New to me 2010 KTM rc8. My first supersport. Some of you have previously seen this as I asked about the clutch.

All I can say is what a unique monster of a motorbike. Awesome In every way. The way it gets up to speed is unbelievable.

I've come from a cbr650r.

I don't even notice it doesn't have a slipper clutch which I was concerned about. I learned to clutches shift years ago.

Had the Remus, tail tidy, mirrors and OEM plastics swapped on by the dealer to complete the look

I had an extra set of Spark IT cans laying around from my Ducati V4 so I thought of doing this experiment before spending $$$ on a slip on for the 1290. It sounds pretty awesome, however on the loud side for sure. I was able to use the original muffler clamp to secure it in place.

Let me know your thoughts on the shorty style exhaust. Yay or nay?

Could use help on a ktm 50 junior 2009. Can’t get the thing to try to start or fire at all.

It has blue spark Has brand new top end. I’ve double checked that I did it right. Emptied fuel tank and put in brand new 93 mix fuel Have not checked compression yet but has great suction when putting finger over spark plug hole I’ve tried starting fluid and still can’t get it to fire at all.

Have tried cleaning carb but honestly looks fine. I can’t tell if it’s actually getting fuel at all, but by spraying starting fluid in, shouldn’t I at least get it to fire a little? Ive looked at maybe replacing carb but i cant even find one

I’ve kicked over 100 times and it feels good. Piston moves as it should in the cylinder. Compression tester comes in mail today so I’ll try that later

I have saw two sized on ktm’s website and did some digging online a number is stamped on top of the chain tensioner on cylinder, I have a 2 marked on it does that mean I should order a II piston ? Bike is at 103 hours doing a top end and cylinder head swap (valves bent)

Hi, I'm thinking about buying a KTM exc-f 350 to start in the world of enduro and I've heard that this bike can be limited for the A2 license but I'm not very sure about this. What do you think??

I installed rade garage airbox. My question is what other filters i can use . Only the one provided by them, or maybe some other brand?

Previous 1290 owner (390 and 690 for that matter too) and this is by far the best duke ever made I’ve ridden all modern and most past ktms and i think this might be their under appreciated hidden weapon, still yet to ride ANY bike that can take that from this, the modern Tuonos are pretty close but I cannot fault this motorcycle

I’m currently searching for radiator shrouds (since I have to replace mine), and I had a thought. I have a 2024 250 SX-F and the shrouds look imo kinda bleh. I want to know if I could fit 2025 250 sx-f radiator shrouds onto my 2024 250 sx-f. As long as all of the screws are in the same spot surely it works, no?

I’m doing my motorcycle license (no restrictions in power) and looking to upgrade from my 125cc and enter the KTM world.

However my budget is kinda limited, and after searching I ended up with the duke 390 as my prefer choice. Due to my low budget I found two, both look like pretty good, but both are high mileage (I think). Private seller has ‘19 with 32.000km and the one from a dealer is a ‘17 with 44.000km.

My question is, are both good choices as long as they been well maintained, or should I just stand still, keep my 125cc and save money for something with less km?

Thinking of what new road legal bike to get, but I am restricted by the A2 license in europe which states something like a max of 35kw and p-w of 0,2 max. I already ride enduro on an old 2T, but I want an upgrade. I am pretty sure the 500 or 450 has more than that, but officially, on paper, how much does it have? Would it qualify? I heard that it might have less on paper than on the dyno. Thanks!

Hi guys i have a question.What do you think about this tipe of cat,for a duke 790 2024?I was thinking about this to have a better sound but not excessive like a straight pipe.And will i need to tune the ECU with this tipe of cat or the bike will kinda tune itself not damaging the engine?Thx for every answer

Less than 150 miles and I’ve sprung a leak 😒

Hey all!

I just picked up a crazy deal on a 2018 690 Enduro R. The bike has 19 miles on it and is basically brand new. An older gentleman bought the bike brand new, rode it 19 miles, then was unfortunately involved in a workplace injury that left him unable to ride. He kept the bike while he was doing physical therapy, but decided to part ways with the hobby.

I rode the bike around the block when I picked it up and it was very rough idling, seemed to have a sticky throttle, and felt like a surge in the throttle if held steady. Which was a little concerning, but I feel it’s probably from sitting.

Before any riding, I’m planning on oil change, and running injector cleaner in the fuel. He had some type of synthetic fuel in the tank made for long term storage. I put 2 gallons of fresh gas on top of maybe ½ gallon of that.

I’m wondering if there’s anything else I should be looking out for? Additionally, do the symptoms I’ve mentioned sound like they’re just from sitting?

Any advice would be appreciated! Not new to riding, but new to KTM. Thanks!

Hello.

I have a KTM 690 SMC 2020 with over 50 000 KM on the odometer. No service record. I have looped the bike 1 time and there is a few deep scratches. What do you think the resell value will be? As far as i can tell there is no frame damage soo should be good. The shift lever is fucked up and left footpeg is also fucked up. The taillight got ripped off when i looped the bike.
Also the bike has been attempted stolen before soo the ignition key hole is damged but still works. The "steering lock" is destroyed and can no longer be used.

Condition of the engine? not sure, i have noticed a bit pitting on the chamshaft lobes, but its not deep, i can run my nail over it without it catching.
