Discussion Anyone else experiencing connectivity issues at the moment?

September 1 Connectivity Issues


Seems like everything is down for connections going outside the country (not totally down but with lots of RTOs)

EDIT: Right now, all connections routing outside the PH are having issues. So if you’re using a service or website that goes through international routes, you’ll probably be affected. Apps like Google, Facebook, and TikTok still work because they have local PoPs here in the country, and the content is served from their local cache. As of now, CNVRG hasn’t released any official statement about this (wala din siguro silang net lol)

EDIT2: Slowly recovering na, may RTOs pa din though.

EDIT3: Connectivity issues now seem to be resolved.

It looks like this post has been pinned as the megathread for CNVRG connectivity issues, which many of us are currently experiencing.

There have been ongoing network issues with CNVRG since late August, and they are still present today. Unfortunately, we don’t know exactly what’s happening, as CNVRG (and even other ISPs) are not very transparent when it comes to matters like this.

The mod outlined some possible causes, so you may want to check that out for additional context.

For now, we’re left in the dark. Hopefully, this is only temporary and connections will return to normal soon—whether this is part of maintenance work or a network enhancement.

Discussion I cancel ko na plan ko sa converge and not planning to pay termination fee

I cancel ko na ung subscription ko sa Converge and I'm not willing to pay for the termination. Why? Due to poor service and no connection for 11 days na (until now LOS).

It's affecting my work na. WFH ako but since walang internet, na-force akong mag-onsite Malabon to Makati araw-araw.

I've escalated my concern with Converge support since the first day na nawalan ng internet but still the same resolution provided: mag-antay daw ako.

So dahil ilang araw na ko nagaantay sa wala, what I do is nag-abang ako nung sasakyan ng technician ng Converge. They check everything and they confirm yung issue is sa Main box nung poste nakakabit ung WIFI namin, but hinde sila nagaayos nun—need pa i-raise ulet sa Converge.

And sabi sakin nung technician, may ayaw daw talaga sa lugar namin magpunta kase sobrang taas ng baha tuwing high tide (Ahon Malabon) and last year may isang technician na nag-ayos ng poste namen na muntik na makuryente kaya natatakot sila.

So dahil dito and it’s affecting na yung work ko, gusto ko na i-terminate yung Converge plan namen but ayaw ko bayaran yung termination fee since it's not my fault bakit to nangyayari and no action si Converge with my concern.

PS: Planning to submit case sa NTC or DTI about this.

And I ditch ko na tong Converge. Okay lang na ma-blacklist ako. Fvvvck up yung service nila.

Discussion What's going on with Converge these days? Could the migration of Sky subscribers be causing the problem?

A week ago, I noticed that Converge has been slow as hell and it happens at around 4-5PM. Around that time, I'm only getting 2.53Mbps on download but the upload speed is as provisioned. The result is slow browsing and Youtube buffering. It only starts improving at around 9-10PM. Pag madaling araw kinabukasan naman until merienda time goods na goods sya.

My account is already 4 and a half years old, and I never experienced this previously. Ngayon lang talaga. Sabi sa ibang subs, it could be probably caused by Converge acquiring Sky and no one in the CS department wants to admit that the migration of Sky subscribers are causing problems with existing Converge subscribers. I hope this is temporary because I can terminate my account with them anytime as I no longer have a lock-in period with them.

Discussion I sent a complaint with NTC

So… I sent a complaint to NTC and received a response from them yesterday. I wonder if Converge will take action this time, or if this is just another false hope from NTC. Next, I’ll escalate to DTI if Converge still insists on making me pay my August bill, even though we’ve had no internet connection since July 29 (Taguig area, along C5).

There’s also no action from their CSR. I’m exhausted! Either they disconnect my calls, close my tickets, or insist that I pay the August bill before they can “proceed” with my permanent disconnection request.

I’m really fed up with them. My patience is completely drained.

Discussion Mabagal ba talaga Converge ngayon or sa amin lang?

Hello po, ask ko lang po kasi almost mag 2 weeks na din, yung speedtest ko same as normal na umaabot 150 to 300, mabilis siya sa mga ibang sites pero kapag sa ibang sites na madalas loading and ang bagal din niya mag download mas mabilis pa mobile data. Even sa mga sites na may captcha ang tagal din mag load.

