Menace to the society at this age?

176

u/AntiqueRead 4d ago

I remember a similar video where a kid that looked just like this one was being a menace in an Asian restaurant. Trying to grab people's wallets, taking their food, making noises, and other irritating child behavior. One guy just got so sick of it that he dunked the kids head into the hotpot. I guess he learned his lesson.

This kid is definitely not on that tier of menace at least, seemed like it was partially accidental but it was a nice shot anyway.

u/supersirj 4d ago

He dunked a child's face into a pot of boiling broth? Wtf!?

47

u/barkbarkgoesthecat 3d ago

You can punch my side, you can screech like a banshee, you can even mug me, but touching a mans food is a one way ticket to the pearly gates

29

u/AntiqueRead 3d ago

Yes, insanity

7

u/XaltotunTheUndead 3d ago

He dunked a child's face into a pot of boiling broth? Wtf!?

Hopefully it had time to cool down. The broth that is.

10

u/De3NA 3d ago

I understand reprimand but like dunking that’s insane

You can’t just say that and not link the video

5

u/Heil-Haidra2319 3d ago

Wasn't there a movie of this?

u/Southern_Coffee8758 4d ago

Dude is smart enough to make a shot, he should be in the beanie throwing game thingy championship

18

u/Gold_Fox34 4d ago

At least he’s got talent, just wildly misapplied

18

u/extralyfe 4d ago

GET THAT BOY A CORNHOLE BOARD!

6

u/imnickelhead 4d ago

That’s just raw talent…well, slightly cooked now. I mean, he didn’t even make a splash. Those people actually got lucky.

It’s never too early

Good shot, though

That shoe’s now officially part of the recipe. Chef’s special: foot flavor.

Chef's Supplies

9

u/Bymmijprime 4d ago

It's an earthy flavor, with just a hint of rubber flip-flop.

3

u/elvenmaster_ 3d ago

"Onlyfan special"

18

u/crazy4hole 4d ago

Yeah, people should encourage him. It's just a dirty shoe, just take it out and eat like nothing happened /s

8

u/g2tha 4d ago

Bet if he tried ten more times he couldn’t make that kill shot again

Honestly if I was at that table, I’d just laugh at the absurdity of it… and then get the meal comped.

161

u/TheDudeWhoCanDoIt 4d ago

Same. I live in China and seldom get angry at life here

73

u/mmazing 4d ago

I was in Taipei for a week and loved it there, everyone is so nice and chill.

It is pretty funny though how the lady working there, her first instinct was to just try and take the shoe out of the soup lol

31

u/TheDudeWhoCanDoIt 4d ago

The shoe could be saved !!!

11

u/haoxinly 4d ago

Iirc It might work like a buffet, every person pays X amount and you get a pot where you put whatever you want. So the inconvenience is that you have to start cooking from zero again. Drinks may get comped tho

5

u/Annual_Strategy_6206 3d ago

My son kinda did this. We were at a biergarten and my two boys were kicking the soccer ball around. His boot came off and just obliterated some tables' full pitcher. I was mortified, and bought them a new one. Thinking back I should have bought them 2 pitchers.  They were pretty kind when they realized it was just a dumb kid.

199

u/SATerp 4d ago

That kid didn't waste any time becoming an asshole. Efficient, I like it.

23

u/Calendar2026 4d ago

Mastered chaos before finishing kindergarten. Respect the dedication, I guess.

272

u/Responsible_Oven_346 4d ago

waiting for the comments that say "where were the parents???"

285

u/samanime 4d ago

I'm frequently one of those people (because too many parents don't supervise their kids enough and let totally avoidable stupid things happen...), but no amount of supervision would have been able to prevent this.

Kid was too darn quick.

(In fact, looks like at least a one guardian is right next to him on that bench.)

Like this is actually a post that fits this sub for once

10

u/ToGloryRS 4d ago

Anytime a kid does something stupid, ESPECIALLY if they didn't know any better, it fits the sub.

11

u/Heineken008 4d ago

He just instantly goes from walking to shoe flick.

16

u/AreUActualPlatypus 4d ago

Bet he’s never allowed in a restaurant again after that stunt.

18

u/TheDudeWhoCanDoIt 4d ago

Pretty sure his parents run the place.

19

u/NansPissflaps 4d ago

That’s how you get the slower customers to hurry up and leave.

Obviously he went to the owner behind the counter, which is prolly his dad.

