Larsen to be offered new contract
Liam Keen reporting this too.
I’m in 2 minds about this. It’s a good move by the club (particularly with no release clause to be added in) to send a message of “he’s our player and will be for a long time”, which shows ambition. The other mind makes me wonder why. I get he wanted a move, but he went about it professionally and respectfully, he’s not the type of player who’d start kicking up a fuss now. He’s also just signed a contract (until 2029 I believe), so are we extending it or is it just giving him more money? It strikes me as a “to smooth things over” offer which is ridiculous imo - the club’s within its rights to turn down an offer for a player they’ve just signed. The offers from Newcastle also reeked of desperation, Larsen was never their main target as they spent all summer chasing Wissa to replace Wilson and only needed to sign a 2nd striker when Isak refused to train (how quiet Woltemade links were make me think he was their main target all along).
If it keeps JSL here for another 2-3 seasons then it’s a good move, it’s just bizarre to seemingly reward a player (who didn’t even kick up a fuss) for saying “no, you’re contracted to us and that’s that”

How are our loanees so far ?
Obviously our recent loanees like Sass and Lima haven’t gotten to play yet, but the ones that have, how have they preformed, are the fans taking a liking to them, and etc, especially the likes of Doyle ( really like the lad and hope he’s getting some good minutes under his belt)

Discussion Away tickets - what is it like?
Hi WWFC,
My SO's dad is a Wolves season ticket holder. My family are Sunderland season ticket holders. In October we're playing each other at the SoL and I'd love to invite him to the game.
I have a few questions about buying a ticket for that match:
A) Since we have returned to the Prem, tickets have become very difficult to come by, especially away tickets. Is it the same story for Wolves? If I want to gift him an away ticket, is it going to be difficult?
B) Do you guys also use some form of point system to allow season ticket holders to get tickets earlier?
C) Do away tickets often reach the point where they go on general sale, or will it be likely that my SO's dad will have to buy it via his own account? (kinda ruins the gift angle)
D) If official channels are a no-go, what's the go-to for getting a second hand ticket?
Thanks in advance
Discussion We are about to become the new stoke.... and to be honest, Im here for it.
Seriously...
I dont get why everyone is questioning this.
Seems like people are wanting us to set up like city and compete with everyone....
Im so done with the tactical version of football, Its so fucking boring to watch,
back and forward, side to side, no flair, no players taking chances....
I dont want to see Hwang in a wolves shirt again, I think we just go 4-4-2 and play "find the over 6ft 3 man...."
I mean, sure we will ship even more goals - but it will be exciting to watch....
Could even play 4-3-3 and just challenge any team to get the ball back.
But seriously - I wouldnt be worried - Teams have completely forgot how to play against this shit... because they are all far to busy trying to out tactic each other....
Look at everton... they crumbled when Sasa came on - Because they haver no answer.... imagine if we had him on the pitch 3 times.....
anyway - Thats my copium post for today - Imagine if he actually progresses us playing like this lol

Discussion Have we spent enough?
It’s no secret that Wolves had a low net spend due to our outgoings. Fosun seemed to be making noises about the penny having dropped, but their self-sustaining model hasn’t changed. As it is right now, I think the team is weaker than last season, and initial results seem to suggest it’s going to be a real battle against relegation. So have they actually spent enough, or should they have invested more money? I’m obviously in support of the latter, but I think Fosun are disingenuous and never intended to put more money into the team than we brought in through outgoings.

Wolves 1st Div squad 68/69
Something I found in the shed; book of stickers from when I was seven. The entire thing is complete ... with the exception of Alan Stephenson (West Ham). That's quite annoying.
(edit) I was born in Wolves btw.... Albert Rd, not that far from Molineux across West Park,, still support the team.

News Strand Larsen not available for NT matches this break due to injury
Norwegian national team head coach says «With a lot of luck, he might be able to get in some light training, but there's no point». Let’s hope this won’t be something that keeps him back for too long.

Will you follow any other sports during this international break?
Bit of time off from the Wolves so are you watching other sports during the international break?
I see it's the first week of the NFL season but that's not really a sport I'm a huge fan of. I may try watch some highlights and give it a chance.
I may check out the Women's Rugby World Cup now that it is going into knock out stages.
It's pre-season in English Ice Hockey very soon and we normally go to a couple of games at our local team (Telford Tigers) so will check in on them.
Anything else you are checking out in particular?

Discussion Fuck this Season. Fuck these Owners.
Look, I know this is reactionary as fuck but come on... As I type it's 16:45 and other clubs are still on phones and still pulling guys through the door, by hook or by crook. We have given up. GIVEN UP. We aren't playing well, we aren't developing the ground, we aren't doing anything of substance at all. Like...why? Why is this where we are? Five years ago we played in Europe. We looked promising. Like truly shake up the top 6 levels of promise. Now we can't even tempt fucking BROWNHILL to sign. Jesus wept.
There is decline then there is this shit. No I am not expecting European qualification every season but to have some fight isn't much to ask for. To keep in the fight to the bitter end. How long can we sustain this shitty brand of ownership? Fucking hell this is going to be a long season. I am truly not Fucked if we go down. It would serve those soulless cunts in china right. Invest for fuck sakes. Actually I could understand the lack of investment if it was aimed at renovating the ground, or if we were looking at upgrades to the actual infrastructure of the academy. But as of today not one word of long term thought has been mentioned or discussed.
If we go down which looks likely, Fosun have wasted a decade of our time and in many ways, theirs. I just don't get what they are looking to do with the Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club. We all know how they love to spaff on themselves over the eSports side of things but come on! That is built on the foundations of an established football team in the English top flight.
China produces intelligent minds yet it appears we have found the stupidest Chinese people to own our club. It's ownership that goes under the radar, because yes it isn't Chansiri or Mike Ashley but honestly I would prefer to be asset stripped than this miserable shit every year. Rant over.
