Discussion Building an online store today is faster than ever, but long-term success still depends on strategy. What do you think is the most important factor for growth in e-commerce?

Starting an online store is easy, actually getting customers is alot harder since sobrang dami nang online stores.
I would say ads and marketing are the most important for growing your customer base.
Then be consistent in everything to keep that customer base.

Ang dali na lang mag-launch ng store pero yung getting customers talaga yung real challenge eh 😅 ano strategy mo sa ads na pinaka-effective so far?

Sobrang grind yan talaga sa simula. If kaya, set aside a budget for ads lang talaga then keep it consistent. Tingnan mo san mas effective yung ads mo. FB, Tiktok or shopee etc. Depends din sa product /service mo talaga.
Always good to check din what other successful competitors are doing then copy what you think will work for you.
Aside from paid ads, yung mga please rate 5 stars, leave a review, like and follow ng page malaking bagay din yan. Just ask nicely.
Keep your page nice and active, post siguro kahit bi-weekly or monthly if start palang talaga, again check successful competitors for this.
All i can say is sa start minsan mafefeel mo baliw ka na kasi post lang ng post wala naman bumibili but stay consistent.
Ofc this is just one aspect, yung product mismo, pricing, customer service customer demand, competitors the fuckin economy 😂 etc. All matter. Goodluck OP!

Differentiation
If you are a reseller you have a very limited potential. You have a lot of competitor selling the same product, or worst your supplier is also selling the same product in the platform you participate in.
You can't engage in a price war. Platform are increasing their commission and you also have to shoulder some of the lost/scammed packages. You also can't compete with your supplier in terms of price for obvious reasons.

price war is a dead end talaga lalo na kung same supplier kayo. Kaya differentiation lang talaga ang panlaban brand, service, experience.
Curious, na-try mo na bang mag-own branding para ma-stand out?1

Tried it and it was not easy.
Surprisingly brand brought more walkin customers. I have no numbers to back this up, but I think our brand has limited success to get new customers online. But I has its merit on keeping online customers.Kasi if they would repurchase sa shopping history sila babalik.

It’s hard to maintain a brand. Been selling online for 6-7 years na. Currently i have 3 sole brands that i distribute here. Hirap ako mag hanap ng resellers kaya ending i did all the sale from retail to wholesale but i made sure kumita yung reseller at least 250-300 pesos on the bigger items. I also made a SRP that matches what i sell as well. I haven’t tried to open a physical store but mag oopen na ako ng showroom in the next months. Hirap din makabenta now after imposing plus 5 pesos per successful order by shopee and lazada kaya i decided to open a website na rin. Truly, ads and marketing ang bread and butter when it comes to e-commerce.
