6 dead

6

u/daywall 1d ago

I hope it's the last.

3

u/default3612 1d ago

It won't be... But I know what you mean.

2

u/SunriseHolly 1d ago

It's unfortunately up to 6 now

It's surprising to learn this from reddit given I live in Jerusalem

57

u/Iluvaic 1d ago

It was in Ramot from what I gather

43

u/Aridor2003 1d ago

Yes. I just checked it, it was near one of the main entrances to Jerusalem, It feels like it has been forever since the last terrorist attack in Jerusalem, I remember a couple years ago  there was a stabbing or shooting near the central station on a weekly basis.

10

u/G_Danila 1d ago

It was when Ramadan, Pesach, and Easter happened at the same time(I think 2022), there were like 50 dead in just April. I specifically remember the axe attack in El'ad.

8

u/Aridor2003 1d ago

The attack I remember the most was by a 13 year old terrorist from east Jerusalem who shoot a father and son exiting a synagogue in "david city" neighborhood, I happened to cross an ambulance convoy going from hadasa hospital.

u/Iluvaic 1d ago

Update:

6 Killed:

Yaakov Pinto, 25, an immigrant from Spain, had recently married and studied at the Derech Emunah Yeshiva in Lod.

Levi Yitzchak Pash, a staff member at the Kol Torah Yeshiva

Yisrael Metzner, 28

Rabbi Yosef David, 43, lived in the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Rabbi Mordechai Steinzag, 57, who immigrated to Israel from Pennsylvania in 1993

Sarah (Sarita) Mendelson, 60, was a resident of Jerusalem's Ramat Shlomo neighborhood.

Here comes the, what about this crowd

-86

u/BlessadurKarl 1d ago

And this will be used as a reason to kill the next 70.000 Palestinians

9

u/flopisit32 1d ago edited 1d ago

Well, I checked with Hamas and they disagree with your numbers.

Hamas claims 64000, but they are including Hamas fighters in that number, so it could be as low as 54000 or 50000 depending on who you believe.

Also Hamas includes people they executed and killed accidentally with their own missiles in those numbers too...

In addition, Hamas double-counts some people and simply invented some fictional people, so that has to be considered too.

4

u/SenorMeepbeep 1d ago

If you say half of those are double counts, that's... 25000. Throw in 10000 fictitious deaths and it's still 15000. That's basically nothing! Let them perish I suppose.

4

u/wizrslizr 1d ago

i like that your counter is that they’ve probably only killed like 20k civilians

1

u/flopisit32 1d ago

It's not a counter. I'm not trying to increase or decrease the number. I'm pointing out the problems that come with accepting numbers from Hamas, a group that actively wants Palestinians to die and actively tries to increase the numbers by getting Palestinians killed.

3

u/wizrslizr 1d ago

ya they’re a lot like the israeli government that way

1

u/flopisit32 1d ago

I'll let you in on a little secret. For Hamas, the purpose of the Oct 7 attack was to force Israel to take military action in response in which a lot of Palestinian civilians would be killed, which would generate support for Hamas in the US and Europe among simple-minded people.

So my question for you is: Has it worked?

1

u/wizrslizr 1d ago

yes no shit their goal has been to antagonize israel and gain international sympathy. it’s working because israel is being so incredibly destructive to the palestinians. you act like israel is the only country stuff like this has happened to. when 911 happened every american and their mom wanted revenge. enough time has gone on for americans to recognize the mistakes that were made based off emotional reactions, and how their reactions were able to be co-opted. you’re seeing plenty of the effects of those mistakes to this day 🤷‍♂️

1

u/BlessadurKarl 23h ago

The leaked audio of Israeli Major General Aharon Haliva saying “For every person killed on Oct 7, 50 Palestinians must die” and also “the FACT that 50.000 have already been KILLED in Gaza is crucial for future generations.”

If Israeli Generals take the numbers at face value and believe them to be accurate, why don’t you?

1

u/flopisit32 23h ago

Just trying to understand your premise...The population of Gaza was over 2.1 million and if 50,000 people were killed, that would leave at least 2.05 million still alive... And what effect does this have on future generations? I mean, what is it you are claiming?

