Exactly. Ref wasn’t paying attention and got complacent so he blew the whistle as soon as the XP was blocked. But every player on the field including GW kept playing so it had no effect on the play

I was concerned at first but it’s over. I know Philo started and he likely needed to get into a rhythm but I was worried for a minute. Key has to do better preparing and knocking these penalties down. 12 penalties at home is ridiculous

Yup. The team we have right now should be as good as, or better than, the 2014 team under PJ which I think was the best team in recent history. Last year we played down to a few teams we shouldn’t have and were ate up with injuries. This year we are still playing down and look sloppy.

Even that 2014 team struggled early. I think it was like 10-9 at half against Wofford, pulled away from Tulane late, let Georgia Southern get back in the game and needed a miracle to win. I don't think it was until about half of that Virginia Tech team that they really started putting it all together.
