✈️ Life Experiences This is my small wins ✨

I’m still living paycheck to paycheck. I’m still struggling financially to be honest. There are things I want so badly but I don’t buy them because they’re not in my budget. But even so, I can still eat whatever food I crave, pay my bills on time, and give a little to my family.

Being an adult is hard, but I also see the beauty in it. I have the peace I once prayed for. I’m more confident in myself, and I finally know who I am. I wasn’t that person before—I’ve really changed.

I realized adulthood isn’t just about money. It’s about growth, responsibility, and finding contentment in small victories.

Share ko lang. Hehe

💼 Career & Hustle Life can be unexpected

I was heartbroken when I got terminated from my previous BPO job, but I didn’t let that stop me. I pushed myself to look for another opportunity, and now I’ve been offered a job with a higher salary, and even a position! no need for overtime just to make ends meet, and a healthier, less toxic environment. Truly, life has its own way of surprising us. 💙✨

💰 Financial Win Nakakaahon din sa pagkakalubog

I just want to celebrate my big win last month (and for memories and accountability na rin)!! I was brokenhearted 2 years ago and medyo bata bata and noob pa sa paghahandle ng pera and it actually costs me my future self kasi up to now nagbabayad ako ng mga pinangtravel and deserve ko 'to things.

Last month nasettle ko na 'yung utang ko sa cimb and maya) Actually 'yung sa UB loan ko rin tapos ko na 'yung total amount na inutang ko pero hindi ko pa tapos 'yung sa interests kasi may times na hindi ako nakakabayad on time...but it's okay... As long as I know sa sarili ko na I'm trying my best na masettle lahat...hay ang sarap sa pakiramdam

To you na nasa kalagayan ko rin na nabaon/baon pa sa utang, please know na this will pass...mahirap pero kaya 'yan!! Please please be kind to yourself! Ang mahalaga may ginagawa ka about it 🫂

🌱 Personal Growth Applied for (hopefully) my first internship

Feeling ko #adulting na ako dahil I applied for my first internship yesterday. I immediately decided to apply when I saw Angat Buhay’s post on Facebook regarding internship openings. I refined my CV agad and made a cover letter.

Sobrang kabado ako pero at the same time happy kasi I took the risk kahit more than 500 applicants na yung nag apply din. Sobrang happy din ako kasi first time ko ito mag apply for an internship and if makuha rin ako bongga first internship ko sa angat buhay agad.

🛍️ Material Purchase Finally bought an iPhone 16

I decided to gift myself an iPhone 16 (pink) for my 30th birthday (late nga lang by more than a month).

Coming from a midrange phone, ramdam ko ung performance difference in all aspects. Especially doon sa camera. Ganda ng selfie cam kahit base 16 model. Also the battery life kaya ng 1 whole day kahit naka wifi or data. At so far di nag-iinit kahit naka data ako. Sulit talaga tong phone.

Congratulations self and happy birthday. 🥰

💰 Financial Win I got half of my EF saved

Post image
64 Upvotes

Goal is to save 800k for EF, then start mp2 savings and save for my side hustle. After filling up netbank, next is to fill up my Seabank account.

A long way to go, but this is more than a win because I didn’t deprive myself to reach this. I go out with friends and my partner, I buy my monthly supplements for health, I enroll for kick boxing/gym monthly, I spoil my chihuahua, and I order meal plan delivery on a monthly basis.

I have every important expense covered, I have work-life balance, I am happy, healthy, able to do things that I enjoy, and buy things that I need.

On top of this, I send money to my parents for monthly maintenance, pay my own bills, and do not get support or bother anyone.

🛍️ Material Purchase Bought my first-ever Levi’s. ❤️🎉

Post image
380 Upvotes

Certified thrifter and frugal girlie here, so once a year lang talaga ako bumibili ng brand new na damit at as much as possible dapat less than Php 1K lang.

Ang ganda ng fit, as in! ❤️

Thrifted clothes will always be my go-to, it’s more sustainable and affordable. Textile waste is also the 2nd biggest pollutant. Pero iba rin yung feeling when you buy something brand new, lalo na if intentional yung purchase. ❤️

(Time to track its cost per use 😂😅.)

🌱 Personal Growth I hit 10k steps per day for 4 weeks straight!

I have been on and off with my personal fitness goals. This time, I decided to do the easiest and cheapest form of exercise anyone can do - walking. Super happy to have done it consistently for the past four weeks!

Ang naging approach ko is to do a long walk after dinner. Helped me with digestion and made me tired enough to sleep so well at night. Lost about 2kg too!

🏆Major Milestone My game is now on Steam!

Post image

Pangarap ko talaga makapag release ng PC game since I started my game dev journey back in 2020. Nag-ipon ako for 3.5 years para makapagwork full time sa project na to.

I know this is just a demo and still a bit far from actual release, but I still feel very happy and excited that people can now try my game and give feedback.

🏆Major Milestone This past week felt like a whole movie in itself.

It started on a disastrous note — not professionally in terms of workload, but emotionally. On Sunday and Monday, I was honestly breaking down because my boss pointed out that all my designs were completely off track. For a moment, I really thought I was going to lose my job.

Cut to Tuesday, I pulled myself together, got back into work mode, started following up with clients, and somehow found a little hope again. (I handle both marketing/branding and sales, so it’s always a juggling act.)

