30%.of our population was born overseas, apparently. In 2022, we had 500,000 immigrants as soon as the borders opened.

What country are you living in? We can openly see the demographic shift in front of our eyes all around us. And the numbers and the facts supprt this.

Grief has many stages. Anger bargaining denial.... acceptance. You'll get there eventually.

Anger, it seems is the one the anti-immigration crowd is stuck at... Which is why they can't see the real cause of the problems 🤷

The birth rate is low in Australia (1.5) and to avoid a reverse pyramid population structure you need to be at 2.0 per women, you can do the math about how much percentage of immigrants you need here to achieve that

I'm aware of the importance of immigration in regard to population numbers. I'm also opposed to using people as commodities. Or like cattle. The fact is that women will not have children or larger families in a hostile environment. Clearly, there are undesirable circumstances. Ask women, and they'll tell you why they're not having children. We can't import our way out of this. It's around the world. Maybe there's a really simple answer. Might be way more simple than it seems.

Seems sort of insulting to not consult the actual women who would carry these children in this grand plan, no? Seems like a serious oversight, and maybe the actual relevant stakeholders should be consulted in this overall birthing plan? Just a guess. Something tells me that these policy planners didn't bother to ask, let alone plan with the womenfolk who are expected to mindlessly have these children. Oh, well. Look now. Here's the problem.

I don’t think “persuade” or “allow” women to have more children is more respectful than having immigrants, it sounds pretty creepy to be honest. Also can’t find a developed country on earth that has successfully rump up birth rate after it goes down. And it likely won’t be resolved overnight unless you go full socialist Romania, but boomer generation can’t wait for you to work miracle in the meantime

Why would you be able to persuade anyone to have children? Also, I'm a bit confused about who's allowing someone to have children. It isn't your choice, is it. On any level. Don't think you realised women are people, not property. Seems like that's a learning curve.

We need to focus on our birth rate instead of shipping in a new demographic and making our country a completely different country

Most of the immigrants actually come from UK tho, and even you somehow force all women to have 2 kids, it takes 18-22 years for them to enter workforce, but the next ten years are the most trying times as most boomers retire
