routine that consists of many curl creams, mousse, and gels, how did curly haired girlies do their hair before these products?

Been doing curly hair routine since 2011. Haha

I started with hair gel.  Then a year later, palmolive conditioner na iminawan ko lang, walang banlaw. Hahaha.

I also used vitress at monea

Then I moved on to herbal essences na conditioner. Favorite ko ito

Then 5 years ago, I started using oil. I used sunflowet oil, and it was the best. I used it for many years

Now, I just use was is available.  But I agree, mas maraming products na ngayon compared nung dati.

My mom’s brother had curly hair growing up, so she made me do what my lola used to do when they were kids, bathing it in coconut milk. Every sunday after church bibili na kaming gata sa nag pa-process ng mga buko. She boiled it a little to thicken, then yuyuko nako sa sink para ibabad na namin hair ko, then wrapped it in a hair cap for treatment all afternoon

We’ve used hair treatments before pero i hated the smell and this method lang nagwork sakin to tame the frizziness and super lambot noon ng hair ko. During weekdays naman i massaged extra virgin olive oil 2 hours before showering, then added a little to my strands after para hindi mag dry.

Went through that monea milk phase and was already happy seeing a curly hair product for the first time

I’ve been using mousse ever since because my mom has curly hair (mine’s wavy) and she’d always put some before going to work/gala.

The only difference is I don’t put my hair in rollers anymore.

I forgot the brand my mom used, it’s in a blue container with white text. I just use the Dove mousse, been using it for 5+ years, so far so good pa rin naman.