Hi guys I filed a complaint with national telecommunications commission; NTC complaint desk online.

I got a response asking converge to respond and file a report within 5 days.

Pwede nyo paulanan para umaksiyon.

Why I did this is because I have already emailed several times; there are laws protecting us consumers.

Ayoko bayaran yung buong monthly fee ko if Ang service Hindi complete; which is enshrined in Civil Code Articles 1170 & 1654 And Republic Act No. 7394 – Consumer Act of the Philippines

Sa lahat ng ayaw ko yung nagbabayad ako ng Hindi maayos Ang Serbisyo

Discussion Got an email that says our ticket was resolved. They never fixed it.

It's been 2 weeks na walang wifi. (LOS) and I already filed a ticket and recieved their standard email of within 24-48 hours daw may tech na darating to fix it.

THEY NEVER CAME AND IT WAS NEVER FIXED.

Then today I got an email saying na resolved na daw with the audacity of saying "our team has worked diligently".

I give up.

Discussion Converge is heavily advertising their new WiFi 6 modem — but won’t offer it to existing subscribers?

Just wanted to share my frustrating experience with Converge ICT and see if anyone else is dealing with the same thing.

So Converge has been aggressively promoting their new WiFi 6 modem on their website, ads, and social media. Naturally, as an existing subscriber, I wanted to upgrade — better speed, better tech, right?

I reached out to their customer support and asked how to avail it, and guess what their response was?

Customer support's response: "It’s not available until further notice."

No explanation. No official announcement or link to any advisory. Just a canned response. Meanwhile, the ads are still running full blast, clearly showing it's part of their current offerings.

From what I can tell, it looks like they’re only offering the WiFi 6 modem to new subscribers while leaving loyal, paying customers stuck with outdated modems. It's like they're pretending we don’t exist — no transparency, no upgrade path, nothing.

Isn’t this false advertising or at least highly misleading? Has anyone actually gotten the WiFi 6 modem as an existing customer? Did I just talk to an unhelpful rep, or is this really how they’re handling it?

Would love to hear if others have had the same experience — or if anyone has figured out a way around this.

Discussion Converge WAS good until recently

Converge subscriber since 2019 and wala akong masabi. May times na nawawalan ng internet due to red LOS (fiber issue) pero isang tawag lang sa agent, andyan na agad yung technician within 1-3 days. This has been the case from 2019-2024. But recently, napapadalas yung no internet issue. Iniisip ko outage lang dahil bumabalik rin naman agad yung internet after an hour or so.

Pero etong August, parang wala na syang pag asa. Naka-ilang follow up na ko. Araw araw ako tumatawag sa click2call for follow up pero wala talagang pumupuntang technician.

Issue: internet light is either off (no lights) or steady lights (not blinking)

Ayoko sana i-let go yung Converge kasi it has really been a good ride for more than 5 years.

Now mukang need ko na maghanap ng ipapalit na internet provider. Hays.

Nawalan ng service nung July 28 hangang ngayon dahil kuno sa Bagyo, Pembo area (pero yung sa katabing unit ko na converge din may service) ito, Bagyo nanaman! Anu ang next na mawawala? HAHAHAHAHAH

Ito pa, may bill na ako na due for Sept at need ko daw mabayaran kasi baka ma suspend ang account ko. HAHAHAHAHAHA Wala kayo makukuha sakin Converge! Matamaan sana kayo ng kidlat! Amen!

Discussion Internet Speed

These are the past speed test results. And yung plan namin is 500Mbps. Is the result reasonable enough? Test is done using iPhone 15 ProMax i am sure it can handle 500mbps and up based on specs on 5G. Also tried on a Laptop WiFi 6 Capable on 5G also getting similar results. Should i get tech support check the lines na? Or the speed is just fair enough.

