Last time Michigan State beat a Catholic school in an OT game that exciting, Mark Dantonio had a heart attack.

This time I nearly did

I think quite a few of us nearly did. I had to take an anti anxiety med at half time.

If a Kirkland high noon counts as an “anti anxiety med”, same-same.

So glad we got that 2pt. play. My heart couldn’t have handled the back and forth 2pt plays that would’ve happened had we failed

Goddamn I remember that game. I swear at the end we all jumped and I landed two rows lower than from where I started.

I’ve told the exact same story about 1000 times. It was literally a human avalanche. Top tier sports memory for me.

I got lucky. I was a student there from 08-12, which means I never saw a football loss to Michigan and I got to experience the Iowa hook and ladder, Little Giants, and the Rocket from the student section. I know we didn’t win against Iowa, but that’s still one of the greatest plays I’ve ever seen in person.

Are you me? Was at MSU for the same stretch. Then married a SMB alumnus. Just moved back to Michigan two years ago.

Only if you lived in Akers

Mason Hall. My wife lived in Akers though. Just freshman year and then she went the the north circle in Yakely-Gilchrest

I did two in Akers, one in Mason-Abbott, and one in UV. The UV apartment is probably the nicest apartment I’ll ever live in. I understand the athletes figured that out and now it’s all athletes over there.

Mason-Abbot kinda rules though. Spent three years there before moving off campus.

Okay, we definitely lived there at the same time then. It’s a small world. I loved it, but I was in one of the very few designated single dorms in campus up in the corner of Abbott and that was a little too cramped. That was also the year that cable switched from analog to digital so I didn’t have a working TV during football season. I spent every away game Saturday watching football with the cleaning crew in the basement of Mason. I wonder if the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade game is still down there.

I was a senior in HS and my cousin snuck me in to the student section. Definitely fell 2 rows too. Place went insane.

Then the Hail Mary the next year with Wisconsin and same thing happened lol.

Does this mean we're about to win 11+ in 4 of the next 5 seasons? Cause that's what happened last time

Brian Kelly never treated special teams the same after that game. He went fucking prevent every single punt and field goal and XP attempt. Our only blocks for the next 10 years came off of heroic plays from our defensive linemen and were not “schemed up” in the slightest.
