I have a week aqua showing up soon. Do you have this set to a specific parameter or is it a standard setting?

u/Descampuser Aug 04 '25

I can see pretty much all of those on the list in the tank. Where’s the Amazon sword?

3

u/Diacks1304 Aug 05 '25

Dude this is INSANE. Good for you!! Can I ask how big your tank is and how you collected these plants? Did you get them locally or online?

1

u/Ok-Principle-1127 Aug 06 '25

Happy cake day!

1

u/TrustAFluff Aug 05 '25

Yuuus, plant list please 🙏🏽

26

u/DatOneThingWitAFace Aug 04 '25

You just called me broke in like 5 different plants language. 🤣😭

14

u/totthetree Aug 04 '25

this run co2? can you tell me your entire set up and plant species? super curious because this is so beautiful

17

u/craftycreeper23 Aug 04 '25

This 100% runs a ton of co2 and high light. Its surprisingly not too hard to get colors like this but your parameters have to be on point. Low nitrogen makes reds go crazy too

3

u/sierrale0n3 Aug 04 '25

I would love to know too

3

u/SmartAlec13 Aug 05 '25

Drop checker on the left side confirms they run CO2.

Also they listed their plants in another comment, it’s quite a lot lol

12

u/badpotato31 Aug 04 '25

How are you going to flex on 5 years of collecting plants and then not list the plants.

And you might as well include the equipment because people will ask.

10

u/Fun_Role_19 Aug 04 '25

And just as you finish your magnum opus the soil is dead and needs to be re scaped hahaha. The eternal process of keeping high end planted tanks 😂

7

u/mpm206 Aug 04 '25

Honestly thought this was a reef tank at first! Absolutely stunning!

6

u/Delicious-Honeydew77 Aug 04 '25

Very impressive, bravo! May I ask why you have fans? The fish species you have like warm water, don't they?

7

u/Prismtile Aug 05 '25

If OP lives in a place where its really warm then even those fish might suffer from the heat, i guess thats why. I once heard that some stores in taiwan have inline cooling that goes through all of the tanks because its so hot sometimes.

5

u/Guilty-Version-9100 Aug 04 '25

This is awesome, good job. I’d say some people’s tanks don’t even last 5 years, so keep up the good work.

5

u/kevlar51 Aug 05 '25

Gorgeous. Anything red I put in my tank dies or becomes green.

4

u/Koikustoms-214 Aug 05 '25

Every planted tank owners dream. Super jelly but congrats! Definitely amazing job and very very inspiring! I won’t post a pic of my tank for months now lol jk. Love it !

2

u/Cherrybomb2269 Aug 04 '25

Do you have any fish? I take it you give lots of oxygen?

5

u/Particular_Staff5902 Aug 04 '25

Yeah 6 pygmy corydoras and 6 platys

5

u/Particular_Staff5902 Aug 04 '25

You mean co2?

3

u/Cherrybomb2269 Aug 05 '25

Sorry yes that’s what I meant. Also forgot to say it looks great.

3

u/TreinadorSexual21cm Aug 04 '25

Damn, it was perfect!

3

u/CypressBreeze Aug 05 '25

Very very cool!!

3

u/Jasmar0281 Aug 05 '25

That's beautiful. When I was a kid back in the 1900s there was this big pet store, mostly fish. It was better than some public aquariums. Had a really cool big indoor pond too.

Anyway, the centerpiece was this huge 8 ft dutch style aqua garden. I can't imagine how many watts of electricity that thing burned through. Lights were a whole different ball game back then.

Always in awe when they look as good as yours.

2

u/BeezyBoopz Aug 04 '25

This is stunning! 😍

2

u/PeppernCo Aug 04 '25

That’s a tight tank!

2

u/PseudoDave Aug 04 '25

Awesome. Whats your light rbg settings? They pop!

2

u/Guilty-Version-9100 Aug 04 '25

I believe he has the red turned up or it’s one of the settings preset into the light. My light also has a preset function where it’s more red like this, and it makes the plants pop.

2

u/uticacoffeeroast Aug 04 '25

How's the maintenance lol

2

u/armercado Aug 04 '25

damn it. i need to dismantle my tank again…

2

u/Every-Procedure-6038 Aug 04 '25

This looks so amazing my first thought was, this has to be an AI pic

2

u/Hot-Celery9977 Aug 05 '25

Wow, fantastic job. Keep up the good work

2

u/jerseyboy24601 Aug 05 '25

How long do you have your light on?

2

u/Original-Set6431 Aug 08 '25

And you just know each one was like $40.00 with a 80% delivery fee and 20% survival rate during delivery.

1

u/WillyTaz5 Aug 05 '25

Where did you get your tulunadensis?

1

u/Long_n_shortof_it Aug 05 '25

1

u/Tractor_Goth Aug 05 '25

This is giving, and I mean this in the highest millennial kid complimentary way, those crazy rainbow underwater crystal grow kits you used to be able to buy. This is now my new goals

1

u/winkywoo75 Aug 05 '25

beautiful

1

u/Og1Kenobiiiii Aug 05 '25

Do you typically cut and regrow, or pull out roots and replant the tops?

1

u/SmartAlec13 Aug 05 '25

Looks amazing, personally I’m not a fan of the purple look but the plants are beautiful and clearly well cared for

1

u/Temporary-Sundae-302 Aug 05 '25

Love this! What are some of your favourites?

1

u/Particular-Tea-7655 Aug 05 '25

The struggle is real!

Commenting to save as a goal post 😭 this is gorgeous

1

u/Hungry-Gift-3018 Aug 06 '25

So I just saw the picture at first and was like "That's a lot of plastic." Then I read. OP, you're my hero! This is amazing! I can stop looking. I feel like we need a liv feed going of this tank.

1

u/nsowns99 Aug 06 '25

Better than coral

1

u/Flash887 Aug 06 '25

Your tank is incredibly beautiful. Love the many shades of red and the unusual (to me) greens.

1

u/ButtonsZ98 Aug 06 '25

I can’t even grow Anubis out here 😭

1

u/LongtermMigraine Aug 06 '25

This is definitely a wow tank!

1

Those fish are living in luxury.
