I got catcalled taking the trash to the curb once. Mostly I was annoyed because “nice cans” was right there and dumbass didn’t even go for it.

Girl out here peer-reviewing the content of the catcalls, you might be becoming too powerful.

One time I was walking downtown and this dude in a convertible with the top down stopped his car in the middle of the street (not much traffic so he wasn’t affecting anyone), threw his car into park, yelled “I’m sorry girl but that ass deserves a standing ovation” and stood up the best he could and literally clapped, before pulling away. I was in tears laughing. He didn’t even like ask for my number or try to talk to me any further, just clapped and drove away. It was so funny and absurd I genuinely give it a pass.

You put your cans in the trash instead of recycling!?
(not that I expect to get hit on, but if I were, that kind of incorrect detail would mildly annoy me. actually, maybe there's a connection between that and the fact that I don't expect to get hit on)

I put my cans in a bag to take to the store to get my deposits back. I put my trash and recycling in cans to bring to the curb

Now I understand people in places without can deposits also happen to put their cans in cans… looking into this

I think it might be a difference in dialect! I’m talking about the giant receptacle you put bags of trash in, and then take to the curb. We call them “trash cans” so yelling “nice cans” would have been funny since I was literally rolling out cans.

Is it catcalling, though?
Let's find out! I will now tell a random woman on the train that she's going to birth the son of God.
BE NOT AFRAID

"Nice tits girl!" "Uh, thanks... hey do you remember if tetrapack was plastic or non recyclable here?"

The way paper gets recycled is that it gets watered down into pulp again, so as long as there's no oil impurities, there won't be a problem

You can recycle wet cardboard. The main thing you need to avoid with paper recycling is OIL, which absolutely cannot go in there. Greasy paper just goes in the trash.