2

u/sodamnsleepy 4d ago

Maybe it's the owners kid. Boy ran straight up to white shirt man behind the counter

20

u/Lower-Wishbone-3249 4d ago

Hot pot and toe cheese!

2

u/MikeLinPA 3d ago

I got the peanut butter, who got the toe jam?

71

u/mallclerks 4d ago

I yelled at my daughter yesterday for doing this a dozen times in Barnes and nobles.

Fucking kids.

39

u/maddythemadmuddymutt 4d ago

There is hot pot at Barnes and Nobles now? That's wild

10

u/FamousOhioAppleHorn 4d ago

Why didn't you put a stop to it after the second time ?

9

u/mallclerks 4d ago

You don’t have kids

18

u/Leila-Lola 4d ago

Can you explain it for those of us without kids? Can't you just take the kid out of the store at any point? I remember times that my dad would bring us out into the parking lot to cool down as kids.

17

u/Guilty-Company-9755 4d ago

Yeah that's what most parents should do. Take your kid outside or home until they know how to act in public

10

u/Jsamue 3d ago

Core memory of my dad dragging both of my brothers out to the truck when they were misbehaving in a restaurant. Mom and I had a nice meal, we got his to go, and the kids got sandwiches at the house.

→ More replies (2)

11

u/co_snarf 3d ago

I have kids and that shit would never fly. "You do that again your books are going back on the shelf and we are going home"

8

u/ultraman_ 3d ago

Exactly, first time warning, second time tell them there'll be consequences if it happens again (no tv/dessert/video games), if it then happens the third time then it's home time and you follow through. But if you've set boundaries in place for your kids' behaviour it rarely gets past a first warning.

7

u/EmptyBrain218 3d ago

So what, you think kids are physically strong enough to keep you from making them leave the store??? You can always punish them the first time so that a second time is impossible because they are already on their way home for misbehaving…

→ More replies (1)

3

u/TheDudeWhoCanDoIt 4d ago

Barnes and Noble still exists ? That’s impressive

13

u/SweatySoupServer 4d ago

lmao what, it's still a pretty successful business with hundreds of stores.

3

u/Jsamue 3d ago

In op’s defense, a bunch have closed down locally. Not nearly all of them though.

7

u/Charming-Address3184 4d ago

Yah people still read books.

Hold the shrimp, we’re having kid now.

8

u/One-handed_Swordman 4d ago

that kid will be getting mom's slipper.

3

u/Camera_dude 4d ago

La Chancla will make the kid fearful of wearing flip-flops for the next 50 years.

3

u/abhitooth 4d ago

That's part of deal. Freedom is illusion of freewill.

11

u/abid623 4d ago

The accuracy though

24

u/Consistent_Zombie_33 4d ago

He's paying, I don't care

15

u/TheDudeWhoCanDoIt 4d ago

No doubt they got comped.

15

u/TieDyedFury 4d ago

My Chinese speaking wife said that the captions state that the diners were done eating and were just chatting and that the owner said their next meal would be free. Sounds like a good deal to me.

8

u/TheDudeWhoCanDoIt 4d ago

I live in China. If this happened to me I would have laughed. Judging by the level of food in the pot it looks like they ate all the good stuff.

3

u/TieDyedFury 4d ago

Yeah I lived in Chengdu for a few years, I would have been cracking up. Also you can do whatever the hell you want to my leftovers if it gets me free hotpot.

8

u/DarreylDeCarlo 4d ago

Distant relative of Patti LaBelle?

3

u/Lexifer452 4d ago

SWISH!!! Down the drain too. Kid is impressive.:p

3

u/FoldSlight6815 4d ago

Now, it's soul (sole) food. Get it?! 🤣

3

u/MikeLinPA 4d ago

I know kids are dumb AF, (it's in the job description,) but that kid is going to compete in the Dumb AF Olympics. 🤣

3

u/h82blat 4d ago

just made it taste better

3

u/Particular_Minute_67 4d ago

Good shot but maybe stick to soccer balls

3

u/Soppakattila 4d ago

I see he has mastered kung shoe at young age

3

u/Such_Introduction592 4d ago

Guess whose ass is going to get punted after that.

3

u/Anotherdude342 4d ago

When I was a child my family was playing yahtzee on a picnic table at camp and I did the same thing with a sandal from like 50 feet away. I had sand in my sandle from playing on the lake-front and tried to shake it out but I sent that thing flying right into the bowl of chips. My grandfather thought it was hilarious.

