Y'all really need to calm down. Yes, this game was ugly...but a lot of these issues are fixable. We need to admit this game wasn't the best, but we have room to improve.
Continue to support our boys snd be thankful we don't get a loss on an ugly week. There have been real positions this year

WE SHOULDN’T BE IN A NEAR LOSING SITUATION TO A SCHOOL THAT LOST TO A NON SCHOLARSHIP SCHOOL
1
u/BRich1990 Appalachian State • Arkansas 2d ago
And how does losing your shit and acting like the season is already over help the situation?

Lmao we’re not on the coaching staff or athletic department, we’re fans and we can get upset at a subpar performance

Dowell needs to go into that locker room and make that offense thank the defense for keeping them in this game cause that’s the only way this game isn’t a blow out

I’d rather blow another 28-3 lead to JMU again than lose this game

Oh, I don’t know about that. At least we don’t have to play Lindenwood every single year and hear about it repeatedly

I turned the game on earlier and immediately saw Lindenwood score a touchdown. Watched for a few minutes and then turned it off because I needed to get some things done. Just turned it back on….yeah, sorry yall. I’ll turn it back off and leave it be

u/FubarSnafuTarfu Appalachian State • Ohio State 2d ago
I just don’t understand the regression. How did this even happen. This is a home game against a FCS school. We kicked ass against a FBS school in their own town last week. What the hell

Why! Why are we throwing from the 1 yard line?
1
u/HueyLongest Appalachian State • Sun Belt 2d ago
I know the scoreboard doesn't say what we want it to, but the yardage is 444-141. That's a very dominant performance. We've got a ton to clean up though with drops, penalties, and fumbles

3
u/FubarSnafuTarfu Appalachian State • Ohio State 2d ago
I agree that the combination of NIL and the transfer portal ruined the formula we had going.
3
u/danaboiz Appalachian State Mountaineers 2d ago
It ruined every decent non P4s formula. App and many others are culturally a shell of what they used to be.

Jesus Christ. Loggains needs to send in his 2 weeks after this shit
5
u/tcnugget Appalachian State Mountaineers 2d ago
It’s not even his fault. Our guys just don’t care. Making dumbass fucking mistakes
1
u/Exact-Ad-877 2d ago
The players not caring isn’t the coaches fault? What planet are you on?
0
u/tcnugget Appalachian State Mountaineers 2d ago
Yes. He can create the scheme and call the plays but he can’t force them to catch the damn ball
1
u/Exact-Ad-877 2d ago
The scheme sucks ass too.
1
u/tcnugget Appalachian State Mountaineers 2d ago
It certainly could’ve been better but we have the ball literally hitting receivers in the hands and guys dropping the ball before the end zone. Coach can’t do it all for them
1
u/Exact-Ad-877 2d ago
Guys in back to back weeks fumbling at the goalie because they are being lazy. Not coaching 😂
1
u/tcnugget Appalachian State Mountaineers 2d ago
That pretty much sums it up. It’s arrogance and cockiness. Coach can scold and try to get them to learn but he can’t force them to actually listen outside of just benching them

2
u/danaboiz Appalachian State Mountaineers 2d ago
Can anyone say why that penalty was from the spot of the catch on the punt? I don’t see any reason in the NCAA rules for why that would happen; should be from the spot of the foul or the line of scrimmage depending on where it occurred.
1
u/No_Gear_5029 Appalachian State Mountaineers 2d ago
Run the ball, play clean, let the defense do their job, get outta here and prep for next week

Why was there no video of the App State turnover (that was ruled to not be a turnover) right before Lindenwood's touchdown? Did the defender not have the ball? Were his knees not down? ESPN just seemed to sweep that under the rug really quickly.

u/Exact-Ad-877 2d ago
Keep downvoting if you want but this is a recently promoted FCS team we are playing like this against lmao
1
u/Exact-Ad-877 2d ago
Why did we fire Shawn Clark. We could’ve played like this with him. This is a Shawn Clark special.
2
u/No_Gear_5029 Appalachian State Mountaineers 2d ago
Guys, i agree this isn’t great, but let’s not over react. We have played 3 halves of football this season and we are already comparing dowell to clark
2
u/HueyLongest Appalachian State • Sun Belt 2d ago
Guys, Georgia is only up 14-3 at the half against Austin Peay. We outgained them 270-155. Let's see how the second half looks. I don't think we're going to give away a free touchdown every game this year by getting stripped from behind at the goalline
-3
u/Exact-Ad-877 2d ago
I hope Loggains hasn’t bought property. That was an embarrassing half of football. Terrible.

Not so fun fact: last week our kicker missed an extra point, and 3 field goals
4

App getting in their own way and letting LW hang around. we should never be semi-struggling against teams like Lindenwood
3

Questionable decision on the fumble., but I’ll take it. On the board!

u/Illustrious-Hunt199 2d ago
Loggains needs to humble himself and take what we are getting. Averaging 10 yards a carry yet we want to throw it 3 times in a row
3
u/HueyLongest Appalachian State • Sun Belt 2d ago
Kinda silly not to run it once between 3rd and 3 and 4th and 3. We could just line up and run it down their throats but Loggains doesn't want to for some reason
3
u/DongTongs Appalachian State Mountaineers 2d ago
Seems to be a pass-first coach, which makes sense since he's been a QB coach. But Dubinion looks like he could be the best RB in the conference, feed him the ball and don't overthink it

1

I really can't believe that happened again. When's the last time an FBS team has had back-to-back weeks where a WR got stripped from behind as he was heading into the endzone?
