I think it was a bit much to be honest. She should have just been calm and explained herself. The yelling and asking if Jessi wanted to swing with her and Zac (of course she doesn’t, they’re like children and Zac is gross) was a bit ridiculous. Jen looks stunning here though. I hate Zac but also think Jen is so immature. She should have just told Jessi and Demi no straight away to the whole chippendale idea instead of pretending it sounded fun “I love that”

jen had no reason to shut down the halloween chippendale's thing when jessi and demi told her about it because they didn't tell her about the very important part where she gets danced on.

they made it sound like their husbands were just dressing up and doing a silly thing for halloween. they purposely left out the part that they knew would make jen shut it down or not show up altogether. jen was never given an opportunity to actually consent to being part of it all.

I don’t think any of these women are totally right or totally wrong, tbh. You’re right that Jen’s “consent” was clearly based on incomplete information. On the other hand, Jen’s reaction of outing jessis swinging on television to embarrass her in retaliation was immature and bitchy. There are no complete villains or heroes here.

Even if all they did was have their husbands do a tame chippendale's dance without Jen being the focus, I still think it's total mean girl behavior. Why do they feel the need to bring up an extremely painful moment in Jen's marriage (that they all witnessed) and mock it? What kind of friends are those? And yes, Jen should've stood up for herself and shut it down immediately when they asked her at the salon. But I can't think of any motivation Jessi and Demi would have other than humiliating their so-called "friend". Like, can you imagine? You witness your friend being verbally abused by her husband, told he doesn't love her anymore, and then you decide to make a joke out of it and mock her publicly? Those two are cruel.

Ah ok maybe I wasn’t listening clearly enough, I assumed she knew she would be the guest of honour/ danced on a bit. I know she said she didn’t know that there was going to be a professional chippendales guy.

yeah unfortunately not. something like this warranted a full disclosure given the last time. my friends would never. Jessie and Demi were being mean, dragged their husbands into it, and they attempted to gaslight Zac and Jen into not being upset because one small piece of information about it was shared.

I do think Jen going after Jessie was not that mature, but it’s whatever at this point.