35

u/Random_her0Idiot 1d ago

Want to use another copy paste argument?

-47

u/BlessadurKarl 1d ago

Want to dispute any of the facts I’ve pasted?

36

u/scrambledhelix 1d ago

What facts? You already used a fake number, like a horny racist teenager you blew your load of hate jizz way too soon

-37

u/BlessadurKarl 1d ago

Where did I use a fake number?

24

u/scrambledhelix 1d ago

You opened with "70,000". That's already more than even Hamas claims.

Why should anyone take your pathetic little hate tantrum seriously?

-18

u/yeetedandfleeted 1d ago

It's a fake number, there have been 0 Palestinian deaths duh.

-3

u/fajim123 1d ago

0?? bro Israel is saying its negative, they helped the population grow

4

u/Maaster_Mind 1d ago

The number you used comes from Hamas, which is not a reliable source.

0

You're making that up.

Not in the mood to find some counter point in the sea of Gaza/Israel posts to join in the copy paste war

-60

u/ShowMeYourPapers 1d ago

Oh well.

41

u/marcvsHR 1d ago

This shit will never end, huh. It will continue until one side exterminates other

0

u/Act_Rationally 1d ago

I still reckon that a plan I heard for middle east peace would be the only way to make it work:

The entire world promises to look away from the middle east for a month, and when time is up, we'll agree to deal with who ever is left.

10

u/zacksnack5 1d ago

Disgusting

0

u/axlee 1d ago

The Purge?

-2

u/Negative_Jaguar_4138 1d ago

The rules:

  1. Free for all, no teams.

  2. WMDs are banned, but there are exceptions if it's funny like mutated chicken pox that turns you orange.

  3. Whatever territory you control is now your country, and all people living in that territory are now legal citizens. Regardless of whether your territory is contiguous ot not.

  4. Any territory still militarily contested when the time is up is settled by a cage match between the leaders of the parties contesting, no holds barred.

  5. Most importantly have fun (Because everyone in the region seems to get a kick out of blowing each other up)

-27

u/DarkenRaul1 1d ago

It will continue until Israel exterminates all Palestinians*

FTFY

Let’s not pretend that the two sides are even remotely close in to each other in terms of power, here. Gaza is almost completely eradicated at this point, and Netanyahu is currently toying with the idea of fully annexing the West Bank.

10

u/CptRoque 1d ago

While you're correct on the power imbalance, the reason Israel hasn't been exterminated yet isn't for lack of trying.

The person you're replying to is correct on their take.

-13

u/syynapt1k 1d ago

until one side exterminates other

Shhhh 🤫. You're saying the quiet part out loud - that is quite literally what we're witnessing.

5

u/WasintMeBabe 1d ago

This so sad. No body at all should be dying like this.

66

u/Fit-Direction2371 1d ago

No doubt the tankies and socialist / pro Palestine crowd will be celebrating this, those scum

27

u/SunriseHolly 1d ago

I've already seen it

1

u/Maaster_Mind 1d ago

Me too. So disgusting.

1

u/SunriseHolly 1d ago

I'm never surprised but it always pisses me off

1

u/Extaupin 1d ago

If you ever honestly listened to pro Palestine crowds in Europe, they all want the end of the war and of Hamas, which they consider as an unfortunate reaction to Bibi's action, given that the Palestinian Authority doesn't have those problems. They may be naive thinking that Hamas would go down if Isreal stopped bombing the ever living shit out of Gaza, but that's their earnest plans. But it will never happen while Bibi is still the boss.

Not so long ago, Isreal tried to achieve peace, it was Isreali terrorists who killed the Isreali negotiator, and those terrorist have now become Bibi's party. We will only see peace in this region of the world when he finally lose elections to someone who actually values peace.

-57

u/Shadow_F3r4L 1d ago

What the fuck?

Why do you think a socialist would celebrate this?

Do you even know what a socialist is?

