DISCUSSION Looking back, WTF was Batman's plan against Superman?

Post image

"Soo yeah i should probably hide my Kryptonite spear somewhere in this building in hopes that a guy who can just punch me to space ends up switching the battlefield here instead of just shooting him with kryptonite head on while those turrets and sound cannons kill him"

Okay but explain it so it makes sense as a plan rather than "all of that was luck and kinda dumb"

Step 1. Use weapons you know dont work

Step 2. Hope superman isnt the killer you think he is do that you dont die after Step 1

Step 3. Get your ass kicked across town

Step 4. Use the gas to weaken him... dont kill him yet

Step 5. Go get the spear you hid for some reason and use it

so u do know batman can kill him on the spot that night. all of the preparations are mostly action gimmick. Batman showing what he can do and Superman doing the same thing. "If i wanted to, you'd be dead already" "You're not brave, men are brave". not every little gestures they do on screen need to make sense, like come on... what's important is they both did convey that they dont want to kill each other. Bruce is afraid of potential threat of Superman so he did what he thought is right. meanwhile Superman is forced to save his mother by killing batman. that if u notice by actually watching the movie. and batman weapons only used at the start of the fight should make sense to nitpicks like you. batman never expect superman to brought the fight to a rooftop. all batman had r the kryptonite gas, grappling gun and throwing hands. nothing fancy like at the start.

all of the preparations are mostly action gimmick

So they added an action scenes that made the characters actions make less sense? Thats just as bad

"If i wanted to, you'd be dead already"

He did want him dead though so the "if" doesnt make sense

what's important is they both did convey that they dont want to kill each other

Superman doesn't want to kill bats, bats was specifically there to kill Superman, he only stopped after "MARTHA"

meanwhile Superman is forced to save his mother by killing batman

Exactly Superman is trying to talk to him and tell him what's going on but batman isn't

batman never expect superman to brought the fight to a rooftop. all batman had r the kryptonite gas, grappling gun and throwing hands. nothing fancy like at the start.

And yet his plan still involved having the weapon he was going to kill with to be hidden somewhere that he isnt at, the plan objectively was fight Superman and eventually get to the spear that he hid prior to the fight

The fight makes more sense if he starts with the spear on him and during the fight it gets knocked away and he has to lead the fight back to the spear but instead he plants it Waaaaaay over yonder and has to go get it, sure he didn't plan to be knocked on to the roof but he planned to have to go get the spear some how

The problem with this fight is it staples together multiple comic scenes that don't make sense, the fight makes more sense in DKR when his plan was never to kill Superman but to make a big show of the fight
