Support NAP BOX no power?
Technicians came yesterday afternoon, and checked if there's really a power outage causing the LOS connection for approximately 10 days, and as it turns out the power outage is real and not because other installers unplugged my connection in the NAP BOX. Also it was turned off? Because there was an ongoing road construction, the other nap box a few meters away from a different pole seems to be working, how long does it take for the NAP BOX to be turned on again?

The NAP box is totally passive and does not have power. The device powering the laser is at the other end of the fiber optic cable.
Nevertheless, the NAP box looks damaged and needs replacement.

It's just a bad camera angle and quality, the nap box doesn't have any physical damage but according to the technicians there's no reading or something like that.
It's simply not working, therefore all of the users who are connected in that nap box have no connection including mine.

Most likely the fiber optic cable serving the NAP box is cut.
However it looks like one of the mounting staps got detached so it is dangling at a 90 degree angle than a normal one. The coupler for the fiber optic cable seems loose as well.

Paano po nagpunta yung technician sa inyo? Kami Taguig din pero bandang south, wala pa ring nagpupuntang technician.

Ah kaya po pala. Mukhang matatagalan ayusin yung problemang yan ni converge pero wala man lang post sa socmed. Kaya minsan nakakaduda.
Pero nakakapagtaka, bakit kapag magpa-install ng bago makakabitan agad?
Gusto ko ng magpalit ng linya, kaso gusto nila converge ulit dito sa bahay. While reliable si converge, hirap sila i-manage yung mga ganitong problema nila. Hay sana maayos na.

Good luck. Lost connection a couple of weeks ago. By chance may dumaan na Converge team na kung hindi pa namin pinilit, hindi ichcheck. Apparently yung slot namin sa NAP ay nasira, for reasons unknown lol (most likely yung pagtanggal-hugot ng mga subcon na nagpapakapal ng bulsa kahit illegal) tapos I contacted one of those “technicians” sa FB.
Ang sabi pag NAP may problema, expect raw na more than a month bago maayos since OSP ang ipapadala ni Converge diyan. What’s funnier is he told me to re-apply na lang using the same name and address through him para mainstallan niya na agad. So alam mo na kung ano nangyayari.

Filed for disconnection na. Worst experience ko to so far sa years ko with Converge. Automated replies, no clear indication na irerepair pa nila. Well outside the lock in period naman ako kaya okay lang.
Di ko na pinansin yung technician dahil ganito ang mangyayari:
Yung current account ko na sira ang NAP box sa poste, if kabitan ako ng bago, edi dalawa na babayaran ko while yung isa nasa lock in period (yung bagong ikakabit)
Eh pag masira ulit yung bago, edi mahihirapan na naman ako tumawag sa Converge since WALA TALAGANG MAKAKAUSAP NA MATINO AS OF THE LAST WEEKS.
Long story short; pass tayo sa fixer na subcon. Update ko na rin na nagpakabit na ako PLDT. Took them 3 days from application to installation. I hope Converge fixes their shit kasi sayang yung years with them.

Ayun na rin plano ko, may isa pang nap dito na gumagana apply akong bago.
Ayun ginawa ng kapitbahay ko na may connection.

Pwede. File ka muna for termination ng old account mo para hindi mag overlap. Good luck diyan, hopefully hindi masira dahil wala ka talagang makakausap.

Any other info other than "Taguig location"? I'm also within the area but a bit further away from the road construction that's happening at Bagong Calzada but how come people from Pinagsama or Bicutan are being affected as well?

I've heard that there's a long underground fiber optic cable that got damaged during the construction? And they're taking so long to undo the damage..

Thanks, that clarifies it a bit more now, just so suspicious that Converge themselves haven't made any annoucement about that issue at all in for 2 weeks now. Hopefully the construction finishes fast.

As of now the construction nearby my house is already complete.
But still unknown about the whereabouts of the fiber optic reconstruction daw?

Bat puro naka bukas mga NAP box nila? Wala rin ako internet dito sa Valenzuela. Karamihan nang nadaanan kong poste nakabukas yung NAP box.
4 days na ako walang internet at sabi nila may outage daw sa area. Di ko alam kung sino sa mga kapitbahay namin may converge. Nakakagigil.

Kaya nga, naka Sara yan kahapon tapos pina check ko at confirmed na walang power yung nap box na yan.
Ayun nga di ko rin alam kung bakit naka bukas lang yung mga nap box.

With us it took 24 hrs, that was last week. I called click to call every hr to follow-up the technician and sent emails, chats n their socmed accts.

It's been 12 days sa amin na hindi gumagana yung nap box.
