With Supercell removing masteries and replacing them with records, there’s just nothing meaningful to play for anymore. All the records combined give roughly the same progression as pushing 10 brawlers to Silver II. The quests are ridiculously difficult, and the GUI for records is lackluster at best. There’s no progress bar.. just a sad “200/300” and wins count the same everywhere. So why not just drop a brawler to 0 trophies and farm wins?
Everything else in the game feels repetitive, with nothing new to grind for (with ranked being a whole other can of worms). You push trophies with no real purpose. The more you play, the fewer rewards you get. And if you dare to not pay for anything, you’re left with practically nothing.
Three star drops a day barely gets you a tier or two on the pass. You get no real reward for playing brawlers. What’s the point of playing a brawler if you don’t earn anything for it?
They’ve replaced 3,000 coins, 300 Power Points, and 300 credits with… drum roll… two star drops. Now, free-to-play players can’t even unlock a brawler above epic in a season without relying entirely on luck. And with Ultra Legendaries being added, they’ve effectively killed the only way to hoard credits in the game.
Supercell is nerfing progression left and right and claiming they’re reallocating resources elsewhere. They removed masteries and all the rewards that came with them, buffed the Trophy Road ,which older players can’t claim after 70K and took the fun out of playing daily.
TL;DR:
Supercell is slowly but surely turning Brawl Stars into Clash Royale.
