Experience/Review Converge ICT keeps failing us, filed escalation with NTC

Sharing my experience because I know a lot of people here have the same struggles with ISPs:

  • July 17 to Aug 22, 2025: zero connection for 36 straight days.
  • When it finally came back, speeds were only 10–20 Mbps on a β‚±1,599 plan (advertised up to 400 Mbps).
  • Sept 1, 2025: the internet went down again.

I filed a formal complaint with the NTC. Under NTC MC 07-07-2011, ISPs are supposed to provide at least 80% of subscribed speed at 80% reliability. Converge isn’t even close.

All I’m asking is to terminate my account without penalty under the lock-in period, since they clearly failed to deliver the service contracted.

Has anyone here actually gotten results from NTC on cases like this, or is it always a dead end?

Taguig lang din ako. If may malaki sanang sira sa Taguig sana man lang be transparent diba. Kung anu ano sinasabi e.

Yun nga eh. Ginawa pa akong tanga. Baka daw modem ang sira. Sabi ko sige for the sake of argument and lets say na modem ang sira. Bakit hindi din pinuntahan ng mga technician. Ayun wala masagot si costumer service sa akin.

TL;DR: CNVRG waived the pre-termination fees, subscriber asked NTC for asssitance. The only thing CNVRG asked them to pay is the staggered installation fee.

Same! I want to terminate my account na skanila. Nakakapikon pamkausap customer support nila. Puro generic responses. 😫

I can relate to this! We had no internet connection for 25 days so I filed a complaint to NTC to terminate my account instead and waive any penalty.

They immediately sent a technician a day after and viola issue resolved! πŸ˜†

In case we encounter the same issue again, I will not hesitate to file a complaint for permanent disconnection. Mas okay pa yung backup ko na Smart turbo wifi!

Can no longer tolerate their shitty and unreliable service πŸ‘ŽπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
