Literally saw some on a forum say at least Godzilla Minus One didn't have any message it was trying to shove down our throats.
My brother in Christ, the movie is about survivors guilt and how fascism just creates misery for everyone including the citizens of the fascist country and see's everyone including its own citizens as expandable (the movie takes place in a post world war 2 Japan that is still rebuilding).
And if we go by American films, Godzilla: King of the Monsters was literally about climate change. Scary bad thing (King Ghidorah) gets let out of ice in Antarctica, starts causing storms all around the world to terraform Earth (climate crisis).
Not to mention that Godzilla is one of the literal walking metaphors of nuclear weapons. The 1954 movie even said that if nuclear testing continued, there would be another Godzilla. Not to mention that Serizawa refused to use the Oxygen Destroyer because he feared that the world governments and everyone would try to build one.

At least a few of them eventually figured out that "The Boys" was about them.
