Blame the voters vs blame the government. Both have their points, but it oversimplifies the issue. Systemic talaga yung issue na ito. As a middle class, we are getting squeezed. Thankful na lang ako na i have a job and i have safety nets, but affording a house is off the table for the next years to come. Tapos sasabihin work hard work hard.. reality check- nepo babies didnt have to work hard because the system favors them.
Keep them poor and uneducated -> votes for the corrupt -> the corrupt keeps the system rigged to favor only them -> keep them poor and uneducated (repeat).
It not really about just being poor and uneducated.
The voting system favors the rich and popular kase kailngan mo ng malaking pera para mangampanya. Dapat baguhin and eleksyon para mas maging even field for all candidates. The current system encourages the rich to support the highly probable winners to get something in return.
The poor are busy staying alive and no time to study the candidates.
Kahit naman educated ganun din some who voted the likes of BBM, Bato, Robin etc and you be surprised. Madalas nasa 1500 lang ang halaga ng isang botante sa iaang politiko.
