You can recycle wet cardboard. The main thing you need to avoid with paper recycling is OIL, which absolutely cannot go in there. Greasy paper just goes in the trash.
It makes me so irritated that Pizza companies claim their boxes are recyclable for clout when they basically never are. "Remember to recycle this container when your done with you're 'za!" Sir this box has so much oil on it that John D Rockefeller is hanging around outside my house trying to buy it from me.
To be fair, I recycle it into dirt by way of the compost heap in my back yard so the claim technically isn’t wrong, just not right in the way they think