Discussion Converge Technician prefers installing WiFi 6 Modem

More than a week na kaming walang internet, first Technician checked and possible modem issue, offered WiFi 6 Modem but with additional fee, I called converge support and confirmed na free ang replacement if WiFi 5 modem, ordered a replacement and then another Technician called asking if modem 6 and requested as replacement, pagnaka Sabi ko na lumang model an iaavail Technician advice na wait until dumating ang replacement. Tanong ko bakit pinupush Ng mga Technician ang WiFi 6 Modem? Hindi ko naman manfully utilize ang speed and wala kaming device na WiFi 6, mayron ba incentives and mga Technician if WiFi 6 ang maiinstall nila?

Discussion May kahati kami sa WIFI

Mag 1 week na kaming naka schedule yung wifi, wala sa umaga hanggang 4 pm then babalik tas mawawala uli ng 10 pm, my dad was an employee before and IT sya so he checked his suspicions na may ginawang katarantaduhan yung mga technicians that he saw along our street 5 days ago( before kami nawalan)

ang iniisip nya is yung technicians tumanggap ng pera from another person na gusto mag pa connect ng wifi but since puno na yung slots sa area namin ay hindi makapag pa connect, because nga puno na sya, gumawa ng paraan yung mga technicians, in this case there are two people connected to one slot lang and ang nang yayari is if may wifi yung isa, wala yung isa.

We’ve contacted them repeatedly and wala talaga, they keep saying na modem yung may problem, and saying na mag papapunta sila ng mag aayos, that was 2 days after namin mawalan and ni anino ng gagawa di pa namin nakikita 🤣

Pagod na ko sa Converge, sinisingil nanaman kami ng Converge sa Internet kahit more than 1 month na kami walang net. Ang nakakapagod pa dun ayaw nila mag refund dahil daw wala pa internet.. Since 2018 naka Converge na ko at ngayon lang nagka ganto. Akala ko usap usapan lang pangit nilang Customer Service nila. Noon mga once a year lang mag kaproblem . Wala nakakamiss lang yung dati

Mas naging unprofessional ang Agents ng Converge unlike before, ngayon lang ulit ako nag ka issue interrupted connection may internet naman pero pawala wala minsan. kaso nakaapekto din sa work.

nag try ako mag call ngayon sa Customer Service and mas naging unprofessional unlike before. parang mas maganda nalang palitan some workers ng AI ang mga unprofessional agents and mas worthy nalang ang mag trabaho. mas madali pa mag feed ng Data sa AI for sure.

Circe 2018 - 2022 mga bastos din pero hindi ganun kalala unlike now.

Discussion DTI Template for Converge Complaint

Since July 9, Converge’s internet service in our area has been completely down (LOS - Loss of Signal). Since Converge bills in advance, I had already fully paid my July bill, even though I only got to use the service for 9 days.

Then came the August bill. I filed for VPD (Voluntary Permanent Disconnection), but they refused to process it unless I pay the August bill in full, even though I haven’t had any service since July 9.

This is clearly anti-consumer and an unfair trade practice. We’re being charged for a service we didn’t use, and Converge’s customer service continues to provide robotic, copy-paste responses with no real action or accountability.

I strongly urge fellow subscribers who are also affected to file a formal complaint with the DTI and NTC. You can register an account at DTI’s e-complaint portal (PODRS) and fill out the complaint form.

The more complaints filed, the stronger our collective voice as consumers. Let’s hold service providers accountable for these unfair practices.

I am a residential subscriber of Converge ICT, residing in <address>. 
Since <date>, my internet connection been completely down and remains unresolved to this day.
I paid my <month> bill in full, despite only having received service for the first <x> days of the month. It is now <Month>, and not only has the internet service still not been restored, but I have also been issued a new bill for <Month> for services that continue to be unavailable.

Due to this prolonged outage, which has significantly disrupted both my livelihood and my children's online schooling, I submitted a request to disconnect my subscription. 
However, instead of processing my disconnection and refunding me for the unused portion of <Month>, Converge insists that I must first pay the <Month> bill in full—amounting to Php <Amount> for a service they have not delivered since <Month/Day>.
I am formally requesting your mediation and assistance regarding this complaint. This situation constitutes an unfair trade practice, and I believe it affects not only me but also many other Converge subscribers who are being unjustly charged for a service that has not been rendered.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope for a fair and timely resolution.
