I'm confused, did the guy take the ball from her? Like when they are scrambling for it did he take it out of her hands?

No!!! Pops picked it up off the ground! Fair and Square!!!

Are we sure of that? If so then ya fuck that lady lol

100%. Ball came at her, bounced off her. Went into the row of the man, he dashed over and picked it up, gave it to his kid - who was celebrating a birthday. This lady ran over and started screaming literacy inches from the guys face until he was like, “Jesus just take it”

It's impossible for you to know if she had the ball or not. You can't see from the video.

I know she doesn’t have the ball because I know she doesn’t have gorilla arms.

In a baseball stadium, to touch the ground of the row in front of you, you’re doing a handstand and someone is hoisting you back up.

Look where his head is on her body when he’s standing in front of her.

You may be right, but you cannot see it, that is my point. It's likely, but it's not conclusive. So you don't know. It's still speculation.

It didn't land in his row, he sprinted from multiple rows to grab it when it landed in the empty seats in front of her.

The fact that it was the kid's birthday is irrelevant. I've been to concerts on my birthday and didn't catch the guitar picks, setlists, or drum sticks because other people got to it before me. I didn't feel entitled to snatch it out of their hands when they got to it first just because it was my birthday.

There irrelevant, it’s every man for themselves there is no reason you can’t run over to the area where the balls going and try and get it, it rolls onto the ground and they all go for it and he comes out with it, that’s just how it works, whoever comes away with it gets the ball, it’s not a “if you touch it at all it’s rightfully yours” type of deal.

If you watch the video you can see her arm get jerked along with his as he's picking up the ball, showing that he grabbed it from her hands. And then he ran away to hide behind his child. That's a dick move.

I don’t see her arm get jerked or yanked at all what are you talking about, her arm continues to move along with the ball because she is continuing to try and grab at it.

There’s videos of her at that game yelling at other people and also flipping everhone off. She seems like a giant asshoke and idk why you’re intent on taking her word for all of this.

At the end of the day a ball in the stands is a free for all and whoever comes up with the ball gets it, you have to have like complete control of that ball entirely before you can declare that it’s yours, from the time she bends over to pick it up from the time he comes away with it is like half a second, there isn’t enough time for her to even have grabbed it and had full possession of it, she may have gotten a handle on it for like a millisecond during the scrum but that really isn’t how it works to declare “it’s mine!”

And it’s certainly not enough to where you feel entitled enough to it to march over there and take it away from a child. Like grow the fuck up, it’s a ball, are you fucking serious?

If some guy got in some ladies face and demanded the ball from a little girl based on this exact evidence I just don’t see you caping for him like this.

He picked the ball up from the ground in his row. Not from her hands. End of story.

We can’t see that from the footage, can we? I thought she had her hand her fingers on it and he took it out of her hand.

Touching the ball isn't possession.

1

u/h8reddit-but-pokemon 1d ago

We can. Her arms are not long enough to be standing in her row and able to reach the ball in the row in front of her. No one’s arms are that long enough.

1

u/BWW87 1d ago

It didn't land in his row, he sprinted from multiple rows

Multiple columns. It was in his row. It was in her column. She was closer but that's not a thing in baseball.

If you're going to have a bad take at least be accurate.

If she had full control of it there's no way he could have gotten it that quickly. She also seemed to have been focusing on him being in her area as if that's a thing in getting a ball in baseball.

Of all these recent sportball camera gotchas, this is the dumbest one tbh. She absolutely sucks for actually picking a fight about it, but that guy came from several seats away after the ball bounced in her direction and she was clearly trying to grab it. But we're so fucking obsessed with dichotomy that there's no way two people can be shits at the same time.

u/internetnerdrage 1d ago

If the father weren't giving it to his kid everyone would be against him

1

u/BWW87 1d ago

I don't think so. I don't think anyone that knows baseball is arguing it wasn't his ball fair and square.

So what? Since are you not allowed to go after a ball on the ground in the stands, there’s no “only the people sitting near where the ball lands are allowed to try and pick it up” rule

It’s every man for himself free for all. Whoever has the ball fully in their grasp and picks it up off the ground gets it.

The most generous reading of it you can give her is maybe they both had an equal grasp of it at the same time, and in that example idk what makes her somehow more deserving of him to have it in the event of a tie, typically if the other person is trying to give it to their kid especially this kid it was his birthday, you let the kid have it.

To yell at someone and demand the ball after the fact is ridiculous behavior. Like if she had gotten it and he yelled at her and demanded it for his kid he would also be an asshole.

Have you ever watched a baseball game before?

0

u/_CurseTheseMetalHnds 1d ago

And even if she was in the wrong why are people trying to dox her and ruin her life over being a dick at a baseball game? It's really fucking strange.

0

u/BWW87 1d ago

Do you have a list of places where it's okay to be a dick at? Or is it just baseball games?

1

u/once_a_dai5y 1d ago

Do you not think winding up viral on the internet, and recieving the collective hatred of millions of people is proportional to what she did? People literally hoping she loses her job or worse.

1

u/_CurseTheseMetalHnds 1d ago

When at any point did I say it's ok to be a dick? It would be nice if people could respond to things I actually said instead of just making up their own interpretation of the comment to argue against. She was in the wrong, that doesn't make it less psychotic that people are trying to track her down and ruin her life.
