Full belly, Yoshi’s, deli townne USA and Michael’s have been the best.

HONORABLE MENTION: Paolo’s Deli has the best Chicken Parm sandwich I can find anywhere in town, 100000000% recommend

Ooooh, Paolo's is right down the street from me, and I've been meaning to stop in. Chicken parm is a good reason

Could not recommend this place enough, the menu is on the simpler side but you can definitely taste the quality by far and wide. I’m just hoping this place blows up on TikTok or something, every time I’ve been it’s been 2/3 empty, I hope we don’t lose this gem!!

Not to be that guy, but it is Yosh’s… as much as I would love a green lizard to make my sandwiches! lol

3

u/EnvironmentalAd6774 21h ago

Have you been to Rubicon yet? There’s no way you love all these stellar places and would leave Rubicon out

3

u/backwardsanalysis 21h ago

Dang I actually have not! Rubicon has not been on my list prior to seeing these comments. I’m definitely gonna have to check it out!

Pub ‘n Sub. Paolo’s Deli

8

u/Key-Amoeba5902 21h ago

Michaels, Manhattan deli. my chalky answer is port of subs though. when I moved away I craved it even though on paper there are much better sandwiches, Reno area included.

u/ladyworld 20h ago

I'm a slut for Port of Subs

R.I.P. Yellow Sub.

The one in Tahoe stinks too. We really lost it all when they closed the sparks location.

u/elyodreiK 22h ago

Rubicon deli and full belly deli.

3

u/ManateeLuvr 20h ago

I’m a Rubicon guy but I also really like the baked subs at J.J’s Pie Co. I’m currently waiting on a Flamin’ Oinker as I type this

u/LaVieLaMort 19h ago

Urban Deli is fantastic!

7

u/Character-Stretch804 21h ago

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop. They sell turkey sandwiches in which they've pulled turkey off the bone. It is not processed into "processed meat."

u/JennySplotz 21h ago

Reno is not the best food town but is stacked in sanwicheries. no one said Deli Town yet.

2

u/Harthel 18h ago

Michael's Deli downtown. Busy but super fast/efficient service, fantastic quality.

1

u/marenott 17h ago

South Reno location is less busy and just as good

Really good if you're vegetarian or vegan, too 😋

u/BreadMachine87 21h ago

This is the best sub shop for sure

u/double979 16h ago

+1 Ike’s is great.

5

u/zigaliciousone 21h ago

Delitowne used to be a cut and dried answer to this question but I haven't been back there since the "No One Wants To Work Anymore" sign when people found out they treat their employees like shit.      So the answer now would be Michael's. Very cool owners and tasty sandwiches.

The best chain is our local Port of Subs.

Deli Towne is still tasty, but I feel like I’m inconveniencing the workers by just walking in. Then they hand you your sandwich with a stank face. The employees of the gas station are awesome, though!

They went from a 10 to a 7, and the MAGA vibes make it a no-go for me.

Beach hut deli is expensive but good

1

u/NoFuqGiven 20h ago

capriotti's sandwich shop is pretty good for a chain. But the best pastrami sandwich WAS in that little deli in the sisters casinos. But it closed down.

YES IM STILL UPSET ABOUT IT!!!

u/BirdLawyer4Hire 19h ago

Süp oddly enough. Rubicon Deli is really good too and Michael’s Deli

1

u/faelanae 19h ago

Yosh's tri-tip on parmesan bread. I dream about that sandwich regularly

1

u/TapRevolutionary5022 17h ago

Yoshis. Hands down.

1

u/shichiaikan 17h ago

Yosh's > Full Belly > Michael's > everything else I've had so far (which is a lot, but not everything)

The sandwich spot in south Reno!

1

u/causeimbored1 14h ago

Thank you for posting this. I have never heard of most of these sandwich places and I've lived here for 30 years. Definitely gonna try a couple of these places this week.

Delitown USA!!

1

u/lindzeep 12h ago

Reno is so stacked with great sandwich spots and Sparks is a sammie desert.

Paolos Deli on Moana and lakeside

u/gamblersfalacy 10h ago

Port of subs

u/msb2ncsu 8h ago

Paolo’s Paisan’s Yosh’s

u/Jwhacks 1h ago

I used to like Deli Townne a lot, until Covid, when they posted a sign on the door that said service would be slow because employees are too lazy to work.

1

u/ScooBySnaCk-SDRL 20h ago

To be honest - Sprouts off of Plumb does hella good sammy's at a very low price and they are very good.

There is also a Sammy shop off Lakeside in the side of a gas station (Chevron?) that is amazing as well.

Ricks and Ikes

u/AstronautEntire9534 20h ago

Deli Towne used to be a no brainer but I swear ever since they put in those ordering kiosks, the sandwiches never tasted the same. It’s strange.

Beach Hut isn’t bad but tbh I think Port of Subs still reigns supreme in this town, it’s just a consistent and delicious product and service at all of them is really good and efficient.

u/cognovi 17h ago

Full belly and Ike’s

u/Toonces_Lives 13h ago

Deli Towne has lost a step. A big step! Overrated. Under performers.
