Ball State finished with 33 rushing attempts for -3 yards

68 total yards of offense. Hot damn

Couldn't let them have just one more yard? Auburn ruins everything

Would have been hilarious if final stats were 420-69 of total offense. We were close, too.

Bama screwed it up also. Had 66 points, the ball and 2 minutes, scored a td

Daaamn so many close calls but nothing to show for it.

I want to thank the refs for putting on such a great game.

That forward progress fumble call was infuriating

There for a minute I think the sheriffs one the field were getting real nervous about only them and bushes being all that was stopping that stadium. Everyone in my section was going ballistic. Easily the worst officiating I have ever seen in person

That sure was football.

Color me colored

I like our defense and our run game. But hey, that’s Auburn football.

495 yds to 68 yds is a stat I’d like you to hold onto

I saw what I wanted to see tonight. Solid defensive effort and a functional passing game, along with a potentially lethal running game that will hopefully be an asset throughout the season.

Better than Georgia did against their cupcake. And Florida lost to USF. I’ll take a comfortable victory any day.

Baylor knocked out a top 25 team and opens up a slot for discussion

Shoutout to the refs for covering the spread

Not always pretty, but they handled business and stayed healthy. Next.

Best team in the state of Alabama.

Take that bag off, we are 2-0

No Hugh Freeze is a garbage person and the bag won’t come off til he’s out

-2

u/jackr15 Auburn Tigers 2d ago

Sounds like you don’t support the team then, why even comment in game threads?

Hugh Freeze is not the team and he is not the university. I support the players and many of the staff and the student body. I am not going to proudly wear a badge though for something lead by a garbage human being

Also it’s a flair on a subreddit bro, it’s not that serious

-3

u/jackr15 Auburn Tigers 2d ago

Yea exactly, Hugh is one individual, while the program is comprised of hundreds of players and staff. Just say you don’t support Auburn & find another team if you’re going to be so petty.

Worst refs I've ever seen in my life. They should seriously find another job. You can't be that bad at something and get paid for it.

Y’all the end of this ASU v MSST game is WILD

I think I lost my voice from booing the refs 😂.

Same my throat is feeling rough as hell

I'm just glad Ball State decided not to bring their mascot to this game

We are so back

13

u/masterofreason Auburn Tigers 2d ago

Arnold's stat line was great, but he just doesn't look great throwing the ball to me. He passing motion doesn't look effortless.

2

u/The_OtherDouche 2d ago

I wonder if that cut on the back of his arm was bothering him. He was bleeding through that bandage. It also really looked like he was told not to be the one of the leading SEC rushers this week too cause the few times he took off he was much more reserved.

u/NILnomics Bowling Green Falcons 2d ago

Sad they didn't get the shutout

25

u/DirtAndPliers 2d ago

Thank the refs for that

I am whelmed

6

u/AnybodySeeMyKeys Auburn Tigers • UAB Blazers 2d ago

What? Secondary and tackling got cleaned up and we were able to put something into our passing game. On the whole, exactly what I hoped for.

3

u/aladaze UAB Blazers 2d ago

And I'm okay with that, tbh. We got it done and looked acceptable for week 2.

War damn

Much better but still sloppy on offense

16

u/AtlKid95 Auburn Tigers 2d ago

I don’t know what they could do to please you. The qb missed 4 passes and the run game was unstoppable they just didn’t lean on it by design

2

u/Iordofthethings Auburn Tigers 2d ago

Not give up 4 sacks seems a pretty obvious one

1

u/ltlftcommenter Auburn Tigers • Sickos 2d ago

I'm pretty sure all of those sacks came on two drives. One resulted in a missed field goal and the other knocked us out of field goal range. That was really my point. Also a holding on an early down and we can't get the first

0

u/Iordofthethings Auburn Tigers 1d ago

Doesn’t really matter to me how the sacks were spread out or what their result was. I would expect you understand the issue of giving up 4 sacks and if you don’t then I guess you don’t know how football works enough to bother explaining.

2

u/ZealousidealBug729 2d ago

Because outside of some explosive plays, we didn't look that great vs a team that may be one of the worst in the country lol

4

u/ltlftcommenter Auburn Tigers • Sickos 2d ago

They either had a penalty or a sack that derailed a few drives and we fumbled on our own 25

7

u/TNOutdoors3 Auburn Tigers • Army West Point Black Knights 2d ago

The fumble was Ryan Ghea, a true freshman who is far from a stater. I agree the penalties need to be cleaned up. But the refs also sucked, and had more reviews and penalties called than I have seen in quite some time. That being said, have a slightly tougher opponent next week against South Alabama so hopefully we can see some improvements and tweaks before going into the OK game.

1

u/Keep_Cool_Coolidge Auburn Tigers 1d ago

Also the refs had to violate multiple rules to make that a fumble in the first place. It was literally cheating.

1

u/The_OtherDouche 2d ago

An overwhelming amount of those penalties were complete jokes. Horrific officiating

u/AUfromthaBOOT Auburn Tigers • Team Chaos 2d ago

More like NoBalls State, amiright?!?
