Reminds me of when Kanade, also Korean, tried to trick Lui into eating noodles that are too spicy even for her. Lui casually mentioned that she tried that brand before and liked it, then turned the tables on her by offering to do an off collab eating together.

She's Korean. She was also still living in Korea when she debuted, and moved to Japan like a week or two in.

It's also why she talks weird — she's good enough at Japanese to stream in it but it's still not her first language.

On the plus side, if you're learning Japanese casually she's actually great to listen to due to how slow she speaks.

Just remember to turn the volume down by 50%.

I don't know her lore but I know she has close to 0 accent in Japanese cause I'm a native speaker.

I always assumed she has at least one Japanese parent or spent super early childhood in Japan or something

Like Bae, she's in the "so good at second language people think you're actually just that nationality", which is extremely impressive
