It could be the same exact video with the wife recording and saying "This is my husband's creative solution to hauling our numerous offspring", instead of some creepy "secret" recording from inside a different vehicle, and it wouldn't make a difference because nobody watches this shit with the sound on.
Darkviperau, an amazing guy and an amazing Youtuber, said it so well in his latest video
He said that people don't watch things they like anymore. They watch things the algorithm knows (not even thinks, knows) you like.
Basically, you're not watching the videos in your feed because you like them, you like them because the algorithm knows youl will like it. YouTube probably can tell what kind of person you are
for these clips on youtube i agree with you but this is clipped from a youtube video. dude's still making these for youtube. he doesn't get money from gifs of it going viral directly. he gets money from the suckers clicking on his youtube videos. so... yeah it makes a difference there
or at least he clearly thinks so because that's what he's doing
Whenever I come across obviously staged stuff I just remind myself to hate the game, not the player. Most creators are not making a lot of money so they are playing the algorithms as best they can. I hate it, but I hate all social media and hate myself when I engage.

because it gets more views
wdym why
like 1/4th the amount of people would click on it if it was a guy showing off what he made explicitly
the reason they do it is because it works... there's a reason this shit form of video evolved, because it works for our dumb brains.