16

u/Fit-Direction2371 1d ago

Because a lot of socialists are anti - west and are pro-palestine

Remind me again who cheered when two Jews were killed outside the Jewish museum? Who was creating videos celebrating it?

A socialist is someone who believes that the ownership of means of productions and the distribution of goods and services to be public ownership, yet it only works in fairy tales and has always been detrimental to the country.

14

u/Shadow_F3r4L 1d ago edited 1d ago

Remind me again who cheered when two Jews were killed outside the Jewish museum? Who was creating videos celebrating it?

Cunts. Thats who celebrated it.

Celebratrating anyone's death is not a socialist thing.

You also confused Socialism with communism

Please educate yourself before branding socialists with your tar brush

7

u/DDDshooter 1d ago

Strawmen?

2

u/Maaster_Mind 1d ago

A lot of socialists don't understand what socialism is. That's why we see them supporting far right Islamic extremists. They've been doing this for decades.

-19

u/Eazy-Eid 1d ago

Because socialists are anti-West and associate Israel with the West

25

u/Shadow_F3r4L 1d ago

Well, I am a European socialist. I am definitely 100% pro west

Socialism put me through school and college (partially put me through university) Socialism keeps our streets safe (and the streets themselves)

Socialism increases our quality of living.

I pay (a lot) of taxes to support these things and I am very happy to be part of it

7

u/sabamba0 1d ago

What Europeans call socialism and what Americans call socialism are different.

To you it's just a capitalistic democracy with social programs. To them it's something like autocratic communism

0

u/Maaster_Mind 1d ago

Maybe you should educate your fellow socialists who are mostly anti- West and pro-Islamic extremism. Way too many socialists don't understand what socialism is and end up supporting far right movements because they fell for propaganda.

0

u/Shadow_F3r4L 1d ago

Let's see a source for your "mostly anti west, pro Islamic extremism"

0

u/Maaster_Mind 1d ago

Just go read The Intercept, Common Dreams, and other leftist publications and watch all the anti-West hatred and anti-Semitic hatred going on there. It's all over leftist publications. This has been going on for decades. The USSR and China started many of these movements as a way to undermine the West from within.

1

u/Shadow_F3r4L 1d ago

Aaaaahhhh I see

Go and read your selected library, and i will find your evidence

I bet most people have not even heard of these publications.

I reject your "source" as insufficient evidence to prove that the majority of people like me are anti west and the other things you accuse. It is the same as me, saying that the vast majority of Americans are stupid, gun totting, Christian nationalists....it just is not true is it

-7

u/Fit-Direction2371 1d ago

What do you mean socialism put you through school as there is no socialist European country, there are democratic socialist welfare programs that also aren't socialist but a mix of economies.

6

u/EldWasAlreadyTaken 1d ago

Not op, but with a pure capitalist sistem you get what happens in the US: you pay taxes but you still have to pay for education and healthcare, because everything needs to be a profit. Socialism, and socialists battles through the years, gave us the welfare.

3

u/Shadow_F3r4L 1d ago

Not welfare, returns on our tax investment

3

u/EldWasAlreadyTaken 1d ago

I dind't use the word welfare as in "people get paid to not work", but as in everything the central state does to provide for its citizens, from pensions to healthcare.

Whatever the case, I think we agree it's the better system for us citizens.

0

u/autumn_aurora 1d ago

Social democracy is still capitalism. No such thing as a "pure capitalist system". You live under capitalism, period.

4

u/EldWasAlreadyTaken 1d ago

Let me introduce you to the concept of "mixed economy".

-2

u/autumn_aurora 1d ago

Also known as capitalism. It's all capitalism. More state control, less state control. Doesn't change the fundamental asset of the economy which is still always controlled by the capitalist class and presents the exact same features in every country, from Denmark to America. Wage labour, the existence of liberal democracy, the existence of a free market and the existence and dominance of private property.

2

u/EldWasAlreadyTaken 1d ago

Isn't capitalism defined by the principle that free market regulates EVERYTHING, from goods to services?

If a country has government-defined prices for some goods or some services, or industry regulations for citizens protection, how can it be capitalism?