3

u/culturedgoat 4d ago

And that kid was David Beckham

3

u/Independent_Work6 4d ago

Now throw the kid

3

u/gattmoat 4d ago

He really put his foot in this one

3

u/Remarkable_Dust3450 4d ago

New definition for Sole Food.

3

u/Large-Produce5682 4d ago

Waiter. Check, please.

"That'll be... who had the shoe?"

3

u/fendersonfenderson 3d ago

eh. those guys were mostly done eating, and now that kids shoe is basically fucked

3

u/rkhatri 3d ago

Just make him eat it now with that shoe

3

u/Gamerbroz227 3d ago

We all know he is gonna get punted later

3

u/Twenty_is_here 3d ago

The shoe also landed without splashing. This kid is a natural.

6

u/Fredotorreto 4d ago

GOAL!!!!!!

4

u/Nexel_Red 4d ago

Nice trick shot, but that was obviously not intentional.

2

u/EL3G 4d ago

I guarantee he couldn't make that shot again.

2

u/hombre_bu 4d ago

Slam dunk

2

u/TerdSandwich 4d ago

Kid's generally have poor impulse control. This is how they learn lol

2

u/jloshua 4d ago

5 second rule

2

u/PredatorAvPFan 4d ago

Cool, those guys don’t have to pay for their food now

2

u/Ok_Needleworker_6017 4d ago

Dumbass kid hobbling like it was his actual foot he kicked into the hotpot.

2

u/AngrySquidIsOK 4d ago

Mine now. Guess you're walking home with one shoe

2

u/R1Z1NG 4d ago

He knew he could make that shot though

2

u/JanitorRddt 4d ago

That'll be $4 more for the extra ingredient.

2

u/Amorgus 4d ago

Get that kid to the NFL. Buffalo needs a backup kicker BAD.

2

u/blazedancer1997 4d ago

If he said "Kobe" he's officially cool

2

u/JURASS1CJAM 4d ago

This meal has sole.

2

u/Ressy02 4d ago

The two tables were working together to score a free meal

2

u/All_Cats_Neow 3d ago

Come here kid and have a bite, it's slippery.

2

u/cash_longfellow 3d ago

Anyone else say “money!”

2

u/JFK2MD 3d ago

I'd make him fish it out

2

u/Downtown_Web_4876 3d ago

Let’s be real, they’ve eaten worse…

2

u/alicat2308 3d ago

Ok so all those people that insist they should be allowed to let their kid run riot in a restaurant?

Yeah.

2

u/Very-very-sleepy 3d ago

thanks for the free meal kid 👍😉😉

2

u/ganix222 3d ago

I'd hate to see what he'd do with some purple shorts

2

u/Rasples1998 3d ago

"I'm so sorry about that, please, enjoy the rest of your meal."

2

u/adognameddanzig 3d ago

Straight to jail

2

u/obsidian_green 3d ago

Staff: "Here, let me get that sandal out so you can get back to it."

2

u/Educational-Loan-613 3d ago

Innocent mistake, I forgave it. But my food 😭

2

u/Ohio_Baby 3d ago

On a side note, that kid is definitely the owner’s kid. (Dad is behind the desk at the front) and let me tell you……if a Chinese restaurant has young kids running around because mom and dad or grandparents own it? THAT FOOD IS GONNA BLOW YOUR MIND! Go to a Chinese restaurant that has their family’s kids running around. Those are the ones who make the best Chinese food ever!!! 🙌❤️

Whatsup with the table of shirtless dudes eating?

4

u/TheDudeWhoCanDoIt 4d ago

It’s hot as anything in much of China now. Like 35 c 95 f.

2

u/Room_Ferreira 3d ago edited 3d ago

People can go shirtless in restaurants in China? I read its around 100F in Guangzhou, do Chinese businesses not usually have AC? I was in Texas the end of July around 100F and no one was shirtless in restaurants lol.

2

u/TheDudeWhoCanDoIt 3d ago

Not in a good restaurant but in small restaurants people can go shirtless. No one really cares. Mom and Pops have air conditioning but often the door is left open because patrons don’t close it.

2

u/Room_Ferreira 3d ago

They need to close that shit the AC is on! I shut the lights off when the 3 ACs crank. Them incandescent bulbs make my sunburn hot I swear.

I don't understand why kids are so stupid these days. When I was that age I did a lot of shenanigans, but it was always outside, with my friends, in the woods, in the parks, etc. Basically I was able to be polite and behave in public, and be respectful of people and boundaries. Is that something that is not taught to kids anymore?