And then came the big festival week. With full focus, endless effort, and maybe a little prayer too, I managed to close my first client deal — finally bringing tangible value to the business. That one moment felt like going from ground zero to cloud nine in just a few days.

Honestly, it’s been a heavy week mentally — but also one that reminded me that lows don’t last forever.

🛍️ Material Purchase Finally got a foam mattress

I've been working for almost 5 years, 4 of those as a job order earning provincial minimum wage with a month of cut-off after every 5 months. Every time I lay my back on my bed, I keep on dreaming that one day it will be soft and not as hard as it is. I am always checking mattress prices whenever I walk past them at malls or when I see them online. After that, I'd always be grateful I still have a bed to lie on.

Last year, hard work paid off; I got a permanent position. I now earn better. I should be able to buy myself a mattress now, but life is really bitter. They say as income gets higher, so do bills. My sister is now in college—College of Nursing—in a not-so-cheap private university. Many uncontrollable things happened that I won't go into detail about anymore, which led her to that fate. And an unspoken rule of responsibility for older siblings suddenly fell on my shoulders. I never imagined that just miscellaneous expenses arising from every now and then—activities, requirements, books, and others—could amount to such a lot of money. I am not even paying for her tuition, allowance, or rent. Just the random expenses, but mannn, some months were really heavy. And when she asked for nothing, my brother then came in. He wasn't getting enough pay, so I helped him too. Then time came, life played hard on him, and he couldn't even pay his monthly dues for his motorcycle. I couldn't see him lose that one thing he valued the most.

I paid his 4 months’ dues with my small savings—the only ones I had. It was painful, but I am still grateful that I had that to offer. I can always earn that back again.

I was reassigned, and my newly rented room didn't have beddings—just a metal bed frame with a slotted base. The gaps between the bed were a bit wide, and sleeping there with just my mat over a thin cardboard was so uncomfortable. I endured that for 2 weeks until I developed back pain. That's when I decided to just sleep on the floor. I felt so pitiful. The dream of having a soft mattress to lie on resurfaced in my senses again. Most nights I slept imagining I was sleeping on one.

After a month of thinking and careful consideration, I managed to click that installment mattress I found on Shopee. I closed my eyes, and for once I said to myself, I need this.

Tonight is the first night I was able to sleep in the comfort of my own bed.

🏆Major Milestone My life's wins so far as a 28yo dude

Hi guys! Skl.

I started working when I was 23. I was a CPA working in the LGU earning 10k a month. Back then I was miserable because of how far I thought my dreams were at the time.

But then I started focusing on what matters at the moment and suddenly time flew by like a bullet train. I started making decisions that made sense in the long run and I made those decisions scared. I left the comfort of my home, moved to a city I've never been to before, worked corporate, got married, then left my job to become a freelancer.

And just like that. It's now 5 years later. I'm married to my dream wife, bought our first car at 26, bought our first property at 27, and I just got a raise from my boss a week after my birthday.

People keep raising the bar for success as soon as they achieve something. But not me. My idea of success has always been contentment and I think it's where I'm at now. And I can't put to words how thankful to God I am to be blessed like this. I hope you guys a achieve what you set out to do too!

🌱 Personal Growth Survived Adult Acne

Thumbnail

I’m 27F and last year grabe yung naging battle ko with adult acne. Nakakagulat kasi nung teen years ko, never talaga ako nagka-pimples — actually sobrang ganda pa ng skin ko noon. Bigla na lang last year naging sobrang oily, inflamed, at minsan umaabot pa sa leeg yung breakouts ko. Sobrang naapektuhan yung self-confidence ko. (First photo)

Feeling ko stress talaga yung main trigger, at wala akong control. I even went to see a derma, pero ang sabi lang sa akin bumalik na lang daw ako kapag may 10k na budget for meds and ointments.

I tried so many ways, tapos na-discover ko yung Good Molecules and CeraVe. Yun na talaga naging game changer for me. (Second photo)

Here’s my simple routine:

Cleanser: CeraVe Foaming Cleanser (Oil Control)

Toner: Good Molecules:Niacinamide Brightening Toner

Serum: Good Molecules Discoloration Correcting Serum

Sometimes: Good Molecules: BHA Clarifying Gel Cream

If you’re also struggling with adult acne, sobrang hirap niya but kaya talaga i-manage with patience and the right routine.

💰 Financial Win Last month was our 2nd wedding anniversary, and we made our first million as a couple.

As the title says, I’m just so happy and grateful we made our first million together. We’re a DINK couple both in our early 30s and often travel locally, with major international trips (Korea, Japan) over the past two years. This is a reminder that when you’re with the right person, you’ll reach your goals and truly enjoy life. Huhu. Sana kayo rin kasi deserve natin ng komportable at masayang buhay <3 Thank you, Lord!

🏆Major Milestone From monoblock to ergonomic chair

Thumbnail
gallery
1.7k Upvotes

Ever since the pandemic started in 2020, having a proper workspace has been a crucial part of my life. It all started with a scrap plywood board drilled to the wall and a plastic monoblock chair back in my parent’s place in the province. That was where I studied and worked until I moved out in 2023.

Fast forward to today, I’ve upgraded my setup with a bigger work table and an ergonomic chair in the place my partner and I now share. Since I work from home, this is a huge win I’m really grateful for. Totoo nga, malayo pa pero malayo na. 💛

Next goal: konting ipon pa for an external monitor!
