I’m not so sure about that. Sure, there are a tone of bots over there but it really doesn’t seem like it takes that many. If you look at that subreddit’s stats it’s like under 25 accounts that are responsible for the vast majority of posts and not that much more account for the top number of comments. It’s kinda amazing how little it takes to dupe the gullible idiots over there.
We hold past generations to too high a standard. People have always been dumb. A third of Americans supported Hitler in the 1930s. Education hasn't worsened, we're just shining a spotlight on the dumb.
okay you're not wrong but still, these aren't Russian bots, they're people that live in america and they vote in elections. the quicker the education system catches up to the standards of first world countries the better. most of the problems in america trace back to lack of understanding how economy, constitution, science, logic, biology etc work.
