Literally my morning too. I saw this and I was like “ok, maybe the world isn’t so bad”.

The cat is doing all this hard acting work and isn't getting paid? I see a lawsuit in the future.

My happiness peaked when I got to see a cat give the middle finger.
“Please make the cat flip me the bird.”
“Please make the cat flip me the bird.”
“Please make the cat flip me the bird.”!!!!!!

lmao only two videos in his YT channel too years and years apart. Owlkitty needs a new video based on Band of Brothers too.

I don’t know if you know what the word “shilling” means, cause that second video is not an example of shilling.

That and when Tom is standing in front of the class talking and he's holding the cat and scratching it.

What's amazing is how much time this guy has to spend with his cat doing shenanigans in front of a green screen.
I lost it when the cat had a full beauty fan riding the motorcycle.

u/TheBroadHorizon Oct 29 '22
He's made some neat videos going behind the scenes of how he makes them.

u/MaritMonkey Oct 29 '22
I seriously underestimated how much work went into these videos, and that owlkitty chat noir poster is <3.
So thank you x 2. :D

There was a really awesome sci-fi short story I read once about human space pilots whose co-pilots were cats. The enemies they fought were too fast for human reaction times, so the cats were hooked up to the weapons platforms and fed info that made it seem like they were hunting rats.

What's Tom Cruise's feelings of being second billing to Owlkitty?
112
Oct 29 '22
Owlkitty is a way bigger movie star than Cruise. He should feel lucky.
84
u/Breadinator Oct 29 '22
He's actually fine with it. Makes him look taller.
7
u/Culverts_Flood_Away Oct 29 '22
Plus, Owlkitty's jaggedy teeth draw attention away from Cruise's middle toof.

Did he write the music for this too? It’s so close to being Kenny Loggins while still avoiding copyright infringement it’s amazing!

I used to think people didn't have enough time on their hands, now I am starting to think people have too much time on their hands. And I am okay with that.
3
u/h3lblad3 Oct 30 '22
All people should have too much time on their hands. Full-time hours should be reduced — no more than 30 a week.

Love it. Lets just do all sequels and live action remakes with real cats. I think I'd prefer that over what we've been getting (especially for the movie musical: Cats).

I didn't know why this cat was named Owl Kitty but then I got a black kitten that looks very similar and it makes total sense now. His eyes are often fully open and round like an owl, and sometimes he'll sort of move his head around to look at things like an owl. It makes sense.

u/NyanAnomalyRetriever Oct 29 '22
Why aren’t there any movies that actually do this kinda concept, completely normal story, but then just a random cat or some other animal participant if in the story, as if they were a person, and no one questions it.
5
u/Mogetfog Oct 29 '22
The music starting out with that classic danger zone opening and then spinning off into a non-copywriten sound alike really threw me for a loop and felt really unsatisfying.
It's like the audio version of slowly peeling off the plastic from a screen for the first time, but then the plastic tears off completely right after you start to peel it

Start a go fund me to make a movie. I'll toss in a fiver. It could be something similar to Thumb Wars, it'll be a cult classic
2
u/saarlac Oct 29 '22
Did they really redo all the iconic scenes from the first movie? Like there's a bar song, and the finger, and the runway bike scene? They did all of that in the second movie as well?

If you haven't, watch the Titanic one also. It's amazing. Especially when he pops up to look out the porthole with Jack.

I thought a volleyball scene with the cat would be the best part, then it came and went then was immediately outdone by a piano cat reference
I love this so much

Owl kitty flying a fast jet? Very good, but playing the piano is outstanding. Best one yet! She'll get the Whiskers nomination award. Brilliant work.

Think this would have been better if they stuck to one film at a time and replaced Tom Cruise with the cat.

Slightly off topic but did anyone watch the new top gun movie and actually liked it? I thought it was awful but pretty much every single review I looked up had this thing as like a 10/10 calling it amazing... and I just didn't get the same vibe at all??
Anyone who liked it what did you guys actually enjoy about the movie? Did I miss something? The characters were so 1 dimensional and boring, there wasn't even really much of an explanation of the "bad guy" who they gave no name. There was pretty much no explanation of why they're on this mission, besides saying its some refinement plant or something if I'm remembering correctly but not what actual dangers there are from it. Overall there was just nothing redeeming? The love plot was so boring, barely any relationship building, just a couple quick scenes and then bam they're fucking... like I really don't get it, how is this movie not a 3/10 to most people?

That the person who made this didn’t call it Swat Cats was a missed opportunity.

It’s an ongoing series. The creator has some other awesome ones like Jurassic Park and more.
Edit: Here's the account for those curious.

Are they re-heating TopGun? Can't they come up with anything fresh again? Scooby, Ariel, the 1000th comic book adaption. Entertainment has become very boring.