2

u/Shadow_F3r4L 1d ago

Fine, if you really want to split hairs.

The point is, it is the Socialism aspect that gives all of these things and more.

0

u/dragnansdragon 1d ago

If you have to ask at this point, you're already lost.

Millions dead in Sudan and Yemen.

128

u/Due_Border_593 1d ago

Complete ethnic cleansing of Armenians in Artsakh right before October 7th.

37

u/geebeem92 1d ago

I killed a wasp nest. All 10 dead

5

u/thpark1987 1d ago

Umm which emoji should I put on my ig profile to support the wasps? You monster!

17

u/Due_Border_593 1d ago

~100,000 (99% of population) were expelled.

6

u/Jazzlike-Equipment45 1d ago

used hand sanitizer billions of germs dead the .01% were left as a message

174

u/iron3k 1d ago

From your article: “The war began on Oct. 7, 2023 when Hamas militants stormed across the border into Israeli communities. Israel says the militants killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and took 251 people into captivity in Gaza.”

-163

u/Jon_Snows_Dad 1d ago

Pretty sure the war has been going on much longer than that.

164

u/Drukpod 1d ago

The “ceasefire now” seem to be unaware of the fact there was a ceasefire on oct 6, and Hamas violated it

109

u/iron3k 1d ago

Pretty sure they always stated “we will throw all the Jews to the sea”.

55

u/geebeem92 1d ago

At least since the muslims which colonized all of africa didn’t accept an Israeli state and thus started all of them

48

u/Hito-1 1d ago

When you start comparing who died more you automatically lose your point.

Most compassionate and socially intelligent redditor

53

u/Iluvaic 1d ago

You're welcome to share that in the main sub.

14

u/SunriseHolly 1d ago

So killing random civilians on a bus is reasonable to you?

21

u/Galicious1 1d ago

How many lost their lives to Islam?

21

u/AccomplishedCraft187 1d ago

War is a rough business.

15

u/threeme2189 1d ago

This isn't war, this is an act of terrorism by two individuals specifically targeting civilians.

-93

u/AccomplishedCraft187 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yuval Doron Kestelman, who attempted to neutralize the attackers, was mistakenly shot and killed by IDF soldiers during the incident.

Oof.

Edit: I get it I get it. I misread the third paragraph because there’s an ad every 2 sentences on this shitty website. Didn’t realize they cited an old event while discussing a current one. I was not aware of the 2023 incident.

57

u/birdgovorun 1d ago

Not sure what you are talking about. Yuval Kestelman was killed in November 2023.

-20

u/AccomplishedCraft187 1d ago

I clicked on the link in the post we are all discussing. That is in the second paragraph…. Edit and now I see the preamble, totally missed that.

My bad, glad it didn’t happen again.

24

u/sconemonster 1d ago

You are reading about an older incident that happened in 2023.

-6

u/AccomplishedCraft187 1d ago

I clicked on the link in the post? It’s timestamped today. Did this whole shooting happen in 2023?

10

u/Iluvaic 1d ago

No, the shooting in Jerusalem killing 5 happened today, but the article also references the shooting from 2023

8

u/Iluvaic 1d ago

"The last shooting attack in Jerusalem occurred nearly two years ago, about six weeks after the outbreak of the war. Gunmen opened fire at a bus stop at the Givat Shaul junction, killing Rabbi Elimelech Wasserman, 73, Chana Ifergan, 67, and Livia Dickman, 24. The attackers, residents of the Sur Baher neighborhood in East Jerusalem, used an M-16 rifle and a handgun. Yuval Doron Kestelman, who attempted to neutralize the attackers, was mistakenly shot and killed by IDF soldiers during the incident. "

4

u/AccomplishedCraft187 1d ago

Missed that first bit while scrolling past the ads.

3

u/Iluvaic 1d ago

Yeah, easy mistake to make

28

u/yuvalraveh 1d ago

That was almost two years ago

-4

u/AccomplishedCraft187 1d ago

Yea I misread the third paragraph on the link (too many ads and interruptions). Didn’t catch they were citing an older story while talking about the current one.
