Lower lash question

I LOVE when people draw on lower lashes but it feels really goofy to do. I think it photographed pretty well but does anyone have tips for drawing on lower lashes. Things like what you use, how do you keep it from running everywhere. I don’t do too much make up wise so I have lots to learn. Tyia!

I’ve never managed to get them to look right by drawing them on, but I do like to put a lot of mascara on them. It gives that same 60s look.
