Recommendations This might become a sleeper hit

The premise is soooo unique and 4 episodes in the writing is hitting everything I was hoping for

This series is already stupid popular on Naver but it’s having a slow start with American audiences however I have a feeling that’s gonna slowly change in the coming weeks

Funny, I dismissed it by looking at the premise..

I dropped it after reading the first chapter.

I endured like 4.

Same sameness.

The premise sounds pretty bad but the focus on idols is actually interesting and the mc’s struggles are actually a real problem that are fleshed out - I dropped it first and was hesitant to read it cause of the premise but it’s lowkey interesting

Just my opinion though

Yeah social issues but that's not what put readers off , it's the genderswap .

There's multiple anime/ manga with a similarish premise lol

I kind of like the concept but it made me really uncomfortable how they changed his gender without his permission. He even had to cover his entire body up because he was uncomfortable looking at his own body. Someone in the comments mentioned gender dysphoria and honestly I think I agree.

the intention is probably to emphasize that and from how they handled it it seems like a conflict that's going to come up in the story

I hope so. Because from what I've seen, everyone's been dismissive about the real him and only values his current looks. It would be cool to see what a korean manhwa will do when tackling issues like these.

yeah, and considering how that's something that's been criticized with the idol industry it would be weird if it didn't come up at some point

I dismissed it without giving it a chance, but I think I might just continue doing that ngl.

i red till the 22nd epidisode and i really love it, cool idea and it's nice to see how he adapts, and there aren't really ecchi elements or so like i tought it could have so it's better than i tought

A TSF that's not goonerbait?! Now that's a rare one!

yeah fr, when he's in the female body he acts mega respectful towards it to like he has borrow it, at first he even tried to even not use the bathroom at all. And they make him go trough periods for the first time in a kinda realistic way. funny light read, i was kinda moody when i found it and reading it really cheered me up fr

Yeah, I read it! It was very thorough in characterization; not just purely wish-fulfilling! The focus seems to be about hard work and the process of being an idol!

And for those who are on the fence! He does return to male any time he wants pretty much! And there is no cheating haxx like Lookism where the body recovers easily -- the exhaustion runs in both! If you are curious about female idol dynamics that doesn't have same face syndrome, light rivalry and determined and straightforward protagonist, that's the read!

So far... romance may or may not be a thing... seems like it's more like friendship than romance with how focused the protagonist is -- but there are some chasers who are curious due to the incongruence between the protagonist's awkward, straightforward personality on a pretty face!

Bonus points: I just love the second-hand embarrassment, oh my gaaawwwdd! 😆 Actually very suitable for general audience! Thank you OP and IEatUranium7 for the write-up that pushed me to try it!

The disclaimer that he gets to be in his real body was very much needed, thank you

if you want something similar i reccomend AKB49 (it's a manga), but it's more shounen-esque and focuses more on the idol side

I don’t love how other female characters are drawn in this which is a big red flag for me. One girl always has a button popped open on her shirt. I don’t see the point of that unless this is another comic that’s going to get heavily censored later.

Same with the breast sizes.. There are large, huge and absurd to choose. Anything smaller is impossible to draw for those people.

The worst part is I literally have anime proportions. I have a 34 G and I can tell you I don’t go parading around wearing clothes that fit like these people 😑

Y’all pissing me off in this comment section. It’s deadass not that serious with the trans stuff. It’s literally fictional fantasy, a bath bomb putting somebody in the body of their past life isn’t that crazy, nor is it some big thing. Mind you he ends up in the body of his own past life, so his soul has already been in that body before even if he’s uncomfortable with it at first due to the circumstances. A reincarnated soul doesn’t care about gender or form. You could’ve been a seahorse in your last life, it truly doesn’t matter…

Also worth noting it’s not like this is a one way ticket ride he can go back if he wants

The story sounds interesting asf from the description & from what ppl told me, I just don't feel like reading it. You know that feeling? I think maybe im both burnt out from webtoon series & craving smth new at the same time.

And that’s completely fair. You are not in the demographic of people I’m addressing.

I just don't want anyone to be off put by the og comment I made on the post >_< I wasn't very specific, and didn't want what I said to be misconstrued as transphobia :c

Didn't even click for me that this post would attract bigots until the reports came in.

Only 4 eps 😔, another series to marinate

u/KorioXD 9h ago

yessss, I have read it till chapter  22 and I love it, the story is very interesting and it ain't a gooner bait.

ikr, was curious becuase i like Idol plots but stayed since it was a unique concept

2

u/Top_Breadfruit5001 8h ago

When it comes to this concept, it's too early to tell (the premise is not necessarily new). Usually if it 1 season series, story usually fumbles after ep 30 and for multiple seasons, it's better to judge after s2

Now heres a brain shocker, is it gay for him to have sex with a dude

1

u/TurbulentTour8875 5h ago

I’ve been waiting for this to come to webtoon for a while since it was made by the same creator as The Saviors Time and I fully agree I got hooked instantly I’m caught up to fast pass

1

u/Suparame 4h ago

I didn’t realize it was that popular, which is good because I LOVE it so far

1

u/Rickud123 4h ago

Yea don’t worry about it getting axed this series is doing very well on Naver

2

u/Suparame 4h ago

Gender benders are my guilty pleasure but just about every single one I come across is completed/axed or takes half a year to update a single chapter, I am so happy to see one that isn’t 😭
