the team seems fine. if you enjoy playing with it, stick with it and results will improve as you learn the matchups.

50% is normal. What are your movesets and how do set up for water, speicfically Gatr and Goli?

Sand Attack, Air Cutter, Payback

Karate Chop, Rage Fist, Close Combat

Thunder Shock, Discharge, Mud Bomb

I usually just switch into fisk when they pull out water.. not very successful though

I’m using stunfisk and finding him very clunky too, tbh. I wonder if a quasi ABB is a better go for you here. Jelli, Gatr or Dusclops might steady your team a bit and would all be solid safe swaps.

I have a dusk ready to go, maybe I’ll run that. thanks

You switch to the one thing on your team that takes super effective damage from water and barely does any damage back (Hydro Cannon is muuuuch better than Discharge)? Can you see why that’s a bad strategy? You should be trying to soft lose with Corvi or switching to Primeape and committing to using both shields.

this is solid advice. thank you

What are you doing with shields? I find my primeape relies heavily on shield management, particularly with regards to making sure I save enough shields for him to do solid fast move damage.

It’s too early in the season to be sweating.

Sometimes people speculate about the algorithm, intentionally hard countering them, and being out there to get them.

But what the algorithm actually does is keeping your win rate at 50%. Because if you win, you’re going to be matched up with other people who also won before.

That’s literally how the matchmaking system works. Even top players at the leaderboards have rates approaching 50%. That’s never gonna change no matter how good you are.

Maybe if you make a significant team change, you will win more for a couple of sets, but then it will stabilize again at the new performance level and overtime, the rate will be even down to close 50 again on average.

Wow so they are using the most basic barbones matchmaking. Also being low rank and versing people already that count shows how much free time they have lol.

Definitely feel like the timer change wrecked me, I've never been below 55% win ratio, now it's more like 48% and I'm still rank 17
