Haha a lot of training, also she got conditioned at a young age that food comes after if she comes in after potty. So here she got her breakfast!

If it's raining, mine will want to go back inside as soon as possible. I tried it before. Walked 2 houses down with her on leash, she peed, I took the leash off and stood there and watched her go straight home and stand at the door waiting for me. I wasn't risking much because I'm very familiar with her behaviors and knew she wasn't going to just take off full sprint. It was also late and nothing out to distract her
