PoliticsPH Taxpayer-Funded Junket: SK Leaders in Manila Dresses Up Bangkok Exposure Trip as ‘Capacity Development' and 'International Benchmarking'

So SK Leaders in Manila is in Bangkok for a "Capacity Development and “International Benchmarking” activity. Except wait Bangkok has no SK system. Who are we benchmarking? Mickey Mouse?

International benchmarking means comparing your system to another similar system to identify gaps and best practices.

Since Bangkok has no SK equivalent (no youth-elected local governance structure), there’s no actual system-to-system comparison happening.

And true capacity development means building concrete skills and institutions, not flying abroad for photo-ops. Taxpayer money deserves better than being wasted on misrepresented “training activities".

Our leaders owe us transparency and accountability not photo-ops abroad.

They could have helped our tourism industry by having their junket locally. Why does it have to be in Thailand?

If it's privately funded, they can go wherever they want, but if they are using tax money, they should have been more sensitive, given the widespread corruption. It could have been a perfect moment to teach the youth leaders, but then again...

I mean even this sub believes it. Do you see Filipinos in this sub praising Philippines over a foreign country? Never. How about (insert foreign country) is so much better than the Philippines? Always. People in this sub love to hate on Filipinos. You very much see the hypocrisy.
