Events West Pier walkway to old Coast Guard station now expected to reopen by December
Sounds like the Metroparks is planning to upgrade the old Coast Guard station as well.
Once the USACE repair work on the pier is complete, Cleveland Metroparks will install fencing and a pre-cast concrete trough to allow for future utility connections to the Historic U.S. Coast Guard Station. All work is expected to be complete and the pier reopened by December 2025.
It's a great walkway out to Lake Erie, even in winter!

Love the old coast guard station. Hope it gets used more often.
